The appeal of Two Brothers is the same as a lot of Steam Indie games: nostalgia. Too bad Two Brothers manipulates you, the consumer, by that very means. Sure, the trailer seems like a cool, chip tuney ode to the good-old-days of earnest action rpgs like Secret of Mana, but I can tell you--without hesitation--this game is a buggy, unplayable mess. And, weirdly, the developers try to play it off like its all part of the overrall aesthetic. That bothered me. And this game goes for 14.99. Wow. One of the other reviewers was like, "Oh, we've come a long way since the 8-bit days!" Well, yeah, you would think that if you played this game, but in reality, Two Brothers is not representative of the "8-bit" days, "16-bit" days or any other good day you might've ever had. I mean, just the typos in the dialogue were so laughably bad, my god. Buyer's remorse, people. That's all I'm feeling. Luckily I got this game on sale. Peace. Don't buy it.
