A decent point-and-click. Most of the puzzles are hidden object or mahjong, but there are a few other scenarios to break up that monotony. The thing about this game that makes it odd is that has a lack of challenge, both good and bad. There is no good challenge in the sense that you are told exactly where to go and when, and there is really no way to lose. I'm playing this to have a spooky pirate skellingtons adventure, not "Gone Home: Pirates Edition".
There is no bad challenge in the sense that every action taken in the game is logical, and there isn't a whole lot of guesswork. In other games of this genre, I might, due to an obscure objective, just do random stuff until I find something that works. Thank goodness that is not the case here.
The art style is fine, but it quickly becomes obvious that almost everything is a 2D image. It's really noticeable during the dialogue sequences. The dialogue... works. It's certainly not the best, but it does its job in telling the story.
If you really like point-and-click games, and this is on discount, or you have a coupon, you might want to pick it up. It's not particularly innovative, but it's still a neat little diversion that will last a few hours.
