Card Design Conquest

Have you ever wanted to design a card in Conquest of Champions? Do you think that your card idea is awesome enough to be implemented into the game? Well here is your chance! We have given OhSnap the go-ahead to run the first ever community driven: Conquest of Champions Card Design Contest.

Patch Notes (1.1.12)

Patch 1.1.12 7/30/2014

Today's patch is focused on tuning some balance issues that have came up since the last patch, as well as some other quality of life enhancements.

Improvements
  • EM Rankings will use the smallest ELO delta possible. If two players start with similar ELO’s but spread apart by the end of the match then it will use the start ELO delta. If two players start with a large ELO difference but end the match relatively close to each other then it will use the end match ELO delta. This change is in regards to concerns with potential ways to game the EM system.
  • New Card Art
    • Improved the general look of cards
    • Cards now display the range and cooldown to activated abilities on soldiers
  • AI is now smarter! We educated the AI a bit on spell usage and they should no longer do things such as hammer smash their own units. More lessons to come.

Balance
  • We rolled back the increased cost for leveled up cards.
  • Draw 1 Card costs 2 gems now instead of 1
  • +2 AP costs 3 gems now instead of 2
  • Embercult
    • Infused Corpse - cost increased to 14, base damage reduced to 110, base HP’s to 300. Infused now only grants +8 HP’s instead of +10
    • Crypt Lord - cost increased to 16
    • Living Ooze - range reduced to 1, cost reduced to 18
    • Berserker - cost increase to 16, Rampage only triggers after Attacked now, instead of damage
    • Meatslab - cost increased to 3
    • Reaper Demon - cost increased to 6 - tribute value increased, DEF raised to 5
    • Demon Scout - Added Vaporize (Target friendly soldier within 4 spaces takes 50 damage and has enemy debuffs and enhancements removed.) - cost increased to 7
    • Necromancer’s summon ability was re-costed, resulting in her cost to be increased to 13
    • Dragonkin General's Manipulate ability value increased, General now cost 14. DAM increased to 135
    • Spectral Corpse cost increased to 13 (due to assault value increase)
    • Undead Ranger - DEF increased slightly, cost increased to 13 due to value increase for double attack
    • Skorn’s Sacrifice Epic now requires a minimum of 5 cost soldier
    • Blights Unearth ability now reduces his max HP’s by 50
  • Stonehold
    • Mountain Sniper - damage reduced slightly, cost reduced to 18
    • Mine engineer - cost reduced to 12, def and damage reduced slightly
    • Silver Dragon - cost reduced to 16, Def reduced to 30
    • Anvil Totem - HP increase changed to 50 from 25 on spellcast
    • Battlerager - cost increased to 14, dam increased slightly
    • Runecharger - cost decreased to 12, def slightly decreased
    • Last Stand: damage changed to +100
    • Dwarven Patriarch increased to 14 (tribute value increase)
    • Wise Nomad’s Refund ability now refunds 2 gold with each spell cast
    • Field Commander - cost increased to 12 (value rating increase for manipulate and assault)
    • Gorin's Groggle soldiers now have Rush (uses 7 minerals)
    • Dwarven Commander - damage increased slightly, cost increased to 13 due to value increase for double attack
    • BattlePlan cost reduced to 5
    • Iron Paladin cost reduced to 13
  • Briarwood
    • Ranger - cost increased to 14
    • Fibian Ranger cost decreased to 7, def reduced slightly
    • Elven Shadow - cost decreased to 9, damage reduced slightly
    • Glimpse - cost reduced to 3
    • Forest Bounty - cost reduced to 5
    • Rampaging Bristlebear - cost reduced to 10, damage reduced slightly
    • Bristlebear Alpha increased to 13 (value rating increase for assault)
    • Archivist cost increased to 19 (value increase of telepathy)

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the AI to stall and not use certain units in Practice Battles
  • Fixed Manipulate speed which would occasionally cause an extremely long float time.
  • Fixed a mouse disable bug after Double Attacking someone with Counter.
  • Fixed Grommit+Skullhead staff overlap that would result in 2 units being stuck on same tile (skeleton and the soulspark).
  • Fixed Warlock Staff not triggering

Conquest of Champions is the perfect blend of Collectible Card Games and deep turn-based tactical strategy that only the creators of PoxNora could deliver. Think 'Magic the Gathering' meets 'Warhammer' or Chess.

Build your personal deck strategy and bring your cards to life by summoning fully animated creatures, casting devastating spells, and equipping powerful weapons all within battlegrounds that are reminiscent of tabletop miniature warfare.

Modes

You can choose to complete an entire match in real-time or you can take turns asynchronously and complete matches that extend over several days.


Conquest offers both PvP and single player options. In PvP you can challenge your friends or climb the leaderboards & compete in tournaments by battling ranked opponents. Currently our single player options are just practice battles but our development roadmap includes full campaigns and boss battles.

Free to Play

Conquest is free-to-play in that you are given a free Hero and starter deck when you register which is everything you need to be competitive. You will earn additional cards, components (used in crafting), gold, and experience just by taking ranked turns and completing matches and quests. As you play you will be able to expand and customize your deck with the cards you unlock. If you aren't sure which faction to use, feel free to create alternate accounts to try them all! Note: We will also be exploring ways to unlock each faction under one free account in upcoming updates. Stay tuned!


For those who do not want to wait, we offer a variety of DLC bundles which will help scratch your collector's itch. The 'Starter' includes a Hero of each faction so you can explore all three factions immediately. The 'Mega-Hero' includes every Hero & starter deck in our release set at a discount. And the 'Complete Release Set' is geared towards the 'completionist' in all of us.

Features

* 3 game modes: Single Player Campaign, Asynchronous PVP, or Real Time PVP.

* Customize unique decks with over 130 cards at launch.
* 3 Factions to choose from: Stonehold (Dwarves and Constructs), Briarwood (Elves, Beasts and Treefolk), and Embercult (Demons and Undead)
* Each soldier has unique attributes and up to two special abilities such as ‘Double Attack’ or ‘Chain Lightning’.
* Earn experience, gold, components, and cards by taking turns in ranked matches or completing friendly matches.

* Make cards more powerful by fusing them together.
* Craft exotic rare cards by completing sets of components earned through gameplay.

Early Access

We are excited to open the doors to the beta to give a sneak peek at what is coming with Conquest. While the game is very much playable we have a great deal of features to add. Some of which include:

- Expansion Content: We will be releasing regular expansions to add additional depth and strategy to the game.
- Auction House / Trader
- Tablet Build: With cross-platform support.
- Guilds
- Automated Tournaments: Round Robin, Draft, etc
- Talent Points: Per Faction Talent Trees
- Multiple Decks Per Hero: This is a big one we are hearing about from current players and we are listening!
- Unique Skins for Heroes/Soldiers
- Spectator Mode / Replays: Ability to watch others play. This was highly demanded during our first tournament and we can't wait to get it in.

Если не клон, то аналог Hero Academy. Вот только сказать, что эта игра лучше, не получится. Перед нами открывается:

* Скудная графика;
* Система дропа;
* Карточки;
* Квесты;
* Гильдии;
* DLC.

Карты подгружаются долго, к примеру, обучение грузится 5-10 минут! Бои скучны, анимация плохая. За боевой площадкой смотреть неудобно - её надо крутить вверх-вниз. Армия хоть и разнообразна, но выделить хоть одного, не получится - не запоминаются. Интерфейс не интуитивный, приходится к нему привыкать.
Главные герои, которых ввели, как боевую единицу, слишком громоздкие. Если соберёшь определенное количество ресурсов (на разных половинах карты есть рудники, с них надо добывать ресурсы), то ваш герой получит бонусы к урону и защите, что является скорее не фишкой, а дисбалансом.

Все новые идеи - лишние. Они только мешают. Разработчики обещают вводить новый контент, включая и платный, как можно чаще, но зачем переплачивать, когда есть игра, с которой скопировали идею? В общем, ещё одна бессмысленная игра, которая тоже канет в лету. Она не может затянуть, в ней нет того, что могло реально зацепить.

Эта игра предлагает два пути развития: безумно медленный гринд, либо покупка карт за реал, при этом получение нужных карт не гарантируется, а обмена в игре нет и неясно, будет ли. Плюс очень неудобный и неинформативный интерфейс заточенный под тач-скрины, мизерное количество контента, хромой баланс и отсутствие игроков
