Yogscast's Simon Lane is probably one of the most jolly of the Yogsbunch from what I've watched, but surprisingly they drop the ball on this one. It's Simon Lane himself, not his dwarven persona with the Celtic accent, and the All Star Theme isn't their original composition Diggy Diggy Hole, nor is it the Yogscast opening theme, which also happens to be the opening theme for the radio play version of "Half-Life: Full Life Consequences", but a knockoff of the former. In a game that's prided itself on kicking recreations of the original songs and superb VO, the surprising lack of dwarven joviality is a bit... eeeeh. I mean look at his appearance in Dwarves!? and Awesomenauts! That dwarven personality just oozes charm!

I'm going a bit Polygon though. Thinking about what should have been, not reviewing the project at hand. Simon's still as jovial as ever, the vehicles are well done, the cart is a wooden dog racer, the boat looks like Link's ship from LoZ: Wind Waker, and the plane has a pig motif and center to the design is a vectorised image of Honeydew, what's not to love?

Oh and you contribute to charity too. Who doesn't love that?

Danica Patrick 2.0

This time you can pay to add a character that doesn't fit with the theme of the game!

As a fan of both Sonic and the Yogscast, buying this DLC was an easy decision. This features only one person of the Yogscast, Simon Lane, aka Honeydew. He is full of excitement and his lively personality fits the game very well. His voice acting does not let you down, as you'll hear plenty about digging holes, bacon, and whatnot. You may notice from the pictures above, that yes indeed, his land vehicle is a wooden corgi, his flying vehicle a rainbow tasseled pig and his water vehicle is what looks like the King of Red Lions (Boat from The Wind Waker) with a slight variation. Yes, the price tag of $5 may seem excessive, but the money goes to charity so it is totally worth it. I absolutely recommend this.

Simon is a fun character to play as, I like the design of his vehicles and his voicelines. I also don't mind that he's similar to Danica Patrick that he's just in the game because PROMOTION! This game is already kinda promoting other SEGA games and other games like TF2.

However this DLC has one downside, it's overpriced....

If this DLC EVER went on sale (trust me it never does) or was about £0.99 similar to Ryo that would be fine, however £2.99 is too much. I know it's for charity, but still £2.99 is still too much.

Good DLC, but overpriced.

$4.99 was too overpriced for 1 DLC racer, especially for the fact that all other Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed DLC is $2.99 or less..... But still, who doesn't enjoy playing as a great YouTuber? Speed is pretty decent, handling is meh, but acceleration is really good.

8.8/10
