An official word plus exciting news...

Announcement made by Zane Saxton

"Comrade’s,

We would like to apologise for the recent time-bomb related bug that prevented you from playing Spintires, it was totally unacceptable and we appreciate the frustration it must have caused you.

A member of our community named ‘Localhost’ along with our Moderators had kindly provided you with a temporary fix that you could use whilst we continued to produce the official fix.

Luckily we have now identified and fixed the bug which was not sabotage like some of the media suspected. The bug was identified by Pavel when running an older test build side-by-side with a newer build - it turns out it was some code that Pavel had invented to try and deal with piracy and DRM issues.

Pavel explains here: “bug was related to self-checks that which I tried to invent myself to prevent the game from being pirated and modded”.

After the recent media speculations, it’s entirely up-to-you if you will believe such a story or not. However, with that said, we accept responsibility for not communicating with our community as much as we should have and perhaps if we had done so, the guesswork by the media wouldn't have been steered so negatively.

It was interesting to read the conspiracy theories about sabotage from the media though, especially when an unnamed media outlet clearly announced they haven’t even contacted Oovee at all about the subject. It does highlight the fact you should only consider official statements directly from the Oovee forum or website as true.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank our moderators and members who supported us during these difficult times, your actions do not go unnoticed.

Now it’s time to move onto something more positive…

Behind the dense forests, swampy lakes (or big black twisters) we have been working hard to secure a deal with a partner, and it is with great pleasure we can now announce that Spintires will be coming to both Xbox One and PS4 expected to arrive early 2017.

If you are not a fan of consoles, do not fear - it is also good news for our PC fans since it now means we will be expanding the development team for that platform as well! It may have taken us some time to secure and announce such a deal but work has already commenced and in the next few months you will hear more details about the ports and additional updates for the PC platform too.

Many thanks for your continued support, love and inspiration.

Zane Saxton, and everyone from Oovee."

BUY IT ON SALE. Overall it's a fun game, but once you start you'll quickly realize how frustraiting it can be. THe controls are wonkey, the camera angles make you want to punch kittens, and the lack of promised updates make this game out to be more frustration than fun.

Yes there are mods, overpowered vehicles with sub par modeling sound and textures that make the game tolerable for another few hours once you've peaked it's content.

Whenever you think of difficult and challenging video games the words slow-paced rarely come into play with it if it's not a turn-based genre, huh ? Well SpinTires puts a new "spin" on that assumption. Starting quite literally from the ground up with it's amazing terrain deformation engine that'll kick up mud,dig gouges and tear new tracks into wherever your big rig this game delivers an impressive experience. As you switch between trucks the size of jeeps to ones bigger than anything legal on an american road you'll find this game to be a tough track to handle as you scout out the land on each map, unlock garages to plan routes and finally fill up your rig with logs to make the long journies. Between the size of this game, difficult terrain and the real to life design of torque over speed in your vehicles this is a game that will not test your reflexes but will test your planning, and guts. Will you risk forging that river will a full load or play safe with a smaller haul ? Is your fuel going to last another round trip or will you end up having to bring another truck around for an emergency refuel ? All of these decisions and the unique difficulty imposed by each of the 7 maps will have you pushing the limits of your trucks and your driving. So throw on a good podcast, turn up your favorite long play album or just enjoy the sounds of that engine giving mother nature hell. Whatever your choice a steady hand, a good controller or wheel and some patience are all you need to enjoy this very unique and well made game !

Great Game!
Have the plains map completed and ive been plesantly surprised. A lot of the major critics example pcgamer gave this only 60/100 but its far better than that.
It takes a bit of getting used to..attaching trailers etc and of course sorting your driving route through the siberian wasteland. The scenery and atmosphere is very authentic especcially at dusk trying to negotiate through the deep mud at sunset or dusk on to your objective.
The handling of the trucks is life like and each truck has a different feel to it and the physics in the game have to be one of the best in a pcgame out there. The only real fault i have of the game is the camera, sometimes moving it around the truck just feels plain awkward and im hoping maybe a patch will be brought out one day to rectify this. I have only one map completed, but i took my time so there is plenty of hours in the game also there is a modding community to add more if you need be.

Fantastic and very unique game. At first I was a bit sceptical since all you have to do is drive from point a to b through some mud, water, forest... but it didn't take long and I was totally hooked. It is hard to me to explain why this game is so fascinating for me, even though I am not particulary interested in trucks or offroading. And with the mod support and a lot of great user generated maps, there is a lot to do.

Since some update I miss the possibility to find logs lying around in hidden places. Now there is a so called log kiosk, where you can spawn the logs that you want to load. That takes a little bit away from the challenge to have to maneuever and position your truck for every log, but other than this, I really love this game.

God damn, I love this game. Hard in the beginning, but after you know what you're suppose to do and plan your route/strategy - you're good to go and have tons of fun. Must have for truck lovers.

Whats not to like about spin tires? I first played this game as what i remember a demo. My memory tells me it was a beta/demo/look at how cool our mud and tires are kind of thing.

amazing game. insanely fun and really gets the imagination going. Plotting out your next turn 100 feet in advance, am i going too fast?, wondering what side of the trail you should be on, what gear to be in, I might be going too fast!, watching the mud churn and the tires deform, SLOW DOWN!!!!, locking in 4 and playing with the diff.... the whole time you are doing maybe 10mph tops...

its easy too get get mentally lost in this game and forget to do the laundry or dishes.

Here's some pros and cons:

Pros:
-An easy to use map editor
-Great graphics
-Terrain deformation (mud)
-Extremely well optimized
-Mods

Cons:
-If this game didn't have mods/maps, well, then it would be boring as ♥♥♥♥.
-Overpriced for what you get

I'd still recommend it though.

Well the title is definetly accurate. Ive spent more time being stuck than driving, but the game has still managed to be fun. This game requires thought. If you're careless you'll get stuck, but if you pay attention you'll be fine. The game itself is well optimized and has good graphics. It also has an amazing modding community. However the game does have its problems. The biggest is the camera which has a mind of it's own and a limited amount of camera views. Overall the game is still well worth the $30 and I will definetley recomend it.

PROS:

Best offroad simulator EVER! It has amazing physics, is very fun and I love it!

CONS:

When you tip your truck or whatever, it gets annoying since you keep tipping in the same dang area or get stuck in the same area.
