[SO FAR NO DLC JUST VANILLA]
This game is really good. The negative reviews are of people who are so disabled they cannot learn how to play this.
Anyway, Ima breaka this into segments.
For me, my crappy laptop can't handle many games so I have to resort to mostly 2d games and old 3d games. The graphics are quite nice, but for people who are used to High+ graphics these won't be too appealing. Europa Universalis has better graphics but it really doesn't matter in these types of games.
[General] Now coming from a -usedtobe- Civilization player, this game was a pretty great leap forward. I don't play many games that are so incredibly complex and have a steep learning curve. I played this for about 1.5hrs and rage quitted, uninstalled but after feeling like I should play it again I installed it and learned by myself how to play it. It took me about 5 hours to learn all the mechanics of the game but combat and how to use production and tech, which took me another 3~hrs to learn and know what to do.
(NeedsUpdate)-[AI] Now, the AI is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Well, at least on very easy which I decided to play. I'm sure it gets a lot harder but I will update once I get more hours and experienced in this game. But I started as Germany in 1936 for my first game and so far I have captured Basically all of europe. The AI construction on VE is also pretty disabled as basically the only thing they produce is infantry. No tanks or AA or TD or anything like that.
I get sucked in when I play for about 5 hours so I can safetly say its fun.
So far the only cons is it takes around 5+min to load up but it's probably my computer.
The multiplayer... well to be fair it just sucks. It's good but bad at the same time because the only way to play multiplayer is to join an IP. You can play with just friends but there are less games avaliable.
brb playing more
So far I give it a 8.5/10
