The good side:

The art, environment and story are cute.
You can walk faster by clicking twice on your destination.
The music related puzzles were somewhat original.
Death sequences are great (and with almost no consequences).
The last puzzle was ok.

The bad side:

It's short with almost no replay value (and mostly just for achievements).
Many screens (about 40%, I counted) serve no purpose besides esthetic/ambience (or hidden fireflies, that unlock artworks). And those that do contain something never have more than one purpose.
There's a bit too much backtracking (which is made worse by the previous point).
One "item" is quite pointless and the related puzzle relies on an unexplained mechanic that you will use only once in the full game. (The cat, although a cute companion, will stay available all the time even though it's used only once, it was forcefully crammed in the puzzle you use it for and combining the pets is used only there.)
Another puzzle uses unexplained and specific mechanics. (When you have to combine objects to get rid of the crocodile.)
When trying to figure out the notes you hear, the background sounds will make them hard to discern (turning off sfx/music might help, I haven't tried). The notes will also be played in a loop with a quite short pause in between, which leaves only short intervals for you to try and reproduce them.
The girl will sometimes stand in a place that will make it difficult to click on what you actually want. It's also difficult to click on your companions (it will open the inventory most of the time).
Parts of the HUD should be displayed all the time without having to wait or click blindly, at least the button to access the music sheet. Also, switching from windowed to fullscreen is only available in the main menu.
Some notes are too similar and hard to tell apart. (H and I, M and N, in particular.)
Most of the puzzles were not fun or satisfying to solve.

All in all, this game is quite disapointing. I was expecting much more from it.
It lacks a lot of polish to make it at least enjoyable, even if short.
The dev team congratulates itself in the credits about finishing the project in 4 months. I have to say that, sadly, it shows...

What attracted me to this game was the gorgeous artwork and the title, really. It was pretty and I instantly drifted towards the name of "Finding Teddy". I generally don't like these sorts of games but this is a proper exception.

I couldn't like Finding Teddy more.

I don't want to spoil anything for you so here are some superficial reasons why I would recommend this lovely game.

After wishlisting Finding Teddy, I won this game free in a raffle and instantly started playing it. I was met with a cute point and click game with gorgeous graphics and a colour scheme that was refreshing and by far the prettiest I had ever seen, the scheme even rivalling Fez. The artwork is compelling and quite frankly, very sweet to look at. The gameplay is consistent and the puzzles are challenging yet easy to remember when you figure them out. Concerning the soundtrack, it's charming and gives an aura of mystery. The characters are silent yet graceful and are very lovable.

The story is just... adorable. Of course I like these types of story lines and many other people would probably go "meh" and move on, but at the end it was like I had just seen a baby panda try to crawl up stairs. My heart sort've did a fluttering thing and I caught myself with a goofy smile on my face.

Concerning negatives: at times it can be a little frustrating going through the game again and again whilst trying to get the achievements, if you miss one or two, but all in all it's a great experience. Also this game is mainly a one time play, one time experience game, but it's one that you may cherish.

Finding Teddy is a point and click adventure where you are a small girl searching for your lost Teddy whom was kidnapped. You have to solve small puzzles and also collect music notes to see the end of this game. The game has 3 Chapters. Also keep watching out for fireflies in the level you hear a tone ringing when you click with the mouse and if you click near it the tone will make more noise until you finally click on it. The game will take few hours at most to play through and part 2 is already planned. I think the game is cute in its own way and is really charming if you like Point and click like i do i see no problem if you want to buy this game.

I like pixel art and overall style in this game. Music puzzles are also unusual and for me they were challenging. The game is quite short. It took me only four hours to finish it a few times to get all achievements. So, if you did not buy this game in bundle you may be dissappointed. Nevertheless recommended to all fans of the genre.

Finding Teddy was an absolutely wonderful surprise. I had kept it on backlog for quite some time, expecting it to be a plain ol’ indie retro 2D platformer. In reality, it is a point & click adventure with a light emphasis on music. The art style is extremely pleasing to look at and the sound is cute but can get a bit annoying at points. One of my favorite parts however, is that Finding Teddy does not suffer from the usual Point & Click trope of being infuriatingly difficult to navigate.
The game is short and sweet, perfect for a nice afternoon adventure. It’s really refreshing to find a great story that doesn’t overstay it’s welcome.

I finished this game a week or two ago and already forgot about it. That should tell you everything you need to know. The concept of using music as the main source of dialogue was interesting, but in the beginning you can be left wondering what you're supposed to do - looking at you bird feather statue. On a positive note, the hand drawn graphics do look great.

simple yet somehow very captivating point-and-click.
if you allow yourself to let it get under your skin, it's also emotionally captivating.

while pixel graphics do not make a very impressive game, i cannot argue with it being realised well with its artistic vision in mind.

takes a couple (2-4) well-spent hours to finish.
recommend.

Point and click your way trough this short game, short but sweet. Music and sound hints are an important part of this game, so you better play it with headphones or in a quiet room.

The puzzles are easy to grasp except a couple of ones based on music. These might be confusing because a few of them doesn't show a visual feedback while playing (showing "~" instead of notes).

7/10.

I received this as part of a bundle, and I didn't really know what the game was. I loaded it up blindly and...I'm glad I did.

The environments are beautiful, when I did more research and found out they were made pixel by pixel, I realised just how much effort had gone into this.
The music along with the visuals, just made this game feel completely mellow. Even when accompanied with puzzles and gruesome death scenes (She's a little girl!) it still kept this whole relaxed, tranquil atmosphere.
It's a simple point and click adventure filled with puzzles. It took me a while to figure out how to decipher the musical notes, but once I did, it was a "How could I not see that" moment.

The story is just incredible, I'm not so sure why it really sparks this level of emotion inside of me. There are no voice actors in this game, no text narrative, all you know is that you have to reclaim your teddy. Yet come the end of the game, you'll see how much deeper the story actually goes. The ending made it for me. Completely reminiscent of Monsters Inc, and even the credits were fun to read, with the little notes the devs put in.

The only (and I mean only) downside of this game is longevity. I wanted more. 2 playthroughs and 2 and a half hours later and I still wasn't satisfied.
It's a gem of a game, and I hope Finding Teddy 2 is as great as this is.

+Lovely pixel world
*It's a "point'n'click" adventure with moustly music-puzzles.
A "A-Z"-letter system of sounds (All sounds are available. Nameless at begging)
You listen a music-code and must repeat with your console
or solving a problem with a word (english knowledge needed)
+If you finish once then you will want to complete again
*Alert children: some brutal scenes

5/5 .You will wish to listening the ending theme a lot

You play as a small girl who wants to retrieve her Teddy Bear stolen by a big spider. This is an easy point and click adventure. The mechanics of this game rely on musical puzzles and use of items. You spell word by pressing respective notes in your "songbook". That's it. Oh, you have two pet companions that you use maybe 3 times? Nothing game changing. There is a New Game+, but it changes so little, that you can skip it. It's just excuse for achievos, and those are excuse for a longer play time. Meh.

Game's graphics, sound and interface are simplistic to the bone. Music is slightly better and relaxing. It's not a bad game, as I had a bit of fun while it lasted. The problem is - it's just so short and easy that you will surprised it has just ended.

When credits end you see something like this "This game was done if 4 months! We did it." Devs. Ok, I'm glad you pulled it off, but this explains the simplicity and impression of the game not being polished. Short. Simple. Mimimalistic in every aspect.

I can only recommend this game to two groups of people - point and click genre passionates who are desperate to play some new game and to people who just want a short and easy experience. Everyone else sound off.

How many ways can we murder this little girl?

Story: 20/25 Gameplay: 15/25 Graphics: 23/25 Sound: 22/25

OVERALL: 80/100

This is a story about a girl trying to find her teddy bear ... and you murdering her to get achievements. The story is actually pretty good and is explained entirely by your actions and context. I found the gameplay frustrating and a little annoying most of the time, with some parts of it just not feeling intuitive at all. The graphics looked beautiful and everything just seemed to fit together. This goes too for the sound, as the sound and visuals intertwined. It is rather short and you are forced to play through twice in order to do everything. I'd say get it on a sale.

A magically journey through ones wardrobe that re-built my own soul.
I was highly happy to make a few friends along the way to help me get through some fears.
Nonetheless, home was so close but yet was so far.
8/10
Verdict: Wait for sale.

Very beautiful graphics in this point and click puzzle game. I took me a while to figure out the actual way to solve the puzzles, then it became just a really fun story to work through to the end. Spoiler: the end is not just retrieving my teddy.

A heartwarming tale of a little girl's journey to find her Teddy Bear. Finding Teddy is a simple point and click game involving some puzzle solving. To be honest, I had to play this game using the walkthrough for the first half, as nothing is really explained gameplay wise throughout the game. (I guess it's to add to the challenge, idk). Once you get the hang of the notes and type of puzzles, it becomes easier. It's a great little game to play casually and doesn't require too much of your time (or effort, depending if you use the walkthrough or not). So if you like point and click puzzle games, this is a great game to add to your collection.
