I thought a game that had initial price of 23.99 would be somewhat polished so I jumped on the sale. I got my buddy to get a free version of the game also. We thought we are going to have a good time. Oh were we wrong. The journey was a very painfull one and full of sorrows. It started with us having no freaking clue wtf was going on during the tutorial. The so called campaign coop tutorial consisted of putting us on the opposite parts of the map and making us beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of each other.
That was fine whatever, eventhough we desynced multiple times. During the second level the desync issue became even worse. We were able to get a couple source nodes before the enemies attacked. Oh the AI pathing was horrendous, I barely managed to get back to my base because AI kept getting stuck inside trees and taking the stupidest routes possible. Well I got home and defended the first wave of the enemies. Then my game crashed to desktop.
My friend kept going forward while my hero stood there without any control at all. I was unable to rejoin the game because it said the current lobby had 5/4 people. After another failed attempt to join it said the lobby was at 6/4. I kept saying wtf is going on. When I was finally able to join the lobby my friend has failed the mission because he was unable to control my hero. Yea this was the best and the worst experience I have had with an indie game. We have played a game called Love by Eskil Steenberg and that says a lot. So overall this was a giant waste of time, bandwidth and harddrive space. Save yourself and fly you fools.

My friend also has this to say. "Your game sucks. (period) All of the default hotkeys are completely wrong. There's a game called dota 2. You should play that for a little bit to see how to make control interfaces and hotkeys."

In generally it seem like a nice game. But there is no possibilty to safe your game, you have just the opportunity to resume to your progress when you finished a map. I have so many crashes that i didnt get that far in 6 tries. Not one time because i failed, but each time because it crashed. My system is definitely good enough for it, so it must be some softwarte problem.
And when you try the first level 6 times and fail because of crashes, you get tired of a game.
Unless you are really sure it will run fine i would not recommend buying this.

The game runs so poorly I couldn't even make it through the tutorial. Everything's set to low and it's still sluggish and choppy. Just horrible. At least it has trading cards now, so it wasn't a complete waste of a download.

First of all i got this game for free. I then checked the price on steam and i thought this is worth a decent amount of money must be pretty good. Then i read the reviews, reading that the game is complete trash i thought i can give it chance it can't be that bad. Then i played the game... and all those reviews that said bad things were 100% trash. I highly don't recommend this game is garbage. I couldn't even finish the first mission it was so bad.

After playing tutorial and first mision I decided that it was enough and the game is not for me. Frozen Hearth is really slow pasted capture and build type of game which in first mision let you work with only 5 units and took way to long to move from one end of the map to another. If you want to know what is it similar to then think about old Warhammer Dawn of war with worse graphic (even DoW is quite old now), worse minion design and non existing story.

If you want to play this type of game buy any Dawn of war game - they are cheaper, better looking, faster paced, more responsive and overall better than this. I was not expecting much from this game, but even then my expections were too high apparently :/

Oh I almost forgot - even on pc which can run newest AC on highest setting this game is loosing Fps, loading and unloading maps and performs really poorly. Going from one part of the map to another you will see grass loading and when you switch to another part and back the grass will load again which makes the game quite ugly to look at. Seriously, for this price tag don't even think about picking it up.

DISCLAIMER: This is a first impressions review, and NOT a full review, if you want a full review, then please read better reviews then mine

PLEASE NOTE: If I (the reviewer) have played a game that has less than 1 hour of gameplay and is not recommended, means that I did not enjoy or it did not live up to my expectations! Think twice before rating or giving out a comment...

This game is not finished! There I said it, this game is not finished and it is classed as a finished game, really!?! Where are the sound effects you forgot to place in, where is the rest of the music you forgot to put in, where is the story campaign you forgot to place in, this game is not finished!

Let's start with the sound effects, the BASIC necessity for a game, and this game only offers a few sound effects, no sound effects from when you cast a spell or attack a creature etc... No sound effects when you complete a checkpoint, nothing, no ambient sound effects, no walking sound effects, nothing, pure silence, very boring

Music, the music just repeats itself over and over and over, non-stop, the developers probably didn't even have a clue on which type of music they should feature in the game

Voiceovers, the only voice I hear in this game is your main character, who keeps on saying, "I am coming", "For blood and glory", etc... over and over and over again, hardly any of the other characters (in the tutorial) have voiceovers, now I can understand for an RPG game that some voiceovers would not be possible, but for a game that only offers a tutorial where the rest is Co-Op and Multiplayer!?!

Story campaign, no cutscenes, no storyline, no character development, NOTHING, this game has nothing, just a tutorial then after you finish that (which is about 15 minutes), then it throws you back to the Main Menu and your stuck on what you have to do next, there is no story campaign, although in the Main Menu it does say Campaign, which is just you playing the Multiplayer/Co-Op features with just AI, boring

Multiplayer/Co-Op, no one plays this game so I cannot play Multiplayer/Co-Op and I am not bothered to play with AI

NOT RECOMMENDED :(
If you want a good RPG either play Avencast or Enclave (although they are not recommended in my reviews, I still would recommend playing those than this unfinished game)

An attempt to copy the Warcraft 3 rts style gone horribly wrong.

-Bad sounds,
-bad graphics/animations
-lack of much needed voice acting for cutscenes
-the unit voice acting is horrible
- Multiplayer is dead.
-You can't save in the middle of missions.
-Unit design has no overall theme (2nd lvl had me commanding amazoness warriors agianst an onslaught of robotic crystalline head crab aliens)
-Levels take far too long to load on my SSD.
-Horrible optimization, runs like crap
-Boring gameplay/missions (Like I was given 4 minutes to prepare a defence when it takes like 30 seconds to prepare everything = 3:30 of A L T T A B B O Y S)
-Nonsensical story

+Steam trading cards

Avoid like the plague even if you have a plague fetish. Not worth even as part of a bundle because time is actually important (damn you civ)

So in conclusion "It's like skyrim with cancer"- ign 11/10

I can't really see any reason to play this.

It's banal, half-baked, & crashes every round.

There are just better titles out there to spend your time & money on.

I only played through tutorial and the first mission, but I can say that the game has graphics and gameplay that makes it look like its from 2001. The camera is fine, graphics are decent but I find the combat and pace of the game to be slow, dull, boring and clunky overall. I don't think I want to continue playing further. It seems you can also mostly ignore the enemy, get a few resource spots and build up an army of max population and then avoid fighting the enemy by only rushing objectives, because even if your base gets under attack, you can use extra resources to defend it or maybe even completely ignore it.

Also, troops get stuck in trees and you spend a short while trying to get them out of them

It's just not my type of a game.

I'll cut to the chase and get to the point in two sentences, since not many people have a lot of time or money:

1- Save your money for a better game.

2- Reading this? then run, run as far away as you can, and quick.

Really poorly designed game. All minimum on graphic settings and it just feels choppy.
I'm sure it's not my computer, it flies trough really heavy games. This one is just wrong.

If the tutorial aren't helpfull so the rest also.
-The messages removing from self(what if someone can not read fast ?);
-the minimap is a bit to mini
-It's smarter buying over 100 times "Defy Gravity" as looking on this
+Menu song

If this would have actually run good it could have been a somewhat "Ok" game. I still have hopes that the people working on this will change this in the future. If they do i will play it then , but for now it's just a game that will stay in my library untouched ...

As for people planning to buy this , all i can say is to not throw the money out there just yet. If they make some improvements to the game maybe then it will be worth!

10/5

music is not bad for rts games
Helper is not talking in game just words
Sound Score : 10/4

Scrore for price : 10/2
Generaly Tip : Unnecessary costs too expensive for this booring game, My suggestion as a 10 year rts player Buy Age of empires II and play campaing or multiplayer

General problem is:
No mater what pc you have this game will run poorly, if you want to play at 20fps you must lower your graphics to the max

don't waste your time on this broken game.

1.1.8 Steam version

Can't really recommend this game in its current state. - potential spoiled by instability.

Clunky UI, fast pace, animations and sound affects can all be forgiven but the general state of the game engine leaves one feling frustrated and annoyed more times than not.

Frequent crash to desktop including but not limited too campaign scripted triggers and avatar/hero death.

Graphics are okay and fully 3d with map rotation. Base building is present with modular assets added to the main building forcing one to choose wisely according to situation and playstyle. Selection of character types for main hero but they all have the same generic army so its only the skill package that varies limiting replayability on the campaign.

Skirmish maps allow team/ffa setups and introduce another playable faction. (Always crashed... longest match lasted 30-40minutes before crashing)

If they can fix the stability issues then this game may be worth investigating properly but It's difficult to gain any real game time when most skirmish / campaign games crash before completion and have to be started from scratch.

edit: 1 year after 1st trying - fresh install of operatring system, new bios, new main drivers, new secondary drivers same old instability. - Game ships with old physx dependencies, 2008 vcredist and directx june2010.
