Reviews

“I’m really impressed with Driftmoon. Not just because it’s such an impressive indie project, but because it was a memorable RPG in its own right. A fun, light-hearted game, with a more serious story running beneath it. And once it’s over, there’s still more to do.”

“It's been a long time since I enjoyed a game as much as this one. Think Quest for Glory and Frayed Knights mixed and blended together and you'll have some idea of what to expect.”

This is a small game but so much fun! The graphics are good and there is plenty of adventure; hacking and slashing, puzzles and choices to keep your attention.

I'm with the negative reviews complaining that the devs' religious views are pushed overtly and constantly enough to genuinely impact the play experience. That said, the game is genuinely enjoyable in parts, with light-hearted and interesting characters, humour and references.

It's a yes overall, but frustratingly close to being an excellent game, rather than a tolerable but tainted one. Whether you buy this should depend on your level of willingness to be proselytized at - if you aren't too bothered, you'll enjoy this.

Lovely little top down RPG. Simple enough but it's got a warm heart, good sense of humour. Can't ask much more than that for a small, cheap action RPG.

I played it few years ago, when it wasn't on steam yet. I don't remember everything but what I do remember is that it was a wonderful experience for me. The developers created a fantastic world and they've put a lot of love into it, I'm sure of that.

It's an interesting RPG with few twists here and there. In short:

The combat system is the one and only weakness of the game. If you really love fighting and you are not interested in other game mechanics then this is not a game for you.

The item progression is really good and there is a lot of interesting items to be found.

There is a good number of interesting skills.

The characters are fresh and funny and amazing!

A lot of puzzles and interaction with items in the world.

It's just a wonderful little RPG, it's different from other games. It will take you around 20 hours to finish. I would play it on easy difficulty so you are not bothered with the combat. It's not hard by any means, but why bother.

Go play it!
