About the Game

The first hi-res 2D fighter from the creators of the Guilty Gear series! BlazBlue is a traditional 2D fighter where two characters participate in a duel. The story of the game involves dissent and destruction among a powerful council, known unofficially as "the Library," which controls a great power that once saved humanity, but which now wields its power in protective, some say repressive, ways.

A round is called a "rebel" and one match can consist of one to five "rebels". To win a round, one player must either incapacitate the other by inflicting damage through various attacks to reduce their opponent's health to zero or by having more remaining health than their opponent after the clock runs out. Every character has a weak, medium and strong attack. Also every ones has a "unique" technique, called a Drive attack, which is different for each character.

Key Features
  • 12 unique batants to choose from! - Choose a character that represents your own fighting style like the lightning-fast Taokaka or the wickedly powerful Tager.
  • Drive your way to victory! - Use the unique Drive Attacks specific to each character to decimate your opponent. Depending on the character control the elements like wind and ice or even absorb the life force from your opponents.
  • Experience the beauty of high-resolution hand-drawn sprites on 3D backgrounds all in glorious high-definition.
  • Various modes - Arcade, Versus, Score Attack, Training, Gallery and a pletely fleshed-out Story Mode that tells the tales of each character.
  • Bonus Contents - 2 CD's worth of OST included with a total of 42 music!

SHORT VERSION
Do you like great fighting games? If you answered yes, then go get it. It's a good buy.

LONG VERSION
BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is a 2D fighting game, and the first entry of the BlazBlue franchise followed by Continuum Shift and Chrono Phantasma.

Calamity Trigger features 12 fighters, each with their unique gameplay, strengths and weaknesses.
As a fighting game it's important to mention that the game can be played excellent on keyboard without any trouble. The combos are fairly easy, and you will always find new ways to chain them into better ones.
The controls are responsive and there's no delay at all. Graphics wise the game looks gorgeous: the 2D sprite models are looking good, and integrate well into the 3D background, while animations are smooth and beautiful as well.
Aside from the usual story mode, there Arcade mode for every character, mini-games and tons of unlockable artworks to keep you busy for a long time!

However like most games, Calamity Trigger has its' flaws too: first off the Developers removed the multiplayer, though it was part of the game for the Games For Windows Live release, and second the game tends to have 30 FPS limit sometimes due to a bug. To fix the 30FPS limit you have to restart your PC, aside from this issue, the game runs smooth with 60FPS cap.

Overall Blazblue: Calamity Trigger is an amazing fighting game. I can highly recommend this to anyone, whether you're new to fighting games or a veteran in the genre.
And as a Guilty Gear/Blazblue fan is a no-brainer to buy, since it increases the chance of seeing more recent games from the developers on Steam!

PRO
- Graphics are beautiful. The 2D sprite models seemlessly "integrate" into the 3D background.
- Animations looking smooth and nice.
- Soundtrack is amazing.
- The game features 2 different language voice acting: Japanese and English. Both are solid.
- Controls are responsive. The game plays smooth. Combos are easy to pull off. Can be played with keyboard without any difficulties.

CONS
- Lack of multiplayer.
- Occational 30 FPS cap bug. To fix the FPS limit you have to restart your PC.
- Steam cloud doesn't work, though it's shown on store page.

Call of Fighting: Ultimate Waifu battle is the sequel to the hit 2007 dreamcast exclusive "Gunlord", and it exceeds it's predecessor in every way. More waifus, more jiggle physics, and all in crisp 1080p for a bargain price of only 400$ for the limited edition used (it comes with body pillow though). My biggest problem with this game is that sometimes I am playing and I see a character that isn't waifu material, as if they are a male or something (not bang though, he makes my heart go "doki doki" everytime), and I think all the characters should be super cute girls with huge ♥♥♥♥. 36 out of 7, pretty good.

Honestly though this game is amazing, sucks that there is no online, but it's still an incredible game and hopefully more are ported to steam.

This was the most enjoyable game I've played in a long time. Even if you ever owned the GFWL version like me, there's no harm in purchasing it once more. You even get the amazing soundtrack. All that for a decent price of €8.99 or your region's equivilant.

The story is well written and it always kept me intrigued. Even without netplay you still can enjoy the amazing story.

Let's hope for more BlazBlue in the future..

Awesome game, rich story and catchy OST... but no replayability due to lack of multiplayer.

People tell me it's the worst BB game, it is published by some shady company, proceed to not give a damn and buy it anyway for the sole purpose of voting with dollar and getting Arc's attention. I want to believe that some day we'll see some actual good PC ports of their games. I want to believe.

Mind you this is an offline-only version. It appears that NETWORK mode was lost during the migration from GFWL to Steamworks. As for the rest this version is identical to GFWL one.

P.S.: There is a bug that was reported to be present since the initial release that locks framerate to 30fps after a certain PC uptime. You'll have to restart your PC to unlock a higher framerate.
