Super simple game to get started but give it some time and you will sitting there with no clue how to finish the puzzle.
Great to have open in the background when at school, uni or work and you just need to clear your mind for 5 min before you get back to it.

Lets be honest here, 99% of people who got this want the letter achievements.

Besides that, it's a fun and relaxing puzzle game with a nice cheap price.

10/10 (Achievements are still the best part)

I only bought it for the achievement showcase, like everyone always talks about, and for three dollars, sure it's a good deal.

I'm not recommending this, however, because it just goes on for way too long. WAY too long. "You unlocked a skin." ...Wow thanks... just... something for me to do to not get so bored with the same stuff I've been doing for the past several levels... The main reason I rate this down is because there's 26 levels or "areas" (one for each letter of the alphabet) and in each of those, there's about 30--THIRTY--sublevels. After level "C" you already are introduced to all the game's mechanics and all the new challenging obstacles. After that it's over 350 levels of just the same stuff. I remember sitting here for nearly 8 hours playing just to get to "S". It's so monotonous and boring you'll want to kill yourself like me. I understand it's supposed to be "peaceful" or "serene" but after the first 5 letters, I just got bored and looked up a walkthrough to speedrun the game. It almost got even more annoying at that point just because you had to wait for the end of the letter level and just... ugh.

RATING REASON:
Come on, thirty levels in each letter? I mean, that's perfectly fine. Nice amount of content, I suppose. But you HAVE to introduce new mechanics. You just HAVE to. You are introduced to the last game mechanic in the third letter level. You just can't repeat the same mechanics for 690 levels. (Yes I did the math. 30 x 23). Don't waste your time unless you honestly have the patience.

Seven hundred and eighty levels of the same damn thing... Good god...

Easily worth the money alone for the sheer amount of puzzles included. My intention to purchase and play the title, however; achievements. Ironically, the game's achievements for completing set after set are great for steam profiles (provided you've got an achievement showcase on your profile).

If you're looking for some sweet icons, buy it.

A simple, yet stylish way to enhance your profile

TL;DR:
An exceptional puzzle game that has the right difficulty curve, addictive gameplay and a amazing minimalist design. To put the icing on the cake it has easy achievements which can be used to spell what you'd like using the achievement showcase. You also get 3/5 card drops for playing.

Review:
LYNE has hours of relaxing content with 650 puzzles to solve and the additon of 50 daily puzzles. Not to mention that it also has a soothing, dynamic sound track which works well with the simplistic visuals. The objective of LYNE is simple; Try to connect A to B without intersecting the other lines and fulfilling the requirements to complete the level. After completing all the levels in a set, you will unlock an achievement plus another set. After a while you will also unlock different colour palettes as an added bonus for completing sets. The puzzles start to get harder as you continue through the game as the puzzles are more complex and new mechanics are introduced, however the game does get repetitve at times, despite the difficulty curve.

To sum it up, this is a great game to kill some time or to play whilst watching something. It's pretty cheap too, and you can find a 50% off coupon somewhere, but is well worth the full price in my opinion.

Nice puzzle game with a moderate level of difficulty. The letter achievements are worth the time spent completing the game (there are lots of guides on level completion) as they open up so many new customization possibilities on your profile's achievements showcase. Would recommend to people who are only intrested in the achievements, but I would also recommend it to the casual puzzle gamer, as this game takes the simple concept of uniting shapes and manages to craft a challenge out of it.

So, why the thumbs-down? On a game with 95% review score?

Well, as nice as this game may be, there are a few problems that make me not recommend it to others.

1. Lack of variety
Sure, it has 500 levels. But after 50 or so, you've seen everything. Sure, there may be nodes with even more connections, but it's more of the same, really. The level set names are also quite un-inspired, and the achievements maybe even more so. Also, the unlockable themes are not that much of a novelty either.

2. Not learnable
The gameplay itself has a problem too though. It's not learnable. There's not really a way to "become good" at this game. Solving levels is merely a case of trying many combinations until you hit the right one. There's a lot of trial and error. Trial and error is usually bad, and I don't see why it's good here.

3. Lack of sense of fulfillment
The third problem is the level solutions themselves. They're too abstract, and don't resemble anything, and after a while, all levels look the same at first glance. Solving a level just doesn't give me that feeling of accomplishment that other puzzles can. When you solve a nonogram, at least you end up with a nice pixel art picture. Here it's just connected shapes - for all levels. It's all a bit too similar.

Also, someone could probably write an algorithm to solve these puzzles. :)

The game sure has its positives though. I like the minimalist look-and-feel, and I think the font choice and color usage are brilliant. Also it's easy to pick-up and play; it hardly requires a tutorial. It's also a nice original idea to toy around with. It's not a bad game. Certainly not! It's just, well, ...not much more than meets the eye?

And it's not overpriced. For 3 dollars it's hard to be disappointed. So sure, pick it up if you think you like it. Just don't expect miracles :)

This is an abstract puzzle game. The objective is to make a line that crosses all shapes. You get a total of 650 starter puzzles and then daily puzzles (these vary in difficulty depending on the day). There's not a whole lot to say about this game other than it is very comparable to the phone game "Flow", but with way more advanced mechanics than Flow.

But the thing is, such a simple puzzle game is just a cover up for an insane cryptography puzzle the developer put in the game as a bonus. Each time you beat a set you get 1-5 code piece to the puzzle. There are 999 pieces, which means you have to solve 200 - 999 sets. The puzzle has been decrypted, however. (solution on the community discussions)

My only complaint I had was the palette swaps you unlock as you get points. Most of them just ain't good because the colors blend with each other too much. I have not unlocked the last palatte swap but The only ones that are good are the Deep Space and Electro.

The achievements are cool too. (for decorative purposes.. not really challenging at all tho)
