REVIEW OF ESTRANGED: ACT I
Basically Half Life but with a zombie makeover some people would say. But a lot more has been added than that. You don't have to buy Half Life for this mod and it's completely free. You still get puzzles and combat from Half Life but it's in a more dynamic zombie survival style. It also throws you in and lets you find out what you have to do, which means you will have to use your brains to survive while tring to stop the zombies from eating them.
My experience of the game is short but positive. I liked how you are thrown into the story line and you have to work out whats going on and why the island swarms with zombies. Most games tell you what happened before you start, but with this one you have to figure out what the strange characters in the storyline do and what groups there are on the island.
There is one part in the game where you have been captured by a group of people. You don't know why they are a group or what they are going to do to you. You find yourself sat on a chair tied up, one of your capturers is in the room and he then leaves. The first thing your character does is try to escape from this chair and find a way out. Your character knows nothing about this group, but like most people your character tries to escape. This group could of been nice and let you join, they could of tortured you or they could of just cold blooded murdered you. But in this game the story just carves it's way to understanding.
But overall I think this game is fantastic and if you're a fan of Half Life you should play it.
