About This Content

Awesomenauts: Starstorm is an expansion pack for Awesomenauts, and will bring you five all-new characters. Starstorm unlocks Ted McPain, Penny Fox, Sentry X-58, Skree and Nibbs. In addition to these five characters, you'll also receive three new in-game music tracks!

The universe is in turmoil as the ever-enduring stalemate between the droid armies of the Ones and Zeros reaches a fever-pitch! Millions of battles have been fought across the scorched wastelands of Sorona, the dense jungle reservation of Ribbit IV, on AI Station 404’s installations and inside the recently discovered mystical temple of Aiguillon.

Meanwhile, in the Raki star system, a gigantic remnant of the first AI war drifts close to a burning star. This unfinished battle station, an abandoned relic of the first generation of robots, is called "The Starstorm." It was considered to be the ultimate weapon, holding the power to transform the energy from stars into a whirling mass of destruction. Its hull bears thousands of robot ground troops slumbering in their rusty sleep.

The space platform and its robotic legion were thought to be permanently powered down after the first AI war, and the station has been abandoned ever since. The Starstorm was never fully operational, until recently...

Emergency reports of the star imploding into a giant, burning, space storm indicate that the Starstorm has somehow been activated. The news of the clearly battle-ready station has drawn the attention of the Ones and Zeros, and both factions have sent their best teams to investigate and secure the station and gain control of the Starstorm’s destructive power!

The pieces are set, the eve of battle approaches once more! Awesomenauts, assemble!

New heroes have joined the Awesomenauts!

  • The heroic Ted McPain, armed to the teeth with his trusty shotgun and machine gun
  • Sneaky Sentry X-58, capable of sneaking behind enemy lines
  • The mysterious space-hitchhiker Skree and his razor-edged sawblade
  • Honorary Star Scout Penny Fox, one of the most agile characters in the Awesomenauts line-up
  • The fire-breathing Nibbs, capable of burning any Awesomenaut to a crisp!

Three new in-game tracks are included with the expansion!

  • Sirens before the Storm
  • Spanking Stars
  • I'll make you a Star, Baby

After countless updates and the game going on massive sales, I'd say it's perfectly fine to pay the developers a bit extra for even more features and characters with new gameplay mechanics.

A must-have extention for Awesomenauts featuring:
- 5 new Nauts
- 3 new Songs
- Custom Games Settings
- Replays
- And some more stuff (eg. a new map), which is coming!

Highly recommended! :)

If you play Awesomenauts and YOU DON'T HAVE THIS! What are you doing with your life? It's one of the best DLC ever created.

*edit*

Also for those who bash this DLC for being Pay2win read the following below.

1. They aren't Pay2win, the characters are very easy to counter, the only reason your raging at this is either
A. Your greedy and don't want to pay for this DLC.
B. Cannot afford this DLC and bashing it for no reason.
C. The most common reason is that you got killed once by a Starstorm character meaning they are Pay2win because your the "greatest player in the world" and anyone killing you must be Pay2win or hacking.

2. I have created a series of popular guides to deal with this situation, while most people agree with me, most people just rage because Penny is too hard to kill despite being underpowered during the making of this review.

Don't listen to those who bash this DLC because it's Pay2win, it's not and it's one of the best DLC I have ever owned.
Actually now I think about it, anyone remember those amazing expansion packs games used to have like about 7 years ago like in Age of the Empires? And they just disappeared and replaced by lazy slapped together DLC like in every COD game? This DLC is an expanstion pack, full of awesome stuff and more stuff coming on the way, it's worth every penny.

Well worth the 9 bucks in a game where each character is so unique. This is a small indie title and frankly they need the cash to make the game even better! Toss em a bone and get some awesome stuff! :awesome:

If you're thinking about getting this think no more you should get it now ! this dlc is really great and needed for the full experience of the game.
If you're thinking about why need a dlc when you already have the game, because the game went on so many sales to bring more players and 1$ bundles, so they as an indie company deserves our support and the purchase of this Dlc.
It gives you the ability to play with the new starstorm heroes, customizing your host, reviews replays and more.
Most games with full price that asks for another 20$ for a (Season pass) dlc, but this game was basically 1$ for months and now its price is in the Dlc and they really deserve it so give it a try
