"The eight player co-op is the heart of the game and really where it shines. Throughout the whole experience it never loses focus on teamwork."

The Red Solstice on Gamescom, status update

It's been a bit quiet on our side for some time, so I wanted to post a status update letting everyone know what's going on.

After slowing down a bit for a week to get some rest and recover, this week part of the team went to Cologne Germany, where we will be showing The Red Solstice as a part of Indie Megabooth on Gamescom. If you are nearby, come see us.

Once we're all back, we're going back to work, as we hope to celebrate the beginning of autumn with new updates featuring new game mods, improvements on certain ai follower options and much more.

Thank you for being an awesome community!

The Red Solstice update and +25% exp week

New update is live.
As a way of saying sorry for not delivering bonus XP last weekend as announced, we are extending the bonus XP period until next Monday.

As a sidenote, we have received a number of reports abbout certain players using cheats in multiplayer games. We would like to use this opportunity to warn players that according to Steam Subscriber Agreement you have accepted before buying this game, by using any kind of third party tool or technique in order to edit game parameters form outside the game itself (in other words, cheating), you forfit your right to play. By cheating you are hurting other player's experience, and you are hurting us. Please be fair and don't do it. With this update we have begun implementing mechanisms to better detect cheats, and we will without any further notice start permanently banning known cheaters.

Good, but theres at any given point, less than 8 players online TOTAL.

A single game is for 8.

Early Access Review
This game has been a huge surprise for me.
I am a huge fan of cooperative games, i bought this game during early access because it looked promising.
I forgot about it until was fully released and this has been a blast.
-It has a strong Space meuhrins feel.
-many classes that all contribute to victory in their own way, and they are fairly balanced.
-The game seemed simple at first but it is actually incredibly deep, one of the deepest coop game i know of.
-The Ai is unforgiving and you will get a good challenge even on normal difficulty.
-It has many skill to choose from for each class and kind of a dota way of leveling up.
-You get 15 level max while you are playing and you have to attribute point carefully in each of your 4 skills with 5 points max in each, some are passive some are active, and hallow you to play exactly the way you want.
-The online is one of the best i know of, most people are friendly and most veteran will not mind giving you some advice.
In 50 hours of gameplay i have yet to find any troll.
The only downside i can see is that the game can seem overwhelming at first, the learning curve is steep and the RTS view will not be to everyone's liking, except that it is a masterpiece and i strongly recommend this game.

A very good on coop tactical rpg for 8 players.

There are worlds between alienswarm and RedSolstice. There 8 classes with different ingame skills, which usings decide of live or death. first impression looks a little bit complex or confused because youre not knowing whats going on. After some rounds youll get an idea and get full joy of beating hordes of aliens and big fat bosses, during youre do your mission.

+ a lot of diff. bosses
+ 8 diff. Classes start with 3 and with level up youll get new ones)
+ randomly generated missions with story line
+ possibilty to use different weapons on different classes
+ many game modes

It's an awesome game with cool and friendly community.

Love It! (9/10)
