After trying to find out what is wrong and not getting anywhere I am giving up. This game does not work. I try to give CD activation key when the game asks and then press OK but nothing happens. There is no error message or nothing, nothing happens and nowhere I can find solution to what to do and how to get to play game. Same problem is with Chicken Shoot 2 so both are very bad because they don't work.

Waste of money, I am sad.

Thank you Humble Bundle for always exposing me to games I never would've paid for on my own. The graphics in this are cute and fluid but the game itself losing entertainment value after one round. Very little appears different between Arcade mode and Classic mode. I played both a few times and 10/10 will never open again.

But...y'know, Chicken Shoot 2 game free with it, so I should go ahead and give that one a try....

Chicken Shoot Gold is based off of the 1993 film "Chicken Slayer." It's an interesting take on what life is like as a chicken.

First I'll start with the positives.
For starters, this game looks incredible. With a max resolution of 800x600 you can be sure that you'll see every bit of detail. Then there's the gameplay itself. With some games you might find that the graphics are far better than the gameplay. That's not the case with Chicken Shoot. The controls are extremely responsive, which makes the game less frustrating. Another great aspect of the game is the story. For example, the characters in Chicken Shoot are explored throughout the game. One of the first characters that is introduced is Mikey. He's the goofball of the group. As the game progresses you learn that Mikey doesn't have it easy. He uses humor to cope with the pain that his mother's death left him in.

Now for the negatives.
The menu can be a bit confusing at times.

And now for the final question: Would I recommend it? Absolutely not. This game is ♥♥♥♥ing trash. Don't buy this.

Old on-rails shooter game. Graphics and animations are fun but it's too short and it only has arcade mode. No story or challenges, no online leaderboards and logically no one playing online (surely doesn't even work). So it's fun for a while but soon becomes repetitive and boring.

First off let me say I came into this game with low expectations, but after ten minutes I was hooked.the story is on par with greats such as Call of Duty Global Offensive, Raider of the Lost Shark, and Glover. The story revolves around a farmer who I could not discern if he was pig or man, but that's the beauty of the game YOU the gamer get to choose. The shooting mechanics are some of the most fine-tuned and realist seen within the last 12 years. The evironments are 100.1% interactive, gone are the days of battlefields "levelutions" which were drab and bland. The only negative I can see in this game is that I felt physically assaulted when an egg flew at me and a chicken gave me the double bird, but seeing as how I did have these feelings they left a huge impact on me and left me pondering my life days after, so you could take that as a negative or positve depending on what you decide to call art.overall this is a great buy for anyone looking for an emotional rollercoster, and deep reflecttion. 9.9999/10 ( I would give it a ten but nobodies perfect. rip Hannah Montana.)

Go play any flash game instead. You'll have more fun. Constant running out of bullets and needing to reload is what did it in for me.

The difference between Chicken shoot Gold and Chicken shoot is quite astonishing. This game is a must buy, it brings together the full package which the original just cant. The orignal barely lives up to the sequels glory.

Story: The game throws you into an apocolyptic scene from the get go, which makes for a very engaging start (+1). The universe is set in 1934 Nazi germany... BUT WITH A TWIST!!! Instead of Nazi german humans the villans are actually portrayed as chickens, which, i believe, gives the game a deeper poetic meaning (+1). Perhaps the Nazi's have been portrayed is this manner to hint to the fact that not only were the nazi's villans they were cowards too, but its all open to interpritation (+1).

The protagnist of the game is a nameless man, you may be wondering ''Why isnt the protaganist a chicken too?? And Why am i reading this review??!'' Two very good questions. To answer the first one i would say that the devolpers of the game have tried to use the nameless man to represent the allied forces as a whole (+1). Now i know this game may seem slightly racist, but you must keep in mind that this game was released in 1936 as a propaganda method for the allied forces to brainwash the minds of the succeptable younger generations (-1).

After a few levels into the game we meet one of the co-protaganists of the game 'Jesus Christ'. The introduction of the son of god unlocks some new interesting features to the game (+1), but we will get to that later. The game then goes onto an amazing twist, i wont spoil much, but the story turns into a battle against time as you and 'Jesus Christ' go on a perilous quest back in time to stop Hitler from coming into power (+1). Ill leave the rest of the story for you guys to find out.

STORY POINTS = 5 Next up is the Graphics.

Graphics: Not much to say here. Sure the visuals may not be as amazing to games such as call of duty and Kick ♥♥♥ 2, but you must keep in mind that this game was released in 1936 which makes it quite revolutionary in my opinion. (+5).

GRAPHIC POINTS = 5 Lastly up next is gameplay.

Gameplay: The way the game plays is simple yet genius, alot like minecraft its a 3rd person side scrolling adventure. The game then sugar coats this with the addition of magic, you may remember me mentioning 'Jesus Christ' earliar in the review. Well after a few quests you earn his trust, and in return you revieve a bible. This alows you to cast spells which really spices up the game and kept it fresh for me. And personally this game comes under both of my faviourte game genres (FPS and RPG) and i would recomend anyone else who enjoy games under the same catergory to pick this up immediantly. (ONE BIG +1)

GAMEPLAY POINTS= 1

Overall id give this game an 11/10 Phenominal

I remember when I played this game years ago when I was a child, and today the chicken shoot turned out to be just the same as in those distant memories...it sucks balls.

PS: I've managed to beat the arcade in less than 20 minutes, good thing is that it was just an addition to two worlds I + II bundle.

I started this game out as a man, just a simple man playing a game about shooting chickens. Something changed though, deep inside of me I felt a surge of power. I have become more than man, I HAVE BECOME THE CHICKEN SHOOTER.
10/10 Would recommend.

Short version: 73%
Chicken Shoot Gold/2 won’t revolutionise the light gun shoot ‘em up genre and they probably won’t entertain you for more than 20 minutes, but they are perfect to just whip up a simple little game to pass the time when you feel a bit tired or lazy.
They are also exceptionally great to keep little kids occupied. Trust me, it has been proven numerous types, your little brother/sister or your young child can sit in front of it for hours on end while you will be free to do anything. Especially if you show them there are more levels so they can play with a goal to progress.

Long version:
Chicken Shoot Gold and Chicken Shoot 2 are actually cash-in games that rode the success of Moorhuhn (Crazy Chicken), a franchise that lasted 10 years and 30 games. Apparently Germans really like to shoot chickens around the turn of the millennium; during that time you could find dozens of these themed (usually cartoonish) shoot ‘em ups on the internet and on gaming magazine CDs.

Chicken Shoot’s primary selling point is the hand-drawn graphics, and I have to admit, they look good even in 2014 on a full HD monitor. While the game itself is simple as a stick (you get a gun, you shoot chicken, you reload, then shoot more chicken), the small details can really add a few layers to it here and there.
For example all levels (there are five of them in the first one, six in the second, plus an end boss screen in both) feature hidden bonuses you can shoot for additional points: shooting a mine cart into an abandoned mine, blowing off the top hat of a snowman and so on; this also emulates Moorhuhn’s crazy level secrets. And these are just a few of the Easter eggs you can find in the game– apart from those the chicken throw in your face of course.

Yes: the games have several levels. Most people who try the games out will never notice that, because you either need to kill all chicken (Arcade) or get to 2500/3500 points/level (Classic) to advance to the next stage.
And yes, there is actually an end boss in both games, and in the second one beating the Chicken King can be a really difficult task. So… good luck if you try it.
