About This Game

WHEEL TO WHEEL, PRECISION SHOOTING ACTION.

4 Teams of 2. One driver and one shooter. Each Team battling it out to be the first to cross the finish line.

Drivers go flat-out pushing horsepower limits behind the wheel of high-concept super cars in an all out blitz over tarmac and dirt. Shooters push firepower limits in high-tech military grade turrets, covering their driver, taking out opposing vehicles & turrets and jockeying for the most advantages turret positions around the track.

Team-work, intensity, vehicle countermeasures like flares and chaff to fend off incoming fire from opposing team turrets, a steady aim and on-track power-ups that provide an upgradeable edge for Shooter weaponry are needed to capture the checkered flag and championship glory.

Step in. Your next gen motorsports experience STARTS NOW.

WHAT IS THE DRIVER'S JOB?

it's pretty obvious, drive a car to the finish line and avoid getting shot.

WHAT S THE SHOOTERS JOB?

Jump into turrets and blow up the competition trying to help your driver to win the race.

Sounds easy? Give it a try...

WHO CAME UP WITH THAT GAMEPLAY IDEA?

C10 Racing Series is the spiritual successor to a game we made called Harms Way. Harms Way was born out of the gaming community as part of the Doritos Unlock Xbox Challenge. So we are putting our new game through 'Early Access' in order to get as much valuable feedback on the game as we can prior to going live with it. As we are feeling pretty good about having a solid & fun core gameplay, we are also realistic about the challenges of delivering set expectations for any multiplayer title.

EXPERIENCE A GORGEOUS SETTING

The team at Bongfish is very proud of their proprietary game-engine allowing to draw detailed huge outdoor terrains.
See some examples of Calibre 10 Racing Series first race track below.

HOW DO WE WANT TO WORK WITH THE COMMUNITY?

Initially we want to work with players on finding the right balance for the vehicles, turrets & weapons before moving on to more content and the progression system.
Please use the forum and game group to get in touch with our dev-team.

Calibre 10 Racing Series ALPHA 1 (Initial release)

  • Class 1 Race Track 'Central China'
  • Class 1 Racing Vehicle 'KLOSS'
  • Class 1 Stationary Turret (Sniper, Gatling & Missiles)
We only want players testing one track and car in order to get specific feedback. Once we feel confident we'll move forward with ALPHA 2 (estimated a couple of weeks later).

Calibre 10 Racing Series Racing ALPHA 2 (First Major Update)

  • adding Class 2 Race Track 'Central China'
  • adding Class 2 Racing Vehicle 'KLOSS'
  • introducing Class 1 &2 Offroad Buggy 'AX'
  • introducing Class 2 Rail Turrets (Sniper, Gatling & Missiles)
  • introducing first progression system to reach Class2
With ALPHA2 we want to introduce Class 2 vehicles and weapons and highlight the power based progression system.
In addition Rail Turrets will be introduced (not part of the original Harms Way). Also the Offroad Buggy AX will be unlocked.

Calibre 10 Racing Series ALPHA 3 (2nd Major Update)

  • adding Class 3 Race Track 'Central China'
  • adding Class 3 vehicles upgrades.
  • introducing the heavy Racing Truck. (we've teamed up with awesome designers for this vehicle!)
  • introducing Class 3 Hover Turrets (Sniper, Gatling & Missiles)
  • adding Class 3 Weapon Upgrades.
  • Refined progression system.
Alpha 3 finally should feature a robust progression system. Vehicle & weapon classes should be tuned for a balanced gameplay and players should definitely see the difference in the power of using weapons & vehicles from different classes.
NOTE: EARLY ACCESS customers will get all the launch content - no matter what the final price point or monetization model will turn out to be.

Final Release Content

  • Calibre Class Vehicles 1-10 - The full array of Calibre Class vehicles 1-10 will be unlockable in the final release with increased horsepower, handling and counter measures.
  • Calibre Class Turrets 1-10 - Shooters will be able to man Calibre Class Turrets 1-10 in the final release with even more devastating firepower and ammo then the Alpha Release.
  • Calibre Class Tracks 1-10 - The competition will heat up as Teams hit the starting grid on the full complement tracks from around the world on the C10 Racing Circuit.
  • Class Progression System - Compete to become the best of the best and achieve the elusive yet elite Calibre 10 status, where the highest vehicles, weapons, tracks, perks and competition unfolds.
  • Communication is Key - Only the teams with the highest of skill and communication will rise through the ranks on the C10 circuit.

A NOTE ON VEHICLE & WEAPON DESIGN

The team at Bongfish is very passionate about high-end concept car design. We are working wth top concept car designers from around the world to create racing vehicles that no one has ever seen before. Each of the vehicles in the game will be unique designs to any racing game previously made. The team plans to make the game and community a hub for concept car design (our vision is that ultimately C10 Racing Series joins STEAM WORKSHOP for vehicles & weapons).

FEATURED ARTIST: SHANE BAXLEY

Shane's legendary Alienware MK2 concept car immediately turned us into fans of his works. You can imagine our excitement when Shane agreed on designing the very first vehicle and set of turrets.
Now we are proud debuting the first ALPHA release with the KLOSS racing vehicle.

Let me just say that I love this game. The mixture of shooting and driving is really something cool, as I'm a racing fan, and i have friends that want to game but don't race.

I do have one issue with it, in that there is absolutely no playerbase at the moment. We tested this to see if we could get ourselves up in the leaderboard and no points have shifted for any of the other teams in months.

I haven't seen any updates for this game in a long time either. However, if the developers are still working on this and they are going to keep updating it and promoting it, it will be a great game. The idea is there, and I wouldn't stop anyone from purchasing it, but it is much better if you have a partner to be on your team.

So far from what i have played the game is great, good looking and a great idea, but for me personally the car handling is far from good, there is a lot of work to do in terms of the cars handling, it feels twitching and some delay when making a turns and the drifting feeling really weird, and that's the only thing that worries me at the moment and hopefully further updates up til launch it will be good, though keep in mind this is alpha so this is to be expected, and when they do optimize the handling then this is a really fun game with fun ideas.

A really good game, even if it's only an alpha release, this game is really amazing. I'm not a big fan of racing game, but this one is the exception. Driving or shooting ? Why not both ?

Im not a racing fan at all however I saw this game and decided to give it a go. What caught my eye is the guns, ability to blow up your oponent team is a major plus and the reason why I bought the game. I have quite a few "Alpha / Beta" Steam games so I am accustomed to unfinished games and would recomend this to anyone who liked racing or blowing s*** up.

If you can get the people then the game is great however it seems there is not much of a following at the moment seeing there is never anyone playing it seems. Getting a group going is a long wait but when you do get some people in to join it is alot of fun.

Calibre 10 has all of the ingredients for a very, very entertaining game. It's like Trackmania with turrets, where a gunner and driver are paired together. Four drivers speed down the track included with the Alpha as they race to grab power-ups and avoid gunfire from turrets. The teammates can swap between any available turret locations on the map. Is a turret occupied by an opponent? Take it out and steal it from the enemy. Drivers can grab missile turret upgrades or debuff enemy turrets, as well as grab Nitro and Shield pickups. It's a fairly simplistic formula that keeps things balanced and straightforward. Unfortunately, I could only play against the AI so it's tough to tell how the whole game will pan out. If memory serves me correctly, the Live Arcade had a smiliar entry from the same team. From what I can tell, however, Alpha 1 has a bit of interesting content, a teaser, if you will. If they can iron out some of the loose car handling and reign in turret damage, this could be a fantastic title.

This game has incredible potential, bar the typical issues one would encounter in an Alpha state game I can't wait to see the final release in all it's glory. Racer + Shooter FTW! O Btw if you get the one game achievement it counts as a perfectly completed game on your steam profile. :D

Pretty cool game. If you liked mario kart, Blur, or Skydrift, you'll like this. The turning controls are a little iffy at the moment, but I'm sure they'll be fixed as the game progresses.

(ALPHA3) This game has potential, but not worth the 19.99$ price tag.....yet Gameplay is pretty jittery for me (only for a few seconds at start of race) and a few others i asked ingame. car design is pretty good and i am sure will get even better especially if they partner up with steam workshop like they plan to. This game supports controller and keyboard use at the same time, which i happen to like because i can aim better using a mouse in a turret and drive better using a controller. The game eniviroment looks pretty good and even has hazards such as rocks that can damage you. I would like to see weather effects though. One thing that sucks though is car respawn, when a car dies it will respawn in the middle of the track, which wouldnt be bad if it had a no clipping phase to it, but instead you can run right into them and wreck pretty bad.( i know you might say dodge, but i was right on his a$$ the whole game then he died and respawned in a second giving me no time to dodge.) As for sound effects the game is PAR if not sub-par with music and vehicles. still dont have much to say about sound quality. This game also allows single player racing against AI controlled cars, or alone where player can pick turret or car.

First, this might be designed for gamepads, so you can't change controls yet. Disappointed on that front.

You know that rush you get in some games, where you see the things wizzing by your head and you just RUN? This is going to be a solid block of that feeling. C10 is a co-op game about racing in the future, and shooting people who are racing in the future. It's also televised like everything violent in the future.

As this is an alpha, you can expect a slimmed-down content level, but the developers claim this is intentional so they can test specific areas. I'm not sure if that's true or if it's so they can work on assets that don't entirely exist but if you're patient more stuff will be available later.

You're probably going to be alone online for a week or so, but the game gives you some AI companions who seem to all be T-800 Terminators. They can be pretty scatterbrained at tight turns, getting stuck on obstacles and resetting, but the turret AIs act like turret AIs should (They're suprisingly good shots with the gatling gun, but haven't figured out how to swap weapons yet).

Might be a gem, might be a shiny rock, but both look good in a necklace.

Calibre 10 Racing Series. Even though it is still in Beta, it is well done and polished like a full game. Concept is teams of two, one driver one gunner. Gunners fight over control of turrets to try to shoot down the other racers. Drivers goal is to cross the finish first. Can't wait to see more tracks and such.

Eh. Nah.

The graphics are pretty sweet and the idea is conceptually awesome, and that's about everything good I have to say about the game. There's no real teamwork involved for a game that is 100% co-op (teams of 2v2v2v2) and it just feels really repetitive. I think the fact that there's noone to play with makes it like that, mincing up bots just gets old fast when there isn't a true "career" mode. There's just a couple unlocks whicht are fun to get and try, but then you're looking for something else and there is just nothing else there. I pretty much got bored before I even made it to a point in the game where the gunner gets to really play (re: mobile turrets, I'm pretty sure they're a thing, not sure if the feature has even been introduced yet). It's in Alpha so I haven't given up on it yet, as I said I love the concept, but right now I won't be playing it anytime soon.
