About This Game

Manipulate your wrists, elbows and shoulders to get the arrow to the bow, draw it, aim and fire!

Probably Archery gives the player more control over the minutia of their joint movements with tons of crazy scenarios to conquer, multiplayer battles to fight and brutal target challenges to dominate.

With controls inspired by games like QWOP and Surgeon Simulator 2013, you must overcome a series of ridiculous challenges like shooting a hangman's rope, exterminating flying eggs in a china shop and stopping an apple-headed warrior in space.

Once you've mastered the way of the bow, test your skills in the online multiplayer modes. Team Deathmatch allows you to test your speed and skill against other players while the Horde mode lets you stand alongside your friends against waves of enemies.

When it's time to lay down your bow, why not pick up a cricket bat and revolver? Shoot some zombies, bash other players and kick some goals in Zoccer - Zombie Soccer. An extra mode that is practically an additional game, Zoccer delivers a multiplayer first person sports shooter experience you've never seen before.

Key Features:

  • Crazy and intense single player scenarios
  • Team Deathmatch multiplayer
  • Co-op wave-based Horde mode
  • Character customisation
  • Gamepad support
  • Razer Hydra support (currently Windows only)
  • Native Oculus Rift support
  • ... and... Multiplayer Zombie Soccer

This game's control is quite hard to play at first. But once you get used to it, tooking me about 1 hour, then it's very fun to play.

At time of writing, I am going to not recomend this game.

Probably Archery is, a good idea with a flawed exacution. It is trying to be in the same vein as Surgon Simulator, or QWOP, or Ampu-tea, where the idea is simplistic and the controls want to make you break your keyboard over your knee.

However in exacution, the design is horriable, complicated and far to frustraiting to be enjoyable. You control three diffrent aspects of the arm, shoulder, elbow then wrist for aiming. You have to notch your arrow and draw back and let it fly. There are no crosshairs, and is done by pure blind luck.

This is fine for this kinda game, you shouldn't need crosshairs, however, is I re-string my arrow, I should be aiming at the same place, not with this game, the type of strange controls you need to adjust your arms and aim is so frustraiting it isn't even fun. Also some of the game modes expect you to work absurdly quick and be precise, which is asking quite alot of the player with these kind of sluggish controls.

There are plenty of diffrent game modes to keep anyone intrested, and none of them are serious, its silly and kinda unique, I really do applaud the developers creativity for this game, and I honestly want to like it.

However there is hope! The developers have been doing minor updates, giving even more game modes and are tweaking the controls to make it slightly smoother, so, maybe one day they will overhaul it. When they do I will overhaul this review to praise it right up there with Surgon Simulator.

If the game is on sale and you really want to pratice archery in strange settings I would say buy it if its at a decent price. There are alot of neat ideas here on display, and it has a load of potential to be fun instead of frustraiting.

Probably a huge waste of your time. Controls are like Surgeon Simulator, but you can only manipulate one joint at a time.

Probably Archery could probably try a little harder in the controls department. Some of the menus such as after a match such as Berserker cant be navigated with the controller. Using a mouse is no big deal since their just menus not gameplay parts. Playing the game is very complicated, to fire an arrow you need to adjust your two arms, each arm has three joints the, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Once you get them aligned you can fire, the big down side is once you draw a new arrow for some reason the positions switch all over so if you miss its difficult to realign your target again. This game seems like it could be interesting if you master the controls to get a high score, but players who dont care about a high score might not be interested in this.

This game- can make you beat the cr*p out of your computer. it's an awkward FPS. And if you think the game is easy, well, it isn't. You have to manipulate you wrists, shoulders and elbows (and shoot, obviously). Although the game becomes easier once the commands are mastered and lacks replay value, Probably Archery is effective in achieving its goal: applying a cumbersome control scheme to a skill-based shooter. PA features a lot variety of gamemodes (including shooting a horde of muscular apple-headed men running towards you, training mode, some multiplayer gamemodes, etc). Once you master the controls a bit, you can find the game quite funny.

7/10

Pro Tips:

Step one. Put the bow in the center of the screen where the right hand resets.

Step two. Nock the arrow. Make sure to Nock the arrow at the Arrow Rest (in this case it’s your left hand) and not on the string itself. In the world of Probably Archery knowing the parts of a bow in advance is a crutch. Archery? What’s that? This is Probably Archery. Where quirkiness is all that matters and gameplay is worthless!

Step three. Only move your left hand. Tada! You've mastered the game and it only took you about two minutes.

Anyway, at this point I’d like to mention that you’ll just get achievements for sitting around in a game mode. I have not seen a single person online and yet somehow I’ve already killed 10. This game is unfinished and an all-around lazy effort.
Final score: Not Good out of Good.

Super Future Note. QWOP Controls do not automatically make a game cool or fun. It just means it has QWOP controls. You should go play QWOP instead of Probably Archery. QWOP’s free. I’m just saying…

Chances are unless you have a lot of patience for what feels like an unfinished game at times or you just really, really (really really really) like archery, then you may want to play this game; although you will most likely only be playing the single player side of the game as the multiplayer element is both broken and empty.

Awful controls don't make a game; this is not a mechanic, it's a joke. Buy it if you're an idiot hipster who thinks irony is fun.

This game is absolutely zany. I'd recommend this for people who like to tinker or concentrate *REALLY* hard on playing a game well.

It's an archery simulation from a FPS view, where you have individual control of each of the shooter's arm joints. You can only control either left or right wrist/elbow/shoulder at a time, not simultaneously.

At first, it is confusing as hell. Then shortly after, it becomes a little sensible but still extremely difficult to control. With time you can learn to shoot rushing bad guys, moving targets, or even cut a rope from a person who is about to be hanged, Robin Hood style.

Check out a few videos, like this, before you purchase.

I was challenged to play this game for at least 15 minutes and then write a review. Well, after 15 minutes I still couldn’t effectively draw an arrow, knock it and successfully shoot it anywhere near the target. The controls are like trying to sew a button onto a silk shirt with square hands. This game has your hands all over the keyboard. So I moved onto another mode after failing at target practice. I found 10 modes, such as; the berserker, Noose, Zombie Soccer, and more. Since I never could master nocking an arrow and aiming, I certainly couldn’t play any of these panic style modes. I wanted to write a witty review for this game, but I just want to be done and far away from it. 3/10, would SteamTroll

Hilarious! A great game unless you think you're getting a realistic archery simulator.

loved it for a few minutes. a part of me is wanting to chuck it aside due to its repetitive nature, but the perfectionist in me drives me to keep on playing and perfecting (in other words: hitting just about any random target!). plus the price i got it at was unbeatably cheap.

but, for the full price i really would not recommend it, not even for a 50% off sales price. just get it when it's reeeaaally cheap and have a laugh for some 10 minutes and either get obsessed or rage-quit.
