About the Game

Call of Duty® delivers the gritty realism and cinematic intensity of World War II's epic battlefield moments like never before - through the eyes of citizen soldiers and unsung heroes from an alliance of countries who together helped shape the course of modern history.
Play through the chaos of battle as part of a well-trained squad, that lays down covering fire and pulls its wounded to safety. In addition to authentic squad movements and tactics, each soldier's distinct personality and training comes out on the battlefield.
No one soldier or nation single-handedly won the war. For the first time, Call of Duty® captures the war from multiple perspectives, through the eyes of American, British and Russian soldiers. Battle through 24 missions spanning 4 interconnected historical campaigns. Take on mission objectives ranging from sabotage and all-out assault to stealth, vehicle combat and rescue. Authentic weapons, locations, vehicles and sounds of war all contribute to the realism, immersing you in the most intense World War II experience yet.

Shoot things, move to a new area, shoot more things. Call of Duty may seem a little dated, but it's still a fun game. It's only a 3 or so hour campaign though so maybe wait until it drops on sale.

This was my Counter-Strike growing up. I love this game. The amount of people still playing this is incredible. This Call of Duty will forever be the best one. Forget Modern Warfare. This is the best one. You have to play this game even if you hate call of duty. This is nothing like Modern Warfare.

My first COD was World at War. When I saw the first COD on sale, I decided to pick it up and see how well it holds up. To my pleasant surprise, it's quite fun and captivating--in some ways even more fun than the later ones. The graphics are of course dated, but not to the point where you can't get immersed or make out detail. I particularly like the historical setting. There are some poignant moments, though the characters are mostly flat. This one is more about the experience than character drama.

This game is very awsome. It is not like MW3 or BO2.It actually has a story and not the same dang thing over again. If you had sound up all the way...you would never hear again.Anyway it presents World War 2's liberation of France in a great way.Uses actual battles from the war, though it can get repetitive (by most objectives have you shoot these guys or explode this). It has 3 campains that I will review.American: 9/10 because it never gets harder,British: 10/10 because it is always getting harder and it has great story, and finally, the Russian: 8/10 because it is way to hard. But finally it is very fun and old and new gamers should enjoy it. EpicAidan out!

Brings me back! Do you remember when Call of Duty felt unique? When Call of Duty wasn't looked down on and "laughed" at? When it wasn't the butt of the joke? pepperidge farm remembers, that's why we recommend that you play this classic maybe you'll remember too.
