Waste of money. The game sucks, IA is broken, Bugs are plenty, Multiplayer doesn't even work for me, this is almost like one of those German Simulators, they make anything to get money, this is worst than buying DayZ

Having just bought this game after playing 20+ hours of NASCAR the Game 2013, I can confidently say that it was $20 well spent. First off, the graphics are a step up from the previous game. The only thing that I did not enjoy was how the menus were redone. They seemed to overuse the color red, as it appears in every menu. The design between this game and 2013 feels like the difference between iOS 7 and iOS 8, or Jelly Bean and Kit Kat/Lollipop. However, as stated before, there was way too much red for me to handle, in comparason to 2013's transparent menus. However, the gameplay easily makes up for the menus. The AI is 200X better in this game than 2013. Also, in 2013, everytime I would touch a car, I would spin and crash, but in 2014, I am able to easily recover (this may however be to assists I wasn't using in 2013).
Overall, its a great buy whether or not you like NASCAR, or have played any previous NASCAR games.

Nascar 14 is a very enjoyable game, though no racing game will ever beat Nascar Racing 2003 and since Papyrus and Siera went out of business games just havent been as good. for me though the glitches such as Mcdowell getting randomly flung out into the infeild i find very enjoyable its very smooth the driver standings are much more realistic when you are racing and its easier to see if you are about to lap Danica Patrick. though i would like the crashes to be more realistic such as blowovers i give this game a 8.9/10

I played this previously on the Xbox for about 4 days to see if it was worth getting at the time, and with all the bugs in the game back then, I just said I'll wait until the game hits at or below $20. When I saw this was going for $20 on steam, I got it, and after currently 4 hours of career and single player racing, I found they have improved vastly on the game

Previous rating 3/10

Current rating 7/10

I do like this game, but there is little change from the last two games. It has a few bug fixes and such, paint scheme upgrades, but this game isn't very different. If you care about little things such as new paint schemes, this game will suit you.

The game is complete crap unless you have a racing wheel. Other than that, it's a pretty good game. AI could use some work.

You are better off pirating the game. They refuse to fix the problems that have been around since the 1st game so why give them your hard earned money?

This game has so many bugs. The developers don't seem to care about their customers. The game came out in Febuary and here we are in the middle of June and there is still no patch. Even though this game is part of the steam summer sale DO NOT BUY IT!!

Game sucks HARD... bought it because i had 15 bucks to burn.. would have rather actually lit the money on fire for more enjoyment. the 60FPS lock is a joke, windows are not in cars, horrible tearing even with vsync on... none of the realism issues were ever even looked at by the dinks who made the game... sorry. Stick with NR2k3- at least you know that the cars handle close, and the AI knows how to race...

The LAUGHABLE 5 bucks for DLC packs? how about free? They arent worth it. Should also mention that the QC for the skins is ♥♥♥♥ poor - the numbers need to be in the same spot (per NASCAR regs) yet the toolbags cant even manage that - heck they even argue that they are right even when presented with the official rules per NASCAR... but whatev. The Joke cars - Chase Elliot??? etc are enough to send any real fan of the sport over the edge.

This game is just so horribly ported, slapped together and created, that they should have the license revoked.. If I were NASCAR Id be ashamed to put my approval on this travisty of a game. Anyone that thinks its "good" or "fun" has never experienced any sort of real racing (sim or otherwise) - no car handles how these do.

The reason noone is online with this game is because it sucks so bad!

Do youself a favor, if you want to try it, don't - save yourself the aggrivation and frustration of a crappy console port, with crappy AI and Crappy "physics" - stick to the TRUE NASCAR sim - NR2k3, or iRacing if you need online. They will give you a better, more realistic experience just by loading those games than this one does when playing it.

I cant add enough thumbs down to this crappy game !

Well, this developer got me again. Shame on me. It has the EXACT crash to desktop on pit entrance the last NASCAR game did with zero support. I am the idiot for buying the game again, but me and my friends will never buy another game from these people. Trash game, trash support, and trash developer.

NASCAR 14 is a glossy visually appealing console game designed for the casual gamer, not the hard core simulation gamer.

This was my first NASCAR game since NASCAR 4 (circa 2001) and, compared to NASCAR 4, calling NASCAR 14 a simulation is false advertising. NASCAR 14 is a game console port, designed to appeal to the casual gamer who wants to be a Jimmie Johnson or Jeff Gordon from the start. NASCAR 14 has great graphics, fun racing and some spectacular replays, but........ if you want realism, go and get NASCAR 4. It is extremely unrealistic in terms of damage and pitting on cautions, I was treated to a replay and then the option to pit BY PRESSING A BUTTON (which I never got to work). No worrying about pit road speed or hitting your stall or about being blocked out by another pitting car. Also after accidents including flipping my car, I was able to remain competive and didn't even lose a lap!

If you want realism or an immersive environment, don't get this game.

Pros:
A career mode that implies you need to worry about sponsorship.
Great graphics
Nice music (NASCAR 4 had none)
Little skill required to play.
Ease of changing assists (i.e. it is not either all or nothing)

Cons
Career management is largely impotent due to very little impact to your finances even if you mess up your car on a practice session
Other drivers seem to be perfect and never crash. Sometimes bad things happen and sometimes you benefit and sometime you don't. In this game it is all in your hands
Little realism, no need to adjust your car to your driving preference. Go ahead and put all that weight on the front right tire, it won't blow at all! No need to spend time balancing your car to minimize tire wear while balancing it with the need for more speed.

Let me start by saying I'm a NASCAR lover. Have played every NASCAR sanctioned game since the mid late 90's. This game is pretty and the detail is very high BUT....the AI is almost impossible to deal with unless you turn it well below 50 % difficulty. It's like driving online with a room full of 10 year olds. All they do is wreck you. If you drive with a gamepad (windows 360 controller) switch the steering to the directional pad. The left and right sticks are impossible to use. I long for the days when Papyrus made the best PC racing games around. They released their last game in 2003. RIP Papyrus, you'll never be forgotten. Too bad Eutechnyx didn't make this game the way Papyrus mastered it.
