I've felt like this.
I work in an office environment, and I knew what this game was going to be before I ever touched it. Super simplistic, easy to play, and the novelty would wear off fast. The value is in what you expect to get for your money, and whether or not you enjoy it. I certainly enjoyed it for about an hour, I'm not sure how long the actual game is, but an hour (or so) was enough.
The graphics are what they are, you can clearly see that this is your pixel-art swingymabob affair. Considering that, they look pretty good. I don't know if everyone in the game is meant to be fat, or if the artists that work on it just don't have a good idea of what people actually look like. This doesn't detract from it, at the very least they look funny. No one's going to grade the score of this game on the graphics.
I got it in a bundle, and for that price, it can't be beat. On sale for 50% off, still worth it. If I get an hour or two out of a game, without getting bored or annoyed with it, I figure it's worth the small amount I pay for it - especially when given to me in a bundle.
I've played much, much worse looking and much, much worse sounding games. The soundtrack is quite entertaining, most games like this have exactly one 35 second loop that just plays over, and over, and over. This game has a 35 second loop for each level! Kudos. The boss fights are rather entertaining, and you may find yourself dragging them out, because those are the most fun parts really.
You continually shoot, beat, or blow things up, you save your fellow coworkers that are given sarcastic titles, and you unlock weapons throughout the game by beating levels. You can literally sit back in a corner when being faced with a mob and just swing a telephone over your head until they're all finished and then go pick up your ammo and powerups, so there's no real challenge to it. You type too much, I'm not reading all of that version
If you work in an office environment and you've had a bad day, you will blow off steam (pardon the pun, hurrhurr) by playing this game. I got it in a bundle and I'm totally satisfied with it. It's leaps and bounds better than a lot of the crap that gets Greenlit. For under 5 bucks, if you get an hour out of this game you've gotten your moneys worth. Entertaining music, simple gameplay, and manages to do what it sets out to do. The humor isn't that funny, even for office humor, the voice acting isn't that great, and the game randomly freezes/crashes from time to time. Again, not nearly as bad as I've seen other games. Final Verdict
Want to kill an hour and it's on sale for 2 bucks? Yeah, go for it. It's good for that. No one is getting this and expecting a serious 20-hour investment of time. 6/10 overall. Fix the crashes.
