A short, Western-themed 2D platformer in the Mega Man vein. A solid little game which can beaten in around an hour. Levels are short but have no checkpoints so dying restarts the level. Not too much of a problem except for a couple of levels that accounted for over half of my deaths. Some of the level design is of the "you need to die once to know what to avoid next time" variety. There's also the feeling that the devs went down a platformer checklist when creating level features but some of the stuff they did is pretty cool.
Bosses are pretty standard, not great, not bad. Enemies drop gun power-ups and they're mostly in the Contra style. There's no up/down/diagonally shooting, though you can shot while crouched and jumping and this stops feeling restrictive with a couple of minutes of playing. Your health bar doesn't do a particularly good job of conveying how many hits you have until death, as you'll get killed at times with what looks like to be a decent chunk left. Game would've been better off just having some type of numeric representation of health, those this isn't too big of a deal. There are no game overs, you have infinite attempts at levels.
There are three playable characters, Clive, Ms. Johnson, and the duck. Ms. Johnson is clearly inspired by Peach from Mario 2 in how she controls, with the big difference between her and Clive is that she can float for a bit on her jumps. The duck cannot hurt enemies but can jump/fly and is more of a challenge run character.
All said, a decent little game with some replayability, though a bit on the boring/bland side at times but hey, it's 2 buck at full price. Worth picking up if you're looking for a Mega Man-esque platformer.
