“The Future of 3D Has Arrived - New Text-to-3D Service Enables Everyone to Create Great 3D Content for Free”

May 6th, 2014

Create 3D content for fun, games, 3D printing, education or business by typing simple text descriptions.

BrainDistrict GmbH today released http://www.text-to-3d.com, an innovative new technology that allows anyone to create great looking 3D objects, scenes and environments easily and quickly by typing text commands, and in the future by speech.

Text-to-3D (TT3D) is a free cloud-based text rendering service, where users can easily login and begin creating scenes and objects at will.

How it Works:

Users simply type a sentence that describes the image they have in mind –
“a picture of Marilyn Monroe on the wall”, for example, or “a glass table on the floor”
– select the Render button and Text-to-3D will convert the text description into a 3D image in your scene.

Eventually users can create scenes like this http://www.text-to-3d.com/gallery

Users can then add to the scene using the objects and materials which are currently in the content library, they can also move the objects around, change the color of the objects, the sizes, materials and even the time period all by typing the descriptions.

Not only is Text-to-3D powerful and extremely intuitive, but its also free! In addition to some very cool technology, there is a growing community of users who contribute objects to the database, which makes the Text-to-3D experience richer each day.

Who is Text-to-3D for?

Text-to-3D is for everyone to experience and benefit from in various ways.
  • For anyone interested in creating 3D scenes that never imagined they could.
  • Gamers, architects and professional modelers who need to create a scene or environment in 3D, where time saving is essential.
  • For fun to share via social media networks, or communities to create different projects.
  • Businesses as a unique marketing tool for branded products.
  • For education, example - creating historical scenes in 3D, or class projects that can be worked on with multiple users.
BrainDistrict GmbH will also be making the Text-to-3D service available for desktop, mobile, tablet and Television devices very soon.

“Everyone loves 3D, however to date, only a very small percentage of people are able to create 3D scenes and images. This is about to change; everyone will now have the power to create a 3D scene on his or her mobile, tablet or any device in a matter of minutes by simply typing text. Our goal is to give every English-speaking user complete freedom in his or her creativity. In addition to rendering cool 3D scenes, users will also be able to create games, and small movies using text and speech. This will change how we interact with 3D Graphics forever.”
Says BrainDistrict GmbH founder and CEO Markus Moenig.

Text-to-3D uses patent-pending technology and leverages BrainDistrict’s flagship 3D modeling and rendering program, RaySupreme 3D, which serves as a development platform for text enabled objects and materials.

The philosophy behind Text-to-3D aims to encourage 3D artists and other users to contribute objects, materials and language extensions to the Text-to-3D Cloud, so that over time the site will grow to house a rich library of 3D content that anyone can access for free.

In addition, BrainDistrict plans to allow commercial sponsors to develop and contribute sponsored content; so creating a new and powerful web-based platform for promoting branded products for example.

I bought RaySupreme and regretted. The software is extremely buggy and full of glitches, lack certain basic options, it is not possible to make a perfect square via freehand. Actually the RaySupreme seems very amateur, made by amateurs for unwary and inattentive like me.

Even though the bugs and defects are corrected, the software is still mediocre, Text-To-3D is superfluous, although in the future this technology will revolutionize the 3D world, but I believe that this revolution will not come from the hands of RaySupreme developers but from another company like Autodesk, for example.

Do not waste money like me, use Wings 3D, SketchUp, Blender, which are free and better than RaySupreme.

First off I would like to say that I have used a selection of 3d software before, I use them for my work and as a hobby...

This is a very nice application, I truly believe that it has some great potential to become even better, its not the 'best' I don't believe in best, but this is a very nice and reasonable price and it's not just another 3d modelling application, the developer(s) have gone ahead and designed a really nice set of new features using inovative technology which is specific to this software. If you'd like to learn more look up the Text-To-3D mentioned a lot on the main website and page here.

Aside from that set of Text-To-3D it has a nice selection of simple tools that will allow you to make some really nice models, whether you want to just get into making models as a hobby or if you're looking to mod a game, add items to steam workshops or use it with Unity, you can do all of that, and more...

I think that I like how simple this application is to use, its straighforward, has everything there for you in clear sight. If you're worried about paying for this when you see people saying "just use Blender, its free" give it a shot and if you're having troubel you won't regret snagging this application, its a lot easier to use, it's not the same in many ways and has unique features and Bledner does a couple of things that this doesn't however... You're capable of doing anything that you would need in regards to modelling for any game you would like to create and or any mod content you desire to make and upload to the workshops here on steam. I mention Blender as I know it will come up if you're looking into a 3d software, they both have their pros and cons but if you're looking for something simple, straight forward and easy to learn, this will be the one to pick, blender is nice, but had a steaper learning curve for sure!

Read over the features, check the site out and if you're interested, feel free to add me and ask any questions. I am a fan of this software and I will be using it to teach a couple of my close friends how to make 3d models with it because they were unable to learn Blender and the way that it worked. I personally take a lot longer to do things in Blender than in this too, and Iuse Maya professionally for work. I would happily and may very well incorporate RaySupreme 3D into my workflow for low to medium poly game assets. I very much look forward to seeing where this software goes, I would definitely say that this software is worth a serious look for any amateur or newcomer to the 3d world and even people a little more versed with 3d, it's fund to use.

I apologise to the devs for mentioning Blender in this review...

Kind Regards,
Patrick Griffiths

.::Edit::.
I am currently recording a set of video tutorials on using this software for making game assets and will work on making a bonus video on importing them to certain games workshops here on steam.

Easier to use than Blender and a fraction on the price of Maya. Best of all, it works on Linux!
