About This Game

Cogs is a puzzle game where players build machines from sliding tiles. Players can choose from 50 levels and 3 gameplay modes. New puzzles are unlocked by building contraptions quickly and efficiently.

  • Inventor Mode: Starting with simple puzzles, players are introduced to the widgets that are used to build machines — gears, pipes, balloons, chimes, hammers, wheels, props, and more.
  • Time Challenge Mode: If you finish a puzzle in Inventor Mode, it will be unlocked here. This time, it will take fewer moves to reach a solution, but you only have 30 seconds to find it.
  • Move Challenge Mode: Take your time and plan ahead. Every click counts when you only get ten moves to find a solution.

Interesting puzzle game with cogs and leading steam through pipes to make small machines work. It's well worth it if you are into puzzling.

Fun puzzle game! Might have been nice to have a few more types of elements, or have the finished puzzle do more things, but I'm just nitpicking here.

Another casual game I purchased as part of a Humble Bundle. It is better than other similar games, because it requires you to use your brain. Not a bad game, but one of those that gets boring and repetitive quite fast and leaves you with the unpleasant feeling that you wasted your time.

This a great puzzle game to relax with. There's a bit of zen in this game with all of the moving and rotating steampunk objects. Great after a long day.

Despite the steam time counter, I've actually played this game for a few hours. I don't usually like puzzle games, but I got this one though a humble bundle deal. Its well done and interesting. So, this is one of the few puzzle games of this sort that I will actually recommend. Realistically, and like so many titles on steam, this belongs on my mobile phone, not my PC.

A very entertaining game, that is until you get stuck. I think the time should be a bit higher though, giving the player a bit more time to complete the puzzle.

Intuitive controls for a puzzle game, Cogs is all about mechanics. Pretty engaging and entertaining, the different success quantifiers (number of moves, time to complete) make you want to replay levels to get a better score. Overall a fun game!

ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. An hour into the game I still found the puzzles too easy and quite repetative.

Steam says I played Cogs for 0.1 hours.. so that's what, about 6 or 7 minutes? Yeah, I wish I could get those minutes back.

Cogs is just a slidey-rotatey type puzzle game, feels like a mobile title, looks like a mobile title, and is boring.. just like a mobile title.

Okay for puzzle-loving steampunk fetishists so if you're in that category consider it a recommendation. I found it a chore though.
