Sobre este jogo

Play as Trane, a "toy" graffiti artist with the street smarts, athletic prowess and vision to become an "All City King" - the most reputable of all graffiti artists. Graffiti culture par excellence!
This is what Marc Eckō's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure really contains. Under the supervision of Marc Eckō, creator of the worldwide known brand Eckō, was this masterpiece of graffiti history designed. Underlined by the beats of hiphop culture and smooth classics you are painting the streets and buildings of the city "New Radius" with your character Trane who lives for graffiti.
You start with your blackbook which let you use different kinds of art like murals, roll-ups, wildstyles or freeforms like sticker, marker, poster. You try to fight yourself to a legend in graffiti. On your way to the top the story let you fight against the rival crew VanR and tells the you who inspired the graffiti culture (focused on New York).
Some product placements like Nokia or Montana(cans) are not disturbing.
You like graffiti and you like to colorize the city with your awesome blackbook designs, learn something about graffiti history and to beat some rivals by fighting?
You gonna love this unique game like I do.

The grafitti art is great, there are grafitti legends, the music is awesome, the levels are interesting & different, there are collectible upgrades, the characters are interesting and different from one another, the fighting is good, the platforming also, the camera at times is a pain in the ♥♥♥, the story is progressive & intense at parts, it gets progressively difficult. Final verdict 9/10, deserves to be re-released in HD, with a better engine & a potential sequel.

Getting Up: One of the best games I've ever played. The game, basiclly, is a revolution game. its giving you so much things to think about. I also think that its the best game for Graffiti lovers. the battle parts on the game are also pretty cool, I have to admit, thanx to the game giving you a few ways to act while in combat, Gives you even more the feeling of a revolution game. The whole Graffiti thing is also one of the coolest ideas I ever heard for a PC video game, I actually have grown up with this game during the years and that is actuall one of the reason why I like art so much, especially Graffiti art. this game is the best. Highly recommended to everyone <3

This game is so awesome

I used to play this game alot then I was younger, on my old xbox and I loved it, I was so glad then I saw that steam released it for pc and I just needed to have it in my collection.

This game is a must have, if your into Graffiti/Street Art, even tho the graphics are outdated, its still really fun and really unique.

All the levels in the storymode is good in my opinion, even tho some of
them are a bit unrealistic, they are still fun and a good story too:D

About the gameplay, the gameplay can be a bit annoying sometimes, mostly because of the camera angles, that sometimes can be really bad and make it impossible to see where your going, but other than that, its okay, its easy to control so thats good.

without spoiling anything important, I need to say this, because its awesome and this was one of the reasons I bought it the first time I did :D though the storymode you are meeting alot of legends, from real life, like Futura 2000, Cope2, Obey and Banksy (under the name Decoy in the game) and alot of others and you have this black book, where you can collect signatures from the artists then you meet them and a camera where you can collect pictures of unique paintings from famous artist, as you see them though the story mode :D

now to the graffiti part, you have your own graffiti but you can only change the colors on the graffiti there is available, so you cant make your completely own graffiti, but the graffiti there is, is really awesome and there is so much, both alot of different styles like, Murals, Roll-ups, Throw-up, Wheat-Paste and Wildstyle, with more than 20 different paintings, in each category. :D btw. this category is called "Pieces", where is a hole different catagory for "smaller tagging", called "Freedom" with styles like, Stickers, Marker Tags, Aerosol Tags, Stencils and Posters.

I really love this game and I would be so glad to see a sequel.

One of the best games I ever played as a kid on the classic xbox. I have so many hours in this game but I swear it never gets old. This game is like no other game, if you want a graffiti game this is what you would want to buy. Everything from fighting cops to looking through your blackbook for which pieces you want to bring to the next level. I have to say though, this game might not be your cup of tea if you are not into the graffiti culture. You have to respect graffiti to see the beauty in this game.

The game can be fun if you can get past the ABO♥♥♥♥ELY AWFUL Controls and Camera.

In a game that requires a lot of platforming, why the hell would they make the camera that feels like its being controlled by a drunk on a unicycle?

This is one of my favorite games through my childhood, i loved everything about it. If you're into Graffiti and/or Parkour, i would highly recommend this game for you. It was a great experience playing this, i still got it on CD somewhere. The graphics are amazing for an game that are released at 2005. First time i saw the game, i wanted it so much i tried to buy it myself (I was waay too young). Worth every cent!

This game is one of the best ones I've ever played.

Well, at first the game is pretty boring, but move ahead and you'll see the difficulties. I will not give many spoilers, I just want to tell you why you should play this game.

1. The story. It is really good story about graffiti writer who's getting up from bottom to the top of graffiti world, improving his own style, facing the streets difficulties, anti-vandal squads, graffiti legends and enemies. But that's just a few words about the story. The New Radius city is fighting against graffiti writers with CCK anti-vandal squads, Because the mayor wants his аss to be clean after things he have done. I won't say what he exactly did, but just to let you know, it is tightly connected to the Trane and his father. Decoy, the guy who do all these 9/06 drawing will tell you more. You'll see the war and the friendship between two teams, the treacheries, victory and defeat. You can't even imagine how big is this game. The ending is also very interesting and you'll be kinda shocked and maybe inspired by this game.

2. Soundtrack. Oh god it's wonderful. You will enjoy every song you'll hear, I promise, it is really well-matched.

3. The graffiti simulator itself. Well, that's just awesome that you can feel that you're real graffiti writer! You have a choice of hundred different graffiti pieces, and they can even be various, so, it'll take you time to enjoy drawing all the stuff.

4. Secrets. The game is keeping a lot of secrets. And challenges. Really hard ones, Try that, unless you're scared!

5. Fighting. This game is also a nice fighting-simulator, you have many ways and weapons to kill your enemy, and by completing some challenges you can unlock new fighting techniques.

Result: even though the game is pretty old it is really worth playing! It's really interesting and hard, I would suggest it to everyone. Just believe me, you'll be happy as you're complete the walkthrough of the game. You'll even want to draw graffiti yourself, believe me I wanted to and even started to. Or at least beat the game once more.

Moje česká recenze: http://www.playhit.cz/2014/12/marc-eckos-getting-up-contents-under-pressure/

This game. I thought it's just mostly about vandalizing and fighting some gangbangers, but it goes far behind that. The controls are complicated, especially on controller and the game simply hates moving the camera. But the story will blow your mind. If you are a rebel in you heart, like myself, you're gonna love it. Corrupted goverment opressing the people of New Radius and you're here to prove that somebody is still free. The story gets even more personal as you learn about a member of your family being mixed in the politics, there will be even more motivation to put the mayor down. I like grafitti, some of them are truly an art. And it's still better to be tagging in this game than in your city. I gotta mention its awesome soundtrack, you'll be singing some of the songs a week later after finishing it. Let me warn you a little people, this is one of the old games that has checkpoints very far away from each other and jumping over buildings can't get by without an occassional fall, so prepare for a little bit of frustration and repettion. It really is worth it though. 8.5/10

All I know is what I feel
Deceive my eyes and distort what's real
Only truth will set you free
I'd rather die on my feet than to live on my knees

Remembered playing this game when it came out ont the original Xbox. Really enjoyed it back then. Was on sale for like a buck figured it was worth revisiting. On pc absolutly horrible. The controls are awful and there is no way to edit them and there is also no support for a controller. If I had paid more than $1 id be real ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
