Scavenge for supplies in every corner of every building, craft your gear, pick your skills and loadout while keeping your Squad alive by covering every corner and moving as a group.

It is a game that encourages quick thinking and fast paced play since you need to pay attention to all of your squad mates. If you leave someone behind, chances are they will be pounced on and die. Move as a Squad and cover every corner.

Four game modes: Campaign, Survival, Death Lab and Multiplayer.

Certain events require you to move around a building while fighting off a horde, you must keep a close eye on your squad or they will perish one by one.

Various types of Special Infected have abilities such as Blinding Powder or Acid Pool that encourage you to quickly move your Survivors while making sure they are never alone

In campaign mode you can capture infected buildings that generate resources but must be defended from horde invasions

Campaign:
Play through a highly randomized world following a simple storyline with unique events and a conclusion.

Survival:
Score based mode, go through as many randomly generated buildings as you can never looking back.

Death Lab:
Equip your Survivor Squad with a limited budget and take them through a collapsed Lab. Good micro management of your Squad is essential to your survival.

The new Multiplayer mode is a 1v1 scenario (Online/LAN) where one player controls the Survivors and another player controls the Infected. Nice little Zombie game with a tactical approach. It also seems to be randomized each time you play so it is somehow rogue like.
It is very important to place your soldiers tactically. Rushing in a building with all 4 soldiers might get you swamped with Zombies. So scout the place first, stealth kill stray Zeds, thin the Zeds by shooting through windows and so on. But always have someone cover the back as Zombies can sneak up from behind. Use your gadgets wisely!
There are some elements that force you making quick decisions like bombs, alarm traps and Zombie spawning room size hearts :D

I want to love it.. There are a ton of cool ideas and mechanics but overall there are just too many bugs and ♥♥♥♥ty details that bother me. Almost like it was made by Ubisoft and they only went 90%... on all there games... all the time. So it's comparable to an Ubisoft game!

Fun game brings teamwork to a dayz like enviroment. Starting out you get a little too much of an advantage because of the guns you have but otherwise fun game 10/10 would loot again

They just ran away with their money. Even workshop compatibility would have made this game better but noooo they only did one thing about 10 months after I bought which was they fixed about 6 issues and left this game to rot. Don't buy it. It's a waste of $9.

Okay game, would be better suited for something to play on a tablet. Killed some time, but it gets repetitive.

In short - Too hard, not well balanced enough, you cannot "move'n'shoot" and controls aren't great.

The game itself is good, the idea is good, but its not worth buying now.

Ok if you love anything about zombies then this must be in your collection.

At first I played and end up bored but after playing an xcom like game and noticed new updates for this game I gave it
a second try and love it so damn much, played the campaing mode until all my squad was dead then I felt I had to try the crazy hard mode Death lab , yea I made it up to lab 3 for first time and I loved the GAME OVER part so much.

So if zombies aren't just a reason we have:

1 Xcom like game

2 Squad tactical game.

3 House cleaning :D kill all and loot.

4 I could say is a rogue like.

5 RPG style

6 last retro 2d top view game.

7 Survival for the survival fans

8 Crafting.

What more you want ? ok there is more but I leave that to you to explore it.

There's nothing in this game that stands out, good or bad. Although the price is low, with so many games out there, you would be better off spending your time playing another game. This one is just not interesting enough... even boring.

It has all the right parts - tactical combat, strategic survivor management, leveling survivors, crafting items, expanding base, etc. But each part is made so simplistic that you just go through the routine of doing the obvious, not many interesting choices.

The combat part is too simplistic, not much room for tactics, just keep your guys together and let the zombies come to you. Not many interesting decisions to make, not many options (no active skills, no taking cover, etc)

The survivor management part is even less interesting. Again, it's too simplistic, there's not really a lot of thought you need to put in. Just drive to a site, fight, drive back to base. When you have enough resources craft a gun that has more damage, and continue the routine.

Survivor Squad, is a top down scavenger quest. It starts on a bad foot, as every map you play is poorly lit and at nighttime, the bad camera angle does the game no favors either. It does not have day rotations and and the view gets annoying the more you play. It tries to cover up how ugly or bare bones it by hiding in the darkness, and while that may work for a short time, you see the same map layout so many times it gets old fast.

Even through it says it's random what it has to pick from is so small that every time it feels the same. Combat with melee is mostly useless, yes you can kill silently but the enemy will keep respawning in many maps until you complete a task. That means the more you melee the more you get injured, and that would be fine if there was a better looting system in the game. You never find items of use and you can't trade items, only buy. Nor can you use your items to increase the outposts you build. While you may find blueprints to craft you do not find items such as armor or better weapons, which makes looting a chore rather than fun.

The combat controls are frustrating as you are limited to control up to four members. If a zombie gets close to your south point the people in the north will turn and shoot south leaving the zombies in the north to get closer. They do not turn around or have any way to accurately keep their focus fire, in one direction.

It becomes a chore of go to map, see same layout and same combat, fight, loot and move on as the game does not respect your time. I can not find myself to recommend this game. Thanks for your viewership and support for more videos check click here. http://www.youtube.com/user/SocioPyscho

This is a fun game, but good luck finding anyone to play multiplayer. You can technically spend as long as you like with single player, building up safehouses, resources, and survivors to fight the infected onslaught. Otherwise, you can just burn through this game in a few hours -- you only need to kill the "brain bug" type of monster to win, so you can leave plenty of areas uncleared before completing the game.

If you want a moderately challenging single-player campaign, pick this up when it is on sale. $5 or less is my recommendation.

Very fun - I've only played it SP which can be a little tricky, but imagine MP would make this a really fun game - time to convince my friends to buy it.

Survivor Squad is a top down game where you move your survivors from one area to the next, clearing out hordes of zombies while striving to find the hidden laboratories that host the cure for "the infected". Part of your play, besides killing everything that attacks you, is finding other survivors, searching buildings to gather supplies, and crafting items to better equip your team.

You can choose to clear areas with a team of 1-4 survivors at a time, and as the game progresses, there are certain harsh situations you might find yourself in, such as having to diffuse a bomb while being trapped in a building or having to quickly find the switch that turns off the alarm before being swarmed by zombies, meaning you will occasionally need fast reactions so as not to get overwhelmed. Despite what I have read on here, shooting everything in range is not always a viable option (especially when a horde is passing by) and even though the strategic decisions you get to make in this game do not have much depth, there is always the occasional benefit from choosing to be stealthy or using a gadget.

Unfortunately, the game could use improvement as it has several shortcomings. The art style seems poorly made, there are several situations where your movement gets glitchy, the audio is bad, and the game depth is not very satisfying. Overall the basic mechanics are there and are viable, but it seems like they could all use some polishing to make this game good. Despite its shortcomings though, I will not thwart you away from this game as it could be a pleasant casual game for those who are not looking for something complex. I will instead recommend that you watch some gameplay videos before deciding to play it.

Fun and challenging. When my survivors are walking somewhere and a zombie is in front of them, they won't attack, only walk into them unless I tell them to freeze or attack. That glitch gets annoying, but the rest of the game is very fun. 9/10

This isn't quite as advertised, but that's not a complaint. There's more of an emphasis on a fairly solid campaign mode than the trailer would lead you to believe and it kind of plays like FTL. Definitely worth grabbing, especially if you see it on sale.

Survivor Squad is a good game that could've been great. While it is a bit bare-bones, the basic structure is all there. Build your squad, capture and defend nodes, loot nodes, build gear and find the source of the outbreak.

The gameplay is fun, difficult and requires some thinking. Survivors can be leveled up and gain useful abilities, but they can also die, leaving you with low-level survivors who can't handle the latter portions of the game.

If there was ever a DLC to expand the content of the game, extending the length, I would jump on it.
