How to play "Valiant Hearts: The Great War":

Step 1: Lie down.
Step 2: Try not to cry.
Step 3: Cry a lot.

The only game, where it`s worth to instal Uplay.

10/10 would dance to band at train station again.

I have no words. The sheer art of the game is enought to stun someone but the storyline is magnificent! Whoever choices to download this work is in for an amazing (albiet emotional) ride that will leave you in tears at the end. Of happiness? Grief? Who knows! Just try it out already! It's worth it. I was thinking of playing for a second time as a matter of fact, to collect the trinkets you can find in the game.

The overall rate I would give this game is a 8.5/10. I had little problems minus some of the puzzles (about two or three) and downloading the game itself, because I had to sign up for Ubisoft and it was a HUGE pain in the ♥♥♥♥.

You get so attatched to each character, little and big.
You will find yourself searching for little trinkets and be rewarded with quite the bit of information that leaves you even more so curious as to what else this game holds.
You will fall in love with the beautiful well-presented music and amazing art that went into this.
You might get frustrated at the puzzles but it'll help build your mind, trust me, and if there's a problem YouTube will have someone to help answer the puzzle for you. I had to do that a few times, to my dissapointment, but that didn't stop me from completing this glorious game.

Overall this Valiant Hearts: The Great War is worth it. Please give it a chance!

Valiant Hearts: The Great War is a great 2d animated sidescroller game, which will make you relive the war times,

Pros
1) Interesting and deep story which you will take part in with different characters
2) Game teach you about past war events our ancestors lived in person
3) Easy to play (Except some quick time events which require a bit of skill)
4) UPlay points to buy even more content for the game for "free"
5) A great amount of collectibles, which will explain you how war times were
6) Great artistical locations and music

Cons
1) A bit too short, would've loved more content of the game, as it's quite good
2) The feels ! The moment you think it's going to be good, it turns downside

The game uses UPlay client, but it's not even noticeable, and by playing and progressing the game, you even get UPlay points which you can spend on other Ubisoft games to purchase In-Game content.

P.S. Ubisoft did a great job with this game, thumbs up.

Intense, touching, emotional. A jump'n'run which not only captivates the player because of its easily accessible layout but also because of its storyline. If you are interested in "the war to end all wars", you will have to get this game.

Wow, what a beautiful game. I really loathe Ubisoft, but I have the utmost respect for Ubi Art. Make sure when you play to try to pick up all collectibles and press TAB to read about them. Read all historical facts and diary entries as they come along. These things gives so much information and depth to the game. I have learned more about WW I than I thought I would and in the best way possible, as a game.

There is a lot of emotional depth as well and we get to understand and feel for all characters in the game.

Highly recommended.

This is an absolute masterpiece. Every aspect of Valiant Hearts is a work of art. I'm so friggen glad I finally got around to playing this.

If you're 1 of those people protesting against UPlay. Do yourself a favor & move that picket line on to the next game. You're doing yourself a disservice by avoiding this title.
