About This Game

Call of Duty® delivers the gritty realism and cinematic intensity of World War II's epic battlefield moments like never before - through the eyes of citizen soldiers and unsung heroes from an alliance of countries who together helped shape the course of modern history.

Play through the chaos of battle as part of a well-trained squad, that lays down covering fire and pulls its wounded to safety. In addition to authentic squad movements and tactics, each soldier's distinct personality and training comes out on the battlefield.

No one soldier or nation single-handedly won the war. For the first time, Call of Duty® captures the war from multiple perspectives, through the eyes of American, British and Russian soldiers. Battle through 24 missions spanning 4 interconnected historical campaigns. Take on mission objectives ranging from sabotage and all-out assault to stealth, vehicle combat and rescue. Authentic weapons, locations, vehicles and sounds of war all contribute to the realism, immersing you in the most intense World War II experience yet.

Please get this game. Easily part of the best COD's to date. I love WW2 Call of Duty's. SURE Battlefield 1 is coming out, but everyone is asking for another WW2 COD. Call of Duty has always done WW2 better than Battlefield. I just hope Treyarch/Infinity Ward realizes that :/

Still get this ♥♥♥♥.

Despite the Call of Duty franchise being a joke at this point, the start of the series always holds up closely to my heart. It was one of the first games that really captured the action of World War II perfectly for a first person game. The variety is also surprisingly neat. Sometimes, you have to blow up turrets, other times, you have to sneak onto a ship, and much more missions unfold. Yes, other games in the series do follow this formula, but for the time, this sort of action was hardly seen before. The soundtrack and graphics (while certainly not aging as great as other games) also helped with catching a certain atmosphere that quite honestly, I haven't seen in quite awhile. Even with Call of Duty 2, it didn't click in quite as great. Not to mention, the multiplayer was a blast. It was one of the first cases of me playing multiplayer at the crack of dawn, it was that addicting.

So overall, if you want to see where the series started, start with this game. You'll have some good times with it, I promise you.

After all these years, still a great WWII FPS. Graphics are a tad dated, but I'm a sucker for that old school graphics charm. I almost forgot that my bro J. Statham was in this game. This is where it all began and it's still a fantastic thrill ride.

call of duty it is the start of a long lasting franchise that has gotten slowly worse over time to the point that even die hard fans of the franchise hate it and this is where it all began
gameplay

the gameplay of call of duty has never changed in over a decade it is a simple run and gun game but for this call of duty you cant ran into fire because this one has a system that make you pick up health instead of you gaining it back over yime the shoting is fine hit detection is the best in the series because it has no mutiplayer and the single player has some difficulty now even on normal mostly because the ai is good at shooting for a change now standing out in the open will get you killed which is why cover works so well due to the fact that you have to take cover to survive

story
the story is simple but great you play as russians trying to get the germans out of russia or the british taking back europe the ending is taking berlin in 1945 you will go through france in planes shooting st each other to driving a tank right back to germany it is a wild ride from stealth missions to high action missions the game never feels like you are doing the same thiing twice the history of world war 2 is shown very well in the games short play time of 4 to 5 hours the levels look and sound very real to world war 2 and at the time this game was very advanced

graphics
sadly the graphics dont hold up to todays standards but considering this was made over a decade ago and had a lower than most games budget its not a big deal

all in all 8 out 10 it is a great game and one of the best call of dutys ever maybe even shooters ever maybe one day they will return to make great games like this

It's a decent Bop-A-Mole simulator featuring nazis.

If only Hidden and Dangerous 2 would get a steam release.

I'm crying.
I think this is the only CoD who made me see the horror of war. These guys from URSS go to battle just to die like they were nothing, and these dam commissaries who push the soldiers to death and even kill those who turn back. They do nothing but pushing people to death? In this CoD there's a guy with a rifle that shoot dow a commisar just to not be shot down by him. How crazy is this, to kill one of your own just to survive.

10/10 for make me think about life. u.u

Born in '92. This game is my childhood, what else can I say.
Bought it today (02. VII. 2016.) just to get the original key code, 'cause I'm tired of "key code already in use" and "invalid key code bla bla" bullsh*t.
Gonna use it on my cracked version of the game as well.
Excellent both single player campaign story and multiplayer maps.
It's 13 years old game... damn, it still looks and feels as good.

Rating: 5/5.

One of my favourite shooters and World War II games! Amazing, it's worth the money, I suggest the WWII Bundle that also includes the United Offensive expansion.

Brings me back! Do you remember when Call of Duty felt unique? When Call of Duty wasn't looked down on and "laughed" at? When it wasn't the butt of the joke? pepperidge farm remembers, that's why we recommend that you play this classic maybe you'll remember too.

Call of Duty back when Call of Duty was more about the sheer sombre miracle of what World War Two was, and the extraordinary circumstances and incredible people that lived in that harsh time.

Call of Duty before it schizophrenically started to glorify and condemn war simultaneously. Back when your enemies were men serving their country the same way you did, before the enemy were random brown people with a vaugely nuclear threat.

Call of Duty before it was about how big badass USA saves the day, back when everyone was given respect and dignity in the annals of history.

Call of Duty back when it didn't need superficial moral choices, back when it was able to tell you war was hell in a subtle way.
