Summer 2016 Update

This update spent a long time coming. After many iterations, the parry has finally reached a form that is fair to high and low level players on low and high speed. An array of smaller tweaks are also included.

Dice
After the first year of post-release, I've been more or less hands off in terms of character balance. I believe it's a good thing that these things don't constantly change. After consideration I have decided to make an exemption for Dice. He received some tweaks that make his special move faster and a little more versatile.

Parry
Parrying at low speed now allows the victim to live, but grants full energy to the initiator. This allows specials to be used to guarantee ball control after release. At high speed, parries become a certain kill instead.

Just activating the parry increases the speed by 3 now. Which makes it harder to constantly spam (as you'll lose the ball over time due to the speed). And can be used as a tool to speed up the ball more without doing a more predictable smash.

Change log:
- Parry hitpause delay scales from 40 to 80 speed, 29 frames to 0
- Additional hitpause delay is added if the player is parried from behind
- Serve Auto-parry knockback is reduced to make it certain-kill
- A successful parry completely fills up the energy meter now
- Special moves can be performed after a successful parry, but will be activated at the end of the hitpause
- Parry knockback stun releases 3 frames earlier when pushed against a wall
- Dice's special ball bounce duration is reduced from 16 to 8 frames
- Dice can now choose to release a bunted ball from the ground by holding 'down'
- Reduced clash knockback
- Endlessly extending parry hitpause bug fixed
- Player release before ball release on parry bug fixed
- Latch sprite fix on taunt
- Switch sprite fix on various frames

This game has so much charm and style its unreal. The characters all feel interesting and individual and the game boasts a fantastic OST to boot. Unless you intend to play this with friends however I'm afraid you won't be able to enjoy this to its full as its most definitely a game that is best enjoyed with friends locally, unless you enjoy competitively destroying others online by bludgeoning them with super fast baseballs.

There's a lot more depth to this than you'll notice at first. fantastic game mechanics and has led to some great moments with my group of mates. I'd recommend if you're looking for a easy to learn hard to master game to play with friends. Not too bad with randoms but way more fun to know you're smashing your mate off the screen

This has to be one of the games that is really fun despite of how simplistic it is and how much content it has.

Basically the goal is knock out the other players by hitting them with a ball like in dodge ball.

You can play this game up to four players making it a really fun experiense(kinda like when you play Smash Bros with your buddies).

Also another good aspect of this game is the art style, wich is kinda similar to the urban style of games like Jet Set Radio. And also the music sets the mod really well.

I would recomend this game.

This is a neat little game with a simple but clever premise: Windjammers (an old battle frisbee game for Neo Geo) meets Smash Bros. It's fast-paced and the action is really fun; it's a real rush to watch the puck zoom around the room, ready to whack somebody. There are so many chances for "ooooh" and "ha, got ya!" moments with your friends - you can bunt the puck up and then smash it down, angle it off the corners, give it some speed and then trick your opponent to jump in the way, etc. You can psych out your opponents and do all sorts of tricks, but when that fails, you can just wait and see who gets hit first (which is just as fun). I also really like the art style here: it's sort of got a Jet Grind Radio vibe, like graffiti cartoons that popped off the wall and started going at it. The designs look a little amateurish, but that just adds to the flavor.

Now, I definitely think that the game is a bit short of content when you consider how relatively steep the asking price is. There are just six characters, and you can only fight against a string of AI opponents or fight against your friends/online strangers. That's it...no bells and whistles, no hidden characters, no story mode, just straight-up fighting. I wouldn't be surprised if someone bought this and felt that there wasn't enough here to justify the cost. If you're really excited about the game or you tried it with your friends and you know that it's the game for you, go ahead and snatch this up, no question. But if you're only just curious about the game, I'd say to wait for a sale or until you see it in a bundle.

I had a similar issue with Nidhogg, a vaguely similar social hour/party time fighting game which is also on Steam, because it's likewise too expensive and thin on content. I don't recommend Nidhogg, but I do recommend Lethal League because of two important differences. 1) Lethal League is just more fun, and its greater depth means that it'll have longer legs with your gaming group. There are more opportunities for tricky plays and getting creative and figuring out how to best utilize each character's special move. And 2) the netcode in Nidhogg is awful, but Lethal League's online play is really nice and silky smooth. If you want to play this game online, you'll have no problem!

Lethal League is an extremely fun fighting game up to 4 players fighting with super balls to take down each other.

Seriously it's very addicting if you have friends to play with.

You have "Free for All", "Team Deathmatch" and "Strikers" modes, and several characters to choose from and each character has unique movements and abilities.

However, i never found a multiplayer game, i think the game is dead, but had a lot of fun playing it locally with my nephew.

Technically the game is smooth, bug-free and very stable while the graphics are cartoonish.

Single Player: 7.5/10
Multiplayer: 10/10

Totally Recommended to buy it if you have friends, if not check the forums to get players to play together.

I get to kill my friends with my balls.

Thumbs up!

In all honesty there are a lot of things to love about this game. The music choices, art style, fluid gameplay all add up to a well polished game.

No matter if you're singleplayer or Multiplayer this game is cool. Yet... It doesn't really have much different to do. All you can change is: Charecters, Ball, Ball acceleration speed, and a couple other things, that doesn't really matter, like how long you can play a round. You're usually already done in that time... Still recommended

This is way more fun than any other game. At this point it might possibly be more addictive than TF2 now.
