“There are very few benchmarking apps for the Linux platform out there, and even fewer that can even come close to the quality and features of the Geekbench 3 app.”

When you want to compare your CPU against something else, this offers a ton statistics on how other processors stack against what you're using.

Sadly disappointed with buying this for £10.99.

I had (wrongly) assumed that for this money there would be a good selection of features, tools and tests.

There are several FREE utilities out there which offer much greater value for money!

If the developer decides to increase Geekbench 3's capabilities then I will rewrite my review.

Do not bother. Runs a series of synthetic tests only, was able to detect my cpu and chipset (Z87) but for memory it just showed: 32.0 GB -1MHz which is worse than what the task manager on Windows does. No value for money.

Reasonably priced benchmark software, with compatability across different OS's all at the same price. Tried it on Windows 7, Windows 8 & 8.1, Ubuntu and Lubuntu; all worked.

While it's new to Steam, Geekbench has been the gold standard in processor and memory benchmarks for years.

In addition to measuring your own machine's performance, you can upload your results to their database and see how your machine compares to other similar models. Also handy if you are considering an upgrade.
