Had a lot of potential, always felt that it was better than Hearthstone, however... even before, the game itself was treated badly by it developers and publishers. What a waste of a good game.

Play cards to one of two rows. Monsters can move laterally or front/back within rows. Usually can't attack hero is there is a monster in front, and back row is a ranged fighter that can be protected by a monster placed in front row.

Interesting. Out of courtesy to developer, rating up.

*STAY AWAY AND DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS*

The game was fun and had a great model of f2p giving you 10k gold & 100 "seals" /similar to RP in league/ per level which allowed you to buy packs with random cards for 20k gold or 1k to 1.4k seals. - after completing the pve missions and tutorials you were given enough gold & seals to purchase a deck + hero with gold & an expansion pack with a lot of "wild cards" used to craft any card you desired.

After the 3rd or 4th expansion however everything changed - A new "standard" mode was created for the less OP cards & combos.

Right after the update got live with the new expansion however you no longer received gold or seals for leveling /i stopped at 50 and had friends at 450+/ and the only way to get the new cards for the standard mode was to spend real money. Not long after my friend list of 60 online at day diminished to only 3 which made me abandon the game as well.

Few months later I decided to check on what's going on only to see nobody has logged in months and reading the forums full with posts "This game is abandoned" "The game is no longer being supported" "This has turned into a moneygrab" which in my honest opinion felt that way.

Only few players play and the ones that do are either in denial or have spend too much money to just "let go".

♥♥♥♥ Poor Game.

Started off Well...Im very prepared to pay money for a good starting pack...BUT...to find out that I have to comeplte EVERY MISSION with EVERY 6 or 7 CLASSES before I can move on seems ridiculous.

I want to do a campaign as 1 person...thats why its a campaign. 1 Follow through. Not a hybrid of being forced to use other cards or Heroes before I complete just 1 mission.

Very lame. Very ♥♥♥♥ poor.

And HEX is much worse because its better, so that when u get to the point its impossible to complete as a HUman (Killipede) then dont bother trying, u can spent days trying to kill killiepede and wont.

Awesome game. Starts out very easy and understandable but as you get farther along it becomes extremely difficult. The card strategy is very technical and 1 single wrong play could end the game for you.

Just look at all those people having hundreds and thousands of hours played, and changing their review to negative after what happened with BlueByte abandoning the game.

Don't spend a dime here, if you decide to play this game instead of one that actually has players and developers around.

I don't really like card-based games, but I really enjoyed playinh Might&Magic: Duel of Champions. Not because I like M&M universe, but because it's just a fine game with many cards, several factions, different strategies to play and beautiful looking cards (with different abilities, of course).

It's true the game is dying, quite a few bugs and about a third of my duels timing out before anyone wins. The meta game has indeed also become stagnated due to a few overpowered strategies used by the majority of players.

That said though, it's still the best physical/online card games I've ever played, and I'm constantly working to build original and unexpected decks which can overcome the typical strategies. And even after all this time, there are still moments when I duel someone who brings some original strategy which I've never seen or heard of before, which completely catches me off guard. I'll speak to them and they'll tell me some story about how they were awake at night and had this idea, or it came to them in a dream or something, and well, I do the exact same ^^

Anyway, I don't know if I can really recommend new casual players to start this game. Truth is it's probably going to be annoying as hell to start playing now, but I would give it a try.

When I started playing this I was hooked for some time, likely was my fave at the time(was playing Hearthstone and Infinity Wars as well). Lots of variety in the game both in cards, decks, game modes and other options. Pretty much everything from memory could be obtained for free eventually. Noticed the player base start dropping and the pricing change dramatically all for the worse. Worst was the sudden disappearance of updates, such a deep shame for such a great prospect. The people in charge of this game are seriously flawed in many areas lol, so much potential to make so much money and they threw it all away...

looked like a great game when i started, and it played really nice in the beginning

i put some money in it and it soon revealed itself to be absolute p2w
so i stopped before the lack of any foreseeable f2p progress would drive me insane

later it turned out, they stopped working on the game a few months ago
and its now in permanent maintence mode
with a broken patch and totally bugged

the verdict can only be NOT RECOMMENDED
stay away from the now dead, abandoned game

and remember,
if you see uplay pop up ever again, uninstall the game immediately and refund is possible

Figured I'd try to play this with a friend.

Already at the starting screen, "Log in to your Uplay account". Knowing from experience how garbage that company is, I was already worried. I log in, try to set the video/sound settings. Then restart, nope. Nothing saved, have to do it again.

Tried adding my friend? Nope. Apparently I have 0 friends on my list, more can't be added and it won't work nor give an error.

I've played under 1 hour and already noticed several bugs including graphics glitching, can't add friends to play with. Read some more reviews and noticed bluebyte is in charge of the game now. You might as well try to sell cancer to people because Ubisoft+BlueByte is exactly that.

It's a shame, I played Might & Magic for a long time and the series is amazing. This game would have rivalled Heartstone if they didn't break it.

MMDoC is a digital Card Collection Game (CCG) with cards belonging to six different factions, each having their unique heroes, crreatures, fortunes and buildings. Each hero can use spells from 1/2/3 schools out of a total of 7. There are also 8 event cards in play from both sides. A duel is a fight to death between two heroes, each having 18/20 Hit Points. Each card uses resources. Spells, creatures, buildings, events and heroes have synergies. One good combo can change a 25 turn long game. Nearly every game for the first 100 games teaches you something if you are experimenting. Just imagine. All this, for free. Paying money only to get in game currency that buys premium packs, or buying premium packs as-is. The best CCG concept, with the most balanced and innovative F2P model.

Only I have any clue how painful it is to mark a thumbs down on this game; because, this is was hands down the BEST digital CCG ever. Don't get me wrong, it still uses essentially the same game mechanics - easy to learn, complex to use and difficult to master - that made loyal users and fans of a lot of players. But just when everyone thought "Hey, Ubi isn't ****ing this up!", they did exactly that. And after botching it up, instead of fixing it, passed this game to a third-grade dev that goes by the name "BlueByte". Seriously, I don't say this lightly, but ROT IN HELL BlueByte. You sucked the life out of my beloved game. If you didn't want to manage the game, why acquire it?

In 2013 to early 2014 this was a lively game, with a great community, good CMs and responsive devs, regular tourneys. 1000+ concurrent players. Weekly, and by winning touneys, it was possible to earn a healthy amount of both, coins (for buying stuff) and seals (for premium packs - basically, packs with better chances of better cards and 2 wildcards). Alas, I came in JUST as that party was about to end. When I joined, UBI had "overhauled" the economy and made it impossible to earn seals (except for a couple of one time achievements). They also made the older decks restricted to "Open" format, so for the standard mode (used in tourneys) people had to start anew. Thus, player numbers were falling. And still, without putting in any cash, I was having fun playing both, ranked and unranked. It was so much fun making strategies, multiple decks, tactics and gimmicks to surprise the opponents, making knockout move combos. It had a few bugs and the guide was old and unintuitive so I even collaborated on a huge guide. That was how much I was into it AFTER the economy got restrictive.

But then, for a long time, Ubi didn't fix known bugs. No innovation, no balancing, no new cards, no interesting announcements. As people got used to it, a few decks came out too OP and the meta-game stagnated at all levels. Still, for a newbie like me, it was all fun and games. Then they released a new pack and more stackable units and cards that made stackable viable, which was enough for me to tinker but not higher level play. Basically, people wanted Draft mode and the devs were silent. Then one fine day, the dev changed from Ubi to BlueByte. BB wreaked havoc with the community. Absent CMs, no updates, just weekly epic cards in the infernal pit that only got more and more laughable each week, followed by mindless, childish, puzzles posted via facebook regularly only angered the playerbase more. Then BB released a couple new series, but about 80% cards were recycled from the older sets, bringing into the standard game the older, unusable cards. Of course, ♥♥♥♥ hit the fan as veterans with fine tuned OP decks with 10 epics gathering dust since an year and a half grabbed the matchmaking, and balance issues were everywhere. On top of that, when the draft mode was finally released, there were more bugs than players could possibly "adjust" to. Most of them giving the opponent an insta-win.

Soon, an announcement followed, that basically said "We're closing down all dev work on this game, you can still give us your money if you want by buying stuff in the game shop but we're officially killing the game from our side. So as long as you suckers want to play, you can, but we don't care." And that was it. An amazing CCG killed by stupid, lazy devs and utter greed, mismanagement and abandonment of a AAA developer like Ubi. I really loved this game and like many others, I've spent hours in game and in my mind thinking up good decks. Alas, the game is no more now that even the resilient guys (like me) have also started to uninstall it and play other games.

The game is fun for a card game. A free version of MtG.

It quickly becomes difficult in both Campaign and Multiplayer battles. The Campaign is paced in difficulty so that you wont be able to finish it without learning how to and collecting the cards to build a serious deck. The puzzles are also a good way to learn some tactical methods of the battles. In the Quick games, however, the biggest problem is the matchmaking. After the first five levels, the players you are matched with could be much higher in skill than you. After level ten, you are hard-pressed to find a player who isnt wielding a better deck with purchases.

If there were a more comprehensive matchmaking, or even a more restrictive one, the game would be enjoyable. As it stands, it is unacceptable how the game is designed to make purchases necessary so early.

This game...oh boy, this game.
It started out as an increadile card game that could give others a run for it's money. However, I stopped playing after a few problems. I was expecting to come back no later than a week at most.
...the problems got fixed 2 years later.
Luckily, I saw a friend play it. This game simply got ONE patch, and was announced to be dead.
Seriously, don't get it. The new company killed it in one well-timed swoop.
The potential... ;w;

I loved this game, it was a great way to kill 15 minutes or so before I had to go to work or school. But it just isn't worth it anymore, the crashes started by the last and final patch mean I can't get through a game without it crashing. Honestly I am gonna give it another shot now that I have upgraded my computer, but that really is just wishfull thinking. It had its flaws, with some things being rather unbalanced, but it was fun and now it is just unplayable.

I have hundreds of hours between official app and iPad version, so disregard the steam hours

This game is dead. For almost a year after launch it was bustling with players and very fun. Competative livestreams and tournaments. Content updates.

They murdered the game by turning it pay-to-win (cash grab) after its popularity slipped. Certain cards were just too good not to have. And you had to spend money for them because a 'free' grind to earn them would take hundreds of hours

Now the game is dead

At first, I very much liked this game as a free-to-play fantasy card-dueller, but I've since noticed it has a very real pay-to-win structure, but the biggest problem I've run into lately is other players cheating during duels. I've wracked my brain trying to figure out how they can legitamitely perform certain actions, and nothing accounts for any of it.

Mechanically this game has a lot of potential. Unfortunately (according to the forums) it is no longer actively supported and it is very pay to win.

If you want an online TCG, I recommend looking elsewhere.
