An official word plus exciting news...

Announcement made by Zane Saxton

"Comrade’s,

We would like to apologise for the recent time-bomb related bug that prevented you from playing Spintires, it was totally unacceptable and we appreciate the frustration it must have caused you.

A member of our community named ‘Localhost’ along with our Moderators had kindly provided you with a temporary fix that you could use whilst we continued to produce the official fix.

Luckily we have now identified and fixed the bug which was not sabotage like some of the media suspected. The bug was identified by Pavel when running an older test build side-by-side with a newer build - it turns out it was some code that Pavel had invented to try and deal with piracy and DRM issues.

Pavel explains here: “bug was related to self-checks that which I tried to invent myself to prevent the game from being pirated and modded”.

After the recent media speculations, it’s entirely up-to-you if you will believe such a story or not. However, with that said, we accept responsibility for not communicating with our community as much as we should have and perhaps if we had done so, the guesswork by the media wouldn't have been steered so negatively.

It was interesting to read the conspiracy theories about sabotage from the media though, especially when an unnamed media outlet clearly announced they haven’t even contacted Oovee at all about the subject. It does highlight the fact you should only consider official statements directly from the Oovee forum or website as true.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank our moderators and members who supported us during these difficult times, your actions do not go unnoticed.

Now it’s time to move onto something more positive…

Behind the dense forests, swampy lakes (or big black twisters) we have been working hard to secure a deal with a partner, and it is with great pleasure we can now announce that Spintires will be coming to both Xbox One and PS4 expected to arrive early 2017.

If you are not a fan of consoles, do not fear - it is also good news for our PC fans since it now means we will be expanding the development team for that platform as well! It may have taken us some time to secure and announce such a deal but work has already commenced and in the next few months you will hear more details about the ports and additional updates for the PC platform too.

Many thanks for your continued support, love and inspiration.

Zane Saxton, and everyone from Oovee."

Despite some recent political issuse witht he company,t he game is still pretty fun and ther eis mod support. It's a very unique type of realistic mudding simulator due to the defmormable terrain that other offroad games don't seem to provide. Many people have creted custom truck on the workshop too that you can download and try out, you can also download new maps for other websites (not off of steam though)

In terms of the "game" itself the objectives seem to focus on logging, drive to one point and get logs, and then bring the logs to the dropoff. The gameplay in the regard is not veryu interesting, its really just enough to give you a reason to go from A to B. The real gameplay is crawling through mud and hills, trying to not get stuck, and while things like the crane and truck customization are fun, ultimately the only fun thing to do is actually driving the trucks.

Finally, before you buy you should note the game is very slow paced and again itt is more about solving how to not get stuck or flipped on difficult terrain. ther eis not much point beyond being a "Treacherous terrain simulator". I would venture to guess most players would not find as much enjoyment from this game as I do, but I find the deforming terrain system very interesting.

This game is the best offrading game of all time! The log aspect of the game is not that big as most of the people just like to do the trailing maps! This game keeps getting better with every update! The way the game is setup is pretty realistic compared to offroading in real life! Now maybe you would get stuck in some of the mud in game irl, for this game deep mud adds more of a challenge for you! Mod community is awesome as there is a ton of pickup trucks and big trucks and other vehicles to chose from! Not only that but the maps are pretty awesome to and theres a bunch of those to! Plus those mods can be in multiplayer and you can offroad and have fun with your friends! Graphics are also amazing and you get great fps with this game to! Bottom line this game is AMAZING!

Well the title is definetly accurate. Ive spent more time being stuck than driving, but the game has still managed to be fun. This game requires thought. If you're careless you'll get stuck, but if you pay attention you'll be fine. The game itself is well optimized and has good graphics. It also has an amazing modding community. However the game does have its problems. The biggest is the camera which has a mind of it's own and a limited amount of camera views. Overall the game is still well worth the $30 and I will definetley recomend it.

Pros:
-An easy to use map editor
-Great graphics
-Terrain deformation (mud)
-Extremely well optimized

Cons:
-If this game didn't have mods/maps, well, then it would be boring as ♥♥♥♥.
-Overpriced for what you get

I'd still recommend it though.

Well it's mid July (2016) right now, and the game has been stagnating for a long ♥♥♥ time. It was a mistake to launch this game without wheel support, and a cab view, one of which they fixed, wheel support, but still no cab view.
The devs seem to be active, at least they are sending messages out, but still no real worthwhile game development. What exactly are they doing? The privce is still too high particularly since the game fails in so many areas, despite being great in others. It can't be ignored that the game as it stands, is not bad. The good parts are great! The mod community continues to pump out good content, but it's numourous bugs, stupid camera controls, lack of development and dwindling online multiplayer activity mean that right now... It's not really worth recommending. I still like it, i want it to succeed, but the devs don't seem to be working on it whatsoever. They are sending messages sure.. but nothing actually happens. Save your money, spend it on something else and come back IF they ever actually do some development on this. Or! if you can pick it up in a sale at say 80% off, then absolutely. Get it.

This is the best off road experience you can get in a game. Awesome graphics and physics. When you unlock an achievment it is really quite an accomplishment. Game is extremely hard but rewarding when reaching goals. Oh yeah, did I mention the Mods, many new trucks, jeeps, 6wd, even monster trucks to choose from. Simply beautiful. Highly recommend.

Whats not to like about spin tires? I first played this game as what i remember a demo. My memory tells me it was a beta/demo/look at how cool our mud and tires are kind of thing.

amazing game. insanely fun and really gets the imagination going. Plotting out your next turn 100 feet in advance, am i going too fast?, wondering what side of the trail you should be on, what gear to be in, I might be going too fast!, watching the mud churn and the tires deform, SLOW DOWN!!!!, locking in 4 and playing with the diff.... the whole time you are doing maybe 10mph tops...

its easy too get get mentally lost in this game and forget to do the laundry or dishes.

I really enjoy the fun you can have with friends and the teamwork you need to complete objectives. I also enjoy the amount of mods the community for this game has made, really adds a lot to the game.
