I love 2D sidescrollers, already had this game non steam, but i just love it so much i had to buy it again, just the music is enough to make this game badass and ofcourse the weapons, levels, ships are also very nice.Developers did say JnG2 will come in the future but right now they cant because they are working with or helping some other studio.

Fun, Fun, and more Crazy Fun :D

The first thing it comes to mind when you look at the logo is Flash Gordon, then once you are in game, you'll realize you're in for a lot of laughs as it will have satires / Easter eggs (whatever you want to call it), anything from StarTrek, to High Hiker of the Galaxy, to George Clooney, Red Baron, and many many other Sci-Fi classic comedies stuff embedded.

The actual game itself, is more like R-Type but easier or harder depending on the amount of crazyiness involved.

This is nothing but Madness, you can even expect flying Zombies. LOL :D

It's a great stress reliever, just sit back, have fun, and shoot stuff while having a good laugh.

IMO this game is a Master Piece ^_^

I first played this game back in... 2006 or 2007, and it is still an absolutely awesome game! In terms of overall quality it is by far one of the best small-team Indie games. And yes, there's replay value! The story isn't really worth talking about much but it's about the loadout, becoming more and more powerful (with more flamboyant particle effects as you progress).

And I'm gonna call it... Yes I'm gonna call it...
I'm calling it!
GONNA DO IT!
This game has one of the top 3 best soundtracks in an Indie game, ever!

Pros:
+Variety and visuals. This game is full of interesting eye-candy, ranging from particle effects to distinctive and creative ship and world designs! The pre-rendered 3D visuals are awesome, if a bit low resolution now.
+Soundtrack: It's huge, each track is distinctive, and you can find it freely.
+Performance: This game will run on almost ANYTHING. For the record, I played this game mostly an on iBook Clamshell laptop from 2001 using an ATI Rage 128. Perfect for having on a laptop and playing on the go.

Cons:
-Difficulty curve: Starts out extremely difficult. Will get extremely easy in subsequent playthroughs.
-Resolution: It has aged better in some ways than others, and it is in dire need of an HD remake or sequel. This will show if you play it on a monitor bigger than 17".

Gripes:
-No editors whatsoever.
-Could use some kind of touch screen support for tablets.

Verdict: Get it! Its low price is very worth it.
It is also on sale from time to time and also makes appearances in various bundles as well.
