An official word plus exciting news...

Announcement made by Zane Saxton

"Comrade’s,

We would like to apologise for the recent time-bomb related bug that prevented you from playing Spintires, it was totally unacceptable and we appreciate the frustration it must have caused you.

A member of our community named ‘Localhost’ along with our Moderators had kindly provided you with a temporary fix that you could use whilst we continued to produce the official fix.

Luckily we have now identified and fixed the bug which was not sabotage like some of the media suspected. The bug was identified by Pavel when running an older test build side-by-side with a newer build - it turns out it was some code that Pavel had invented to try and deal with piracy and DRM issues.

Pavel explains here: “bug was related to self-checks that which I tried to invent myself to prevent the game from being pirated and modded”.

After the recent media speculations, it’s entirely up-to-you if you will believe such a story or not. However, with that said, we accept responsibility for not communicating with our community as much as we should have and perhaps if we had done so, the guesswork by the media wouldn't have been steered so negatively.

It was interesting to read the conspiracy theories about sabotage from the media though, especially when an unnamed media outlet clearly announced they haven’t even contacted Oovee at all about the subject. It does highlight the fact you should only consider official statements directly from the Oovee forum or website as true.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank our moderators and members who supported us during these difficult times, your actions do not go unnoticed.

Now it’s time to move onto something more positive…

Behind the dense forests, swampy lakes (or big black twisters) we have been working hard to secure a deal with a partner, and it is with great pleasure we can now announce that Spintires will be coming to both Xbox One and PS4 expected to arrive early 2017.

If you are not a fan of consoles, do not fear - it is also good news for our PC fans since it now means we will be expanding the development team for that platform as well! It may have taken us some time to secure and announce such a deal but work has already commenced and in the next few months you will hear more details about the ports and additional updates for the PC platform too.

Many thanks for your continued support, love and inspiration.

Zane Saxton, and everyone from Oovee."

This is the most interesting off roading game I have ever played. I have always enjoyed Rock climbing and offroading machines videos. Folmula 1 and Nascar racing do not appeal to me. And lot of games exist of that genre. I like to see raw power of machine to fight against nature. I like to see a big powerful truck, who not only manages himself to get out of mud but hauls tonnes of load. Don't get me wrong. Shining vehicles look nice, but a big machine with a powerful engine and muscular wide tires COVERED IN MUD is more manly. If you are like me. This is the game for you. The real secret of this game is mud physics. This is what sets it apart.
You can not only enjoy driving these vehicles but you can customize them. Oh my God, So many customization options.
And don't get me started on the mods. So many types of vehicles to play with. All exotic beautiful machines. If you are a car guy. You will be surprised to see that these kind of machine exist too.

This game has taken vehicle simulating to a whole new level.
Love this game.

Highly recomend this game if you like simiulator or work in this kind of enviroment . Quite accurate in how you go about your tasks . Relaxing chill game

Can be frustrating and controls and UI are a bit odd till you get use to them ( typical russian game ) But if you like this kind of thing in games or in real life you will love this .

Possibly the most frustrating gaming experience I have ever had in all my years of gaming. The game itself is a solid foundation for an amazing game. However the developers are terrible, seriously they suck. I know it is hard to code and create a game. It is not hard to update your players in some way. The last news we had was in april, not an update, just a worthless bit of news about a console release. I have doubts that this game will ever recieve another update. I feel sorry for those that supported this game on kickstarter, promises were made and not fulfilled. This is unacceptable from a developer. Just a simple word from the devs would go a long way with the community. Customer service is truly important in this day and age. I can only hope that oovee burns and nobody has to suffer their shenanigans again.

This game is junk. I can not get it to work and my computer supports window 7. Have asked for a refund and was told no refund could be given. This site is a complete fraud. None of the games work and you pay for them. Need to get your site up and working completely or dont offer the games at a fee.

Whats not to like about spin tires? I first played this game as what i remember a demo. My memory tells me it was a beta/demo/look at how cool our mud and tires are kind of thing.

amazing game. insanely fun and really gets the imagination going. Plotting out your next turn 100 feet in advance, am i going too fast?, wondering what side of the trail you should be on, what gear to be in, I might be going too fast!, watching the mud churn and the tires deform, SLOW DOWN!!!!, locking in 4 and playing with the diff.... the whole time you are doing maybe 10mph tops...

its easy too get get mentally lost in this game and forget to do the laundry or dishes.

Here's some pros and cons:

Pros:
-An easy to use map editor
-Great graphics
-Terrain deformation (mud)
-Extremely well optimized
-Mods

Cons:
-If this game didn't have mods/maps, well, then it would be boring as ♥♥♥♥.
-Overpriced for what you get

I'd still recommend it though.

Well the title is definetly accurate. Ive spent more time being stuck than driving, but the game has still managed to be fun. This game requires thought. If you're careless you'll get stuck, but if you pay attention you'll be fine. The game itself is well optimized and has good graphics. It also has an amazing modding community. However the game does have its problems. The biggest is the camera which has a mind of it's own and a limited amount of camera views. Overall the game is still well worth the $30 and I will definetley recomend it.

PROS:

Best offroad simulator EVER! It has amazing physics, is very fun and I love it!

CONS:

When you tip your truck or whatever, it gets annoying since you keep tipping in the same dang area or get stuck in the same area.

Great Game!
Have the plains map completed and ive been plesantly surprised. A lot of the major critics example pcgamer gave this only 60/100 but its far better than that.
It takes a bit of getting used to..attaching trailers etc and of course sorting your driving route through the siberian wasteland. The scenery and atmosphere is very authentic especcially at dusk trying to negotiate through the deep mud at sunset or dusk on to your objective.
The handling of the trucks is life like and each truck has a different feel to it and the physics in the game have to be one of the best in a pcgame out there. The only real fault i have of the game is the camera, sometimes moving it around the truck just feels plain awkward and im hoping maybe a patch will be brought out one day to rectify this. I have only one map completed, but i took my time so there is plenty of hours in the game also there is a modding community to add more if you need be.

This game was amzing when it was first released, devs did frequent updates and took feed back from the community. The game has some good content but not really enough to keep you interested for more than an hour or two.

The problem is with the devs, they have just droppped of the face of the planet, they have promissed better communication and new content over and over again and the community has not see anything for almost a year. This game still feels like an alpha.

Its very disheartening to see a game with so much potential and such a large fan base end up like this. On the bright side there is a large modding community for the game, but the core of the game dosnt change....explore a bit.....pick up logs....drag logs through trails to loging depot and repeat a few times until you beast the map.

This game is mediocre at best.
Definently not worth $30, more like $5.
