Informazioni sul gioco

Control the evolution with the touch of your finger. Climb your way through the evolutional ladder. Start as a little organism and transform into a magnificent aquatic being. Explore the abyss in search of nutritional elements. Attack other species whenever you run out of other food sources. Enjoy beautiful surreal visuals and relax with minimalistic ambient soundtrack.

Can you grow the biggest Sparkle in the world?

Subtle, captivating, addictive. These three words describe the world of Sparkle - world in which you make a tiny aquatic creature evolve into becoming a grown, magnificent being.

We give you control over your Sparkle's development and wellbeing, and you have one goal - to evolve. Whilst exploring the Sparkle Void, you find various nutritious elements to eat. Sometimes you will even have to fight for food with other species. You become what you eat - you get to choose whether your sparkle becomes a fast and aggressive carnivore, a sluggish but fast-eating herbivore, or an omnivore, whose features lie somewhere in between. Insight to your Sparkle's DNA strand will give you information about the progress and will help you plan which microelements you want to focus on eating next. You will also get to fight giant bosses from time to time.

But there’s no rush to keep the game in full swing at all times. You may as well just relax, play the game on a slow pace, explore the sparkle void, consume nutritional elements, enjoy simple and surreal surrounding and listen to the ambient music soundtrack. The choice is all yours.

- Three different ways to evolve. Become a fast and agressive carnivore, a sluggish but fast eating herbivore, or an omnivore whose features lie somewhere in between
- Play through 13 dreamlike looking levels.
- Use GenLab to check your Sparkles DNA strand, your progress, status of your special skills, and plan what to eat next accordingly.
- Relax with great chilled-out ambient soundtrack.
- Compete against other Sparkle in fast-paced competitive mode

I'm writing this review after finishing the game, well after I was done with it. When I first played it, the game looked pretty nice. Beautiful graphics, whole evolving idea to explore, spore-like gameplay, 3 paths to choose. But after first few levels illusion of "evolving your creature however you want" ended when I saw you get 3 preset creatures depending on which color blobs you ate the most. Gameplay gets pretty repetitive and is not challenging at all. When you first time encounter a new creature, working out how to beat it and which parts to attack first etc. is nice but when you have to kill it for the 30th time all the appeal wanishes. After killing the second boss and getting 100% achievements I've decided to stop playing, because I saw no further motivation to grind through teh rest of the levels. Another con I will give this game is for it's GUI. At 1080p resolution menu items are extremely pixelated, you can't tell between green (completed) and yellow (not completed) level tiles to see which level you should go to next. At least it wasn't botehring me inside the levels because there isn't any UI at all.

Pros:
- beautiful graphics
- creative enemy design
- trading cards?

Cons:
- repetitive
- not challenging at all
- no customization options of your evolving creature
- ugly GUI

TL;DR - if you are really bored and it is on sale, it can entertain you for a hour or so (I've completed it in under 3 hours). It is nice to look at and you even get som trading cards and achievements.

Maybe this is meant to be a "zen" game, but I found it far too aimless. You are a shrimp-thing that eats red, green, or blue round things. Which colour you eat more will decide on your special ability. Sometimes, you have to eat the pieces off of other lifeforms, by chasing them around and biting them in the butt (yes literally). You have to eat all the pieces of at least one colour to complete a stage.

So far, it seems like you cannot die. If an enemy bites you, you get kicked up to a shallower depth, then you dive right back down to try again. There is no win or lose, there is only a waste of time with no reward or satisfaction to be attained.

The game was nice and colorful until the squid boss level. God f***ing christ, devs f***ked up the camera and contols there beyond any possible playable level. I started feeling myself as i'm back in 199x, playing some cheap-♥♥♥ monkeyd 3d sega port, with camera behaving as a drunk bear inside russian tank on Red Square. Forget about swiming where you want and attacking what you want - the game will lead your helminth wherever else but the place you pointed.
If you want to have somewhat good memories about playing the game - DO NOT try the squid boss level using mouse and keyboard - use gamepad, it's the only way to finish the level without ragequit.

-The perfect game for casual play, throw on a podcast or some music and eat away at other organisms.
-The game has pretty much no failure conditions at all, there is a competitive mode where you race to gather more organisms than the ai, but ai is so slow its not really a threat, and the other organisms in the regular game cannot eat you so there is no way to fail, which in my opinion is good for just a casual experience.
-You can make the experience a bit deeper by trying to pick up only other organisms of a certain color, each color organism gives points to different attributes of your specimen. There are 3 colors, and each has its own special ability, so if you've gathered majority red organisms, you will have the red special ability and so on for green and blue.

PLAYTIME: Completed every level and gained all achievements in the playtime shown.

This game is almost the same as a Spore when you're a little worm (In this game it's a Sparkle) at the start.
This is about evolution when you become as this worm and you're eating few kinds of food, and you're having at the same time a fight with a different worms for that food.

For me this game is good and a bit relaxing.
To be honest, kinda I like this game.

I rate it 8/10.

Even though I really enjoyed Mass Effect 3, this game here contains too much red-green-blue.

The gameplay feels quite repetitive. The game´s basically eating up red, green and / or blue dots (although the developer created a few nice animals to eat up). All the time.
And there is no action in it. You can´t simply be the monster swallowing everything in its path and therefore growing bigger and better- after every dot, there is a ~1 sec downtime. And while eating or waiting, there aren´t real threats.

STORY: There is none. Thats not a bad thing in its self. Plenty of games with little or 0 story can be great games. Just take a look at mario. However its not a good thing here. There is no explination to what or why you do stuff in the game. You just eat to get bigger, thats it.

GAMEPLAY: There really is none, you just move and eat. Nothing more.

CONTROLS: You move to eat. You do have some moves that you can use, but i could never figure out what they do. I used a game pad. It worked fine.

SOUND: The one thing this game has going for it is the relaxing music. But it gets old fast as its the same track in each stage. (At least i think its the same track. Might just all sound the same.)

GRAPHICS: It looks like the kind of game you would find on the nintendo 3ds E-shop. Thats not bad for the 3ds, but here it just feals flat out boring. I also had a problem of not being able to change the graphics settings. The menu was there, but when i would change it it would just change right back.

REPLAY VALUE: Next to nothing. It took me 3 hours to get all the achevements. 30 min of that was grinding the last one

Do i recommend this game? Yes and no. I had fun playing it and i would buy it agian, but i would not reccomend anyone else to unless you got it 90% off.

Sparkle 2 Evo... Just a Flow clone?

Many people say and think this is a Flow clone, I personally have never played Flow, nor have I watched videos so that will not be influencing this review.

Sparkle 2 Evo is about a three hour long game, where you control a microorganism where your goal is to eat to evolve. What you evolve into depends on WHAT you eat, so eating red makes you a carnivore, blue an omnivore, and green an herbivore. Depending on which of the three you become you get special little extra stats, for example the carnivore being the fastest. What you eat ranges from bits of food floating around, to giant squids fifty times your size. Also, each animal you eat requires a specific tactic to beat, for example, using the tactic that’s used on a glass squid wouldn’t work on a skeleton, which makes the latter levels in the game more interesting, and creates some great, well thought out boss battles. There’s also an GenLab, so you can see which of the three traits you use the most, and what your current bonuses are (developers said you can use the lab to change your creature, leading to people believing you're supposed to do it in the GenLab, but they were more getting at the fact that you can change your creature based on what you eat). There’s also a competitive mode where you try to eat more than the opposing AI, fun but not too interesting.
A lot of complaints come from this game 'not looking good' or being pixelated, and not having the option to change resolutions. Well, don’t listen to those, because you can adjust resolutions, and it can look damn near perfect on the highest settings. With that having been said, the visuals are beautiful, absolutely just full of vibrant colors, and this may actually be my favorite part of this game. Various corals, and other large debris define the maps, and change depending on the depths of the levels, and location, which I think can be really good at times. The music, well, isn’t amazing. It’s not BAD, but could have used a little more variety.

Now for the problems, this game is buggy as heck. One of the more infamous glitches causes you to not be able to progress any further on a boss battle you just spent eight minutes trying to beat, forcing you to restart, and possibly having you do it a third time. Another major bug was a missing species that was required to be killed for an achievement, but recently this has been patched. The last bug I’m going to mention is when the keys stop working. Yes, they completely stop, even when you exit to the main menu and the level reloaded, they still won’t work, forcing you to shut down the game and restart it. And the biggest problem in the game, you can’t be hurt. Did a creature ten times your size just bite you? Well, better throw you up towards the surface then. This completely removes any urgency in the game, making it more boring than it should be (entertaining nonetheless).

Pros:
beautiful visuals
complex evolution system
good boss battles (sometimes boring though)

Cons:
bugs, glitches, etc.
controls are… off
your “compass” is confusing at first
cant take damage

I would recommend waiting for this game to go on sale (as it often does) if you get it.

Score: 5/10
Score (if the three mentioned bugs were removed): 7/10

Pretty game, surene music, runs well, and controls well with xbox360 controller (as long as you notice to toggle the control choice on the upper-right which is not on by default). Ran flawlessly on my Windows 10 Alienware Alpha on full screen 47" TV at 1080. Ultimately I it was so boring and sleep inducing. I thought it would be more like Feeding Fenzy. But your food sources are monotonous. Plus the brilliant light effects gave me a headache. (1/5 stars, pretty but no fun).

When people contradict one another about Sparkle 2 Evo, anyone in their right mind would adopt the single unassailable view: the game is a relaxing and addictive (although a bit repetitive) aquatic eating simulator. Supporters of the attitude that Sparkle 2 Evo is not fun enough for its $5 price have wisely approached the task of populating their brain with ideas so that they can now easily keep afloat in the ocean of truth without fear of their mental possessions dragging them down to the bottom.

Honestly, we need more than a "yes/ no" system. This is a game I would recommend at a sale price of $2 or less. Do I think it's a $5 game? No I do not. This isn't a negative review, so much as I believe that people could spend their money better elsewhere. It's not a bad game, just not worth the price point they have it at currently.

Sparkle 2 Evo was a game that i found myself to not enjoy on first sight, however as the game went on, i found it very relaxing and entertaining in a sort of way. It is a game that you could easily sink 1.5 - 2 hours in, It consists of the main animal (thing) of eating other blobs to grow, which later you would begin eating other animals aswell. This was entertaining as i (personally) haven't played any of the other games that are based on eating smaller animals to grow, etc.
It had beautiful, consistant graphics and each new animal and background i discovered all shocked me, as they really were beautiful.
However, it is not a game i would see myself playing again, as it just doesn't seem like one of those games you would play over and over.
I rate it a 8/10.

Sparkle 2 Evo is belonging to a series of games with Genesis and Zero, where you're taking the fate of a little sparkle in your hand. Your goal is to make him evolve and reach adulthood. To do that, your little guy can eat microelements, that will determine towards which category he will fall.

Indeed, while you don't have any control over the DNA in itself, you can choose to eat only a single kind of element or juggling between them, knowing that when you're leveling up, you can change your form and by doing so use a special ability.

You can be a carnivore (by eating red elements) with a sprint as special power, a herbivore, with the possibility of eating elements away from your mouth (for that, you should search green elements) or an omnivore, with a repulsive ability (the blue element will be your best friend).

However, through different worlds, you're not alone. You can find octopus, fishes, etc.. that you can eat. They're also belonging to each color: you will find blue, red and green fishes for example. You're generally alone in the world if you choose the casual mode and your goal is to eat one element until none is left. You can choose to continue to explore the rest of the level, which will allow you to level more.

But you can also enable the competitive mode, where other sparkles, controlled by the AI, will fight you for dominance. Your only way to win is to ensure that you ate more elements than them. When you win, you can clear the level as in the casual mode.

My great regret in that gameplay is that I don't have a real control over DNA. I can't choose the elements I really want. The only way to do it is to eat only the microelements and when you're in competitive mode, you can't really choose to avoid some elements if you don't want the AI to give you time.

Also, some enemies tend to swap layers, with a resulting chase being difficult.

The graphics are beautiful. You're really in another world, with bright colors. And the soundtrack is really relaxing. It's fitting to that deep world.

Anyway, Sparkle 2 Evo is a game, despite its flaws, that is very entertaining. If you want a total control over your sparkle and have quests, you should orient yourself towards Genesis. If you want just a sparkle without any goal, without any worry about being carnivore/herbivore/omnivore, head for ZERO. However, Evo and Genesis are the best in the series, so, you can purchase it without any problem.

Evolution is a concept that interests me and I'm sure a lot of other gamers. Sparkle 2 Evo looks like it should be the real deal, but sadly, it's nothing more than a glorified game of Hungry Hippos, if you know what I mean. There's very little strategy to it. It's just a race to see who can gobble down the most of one of three different types of nutrients that turn you into a herbivore, a carnivore, or an omnivore. It's not really any kind of fun and the evolution aspect has no depth.

If you wanna Relax with some music, and some tiny little sparkle eating coloured microrganisms, Buy this game.
I enjoyed it so much, playing a level per day, and seeing my sparkle evolve until the last stage.

It's a pretty good game. It's also simple to understand: Eat, grow, eat some more, rinse and repeat for all the levels. The difficulty doesn't really increase, but the areas become larger and there are more elements to collect in each level for completion, as well as a larger array of different kinds of life as you progress. You don't die, but there is a "Competitive mode" that times you and pits you against other critters (controlled by AI) like yourself, all trying to gather as many resources as fast as possible before time runs out. That mode isn't fun, but I just turn the option off.

Overall, I recommend because it's easy and relaxed, and I had fun with it.

Only issue is that it's repetitive once you've done it a single time, so nothing really feels new.

It's worth buying at discount, but probably not full price.

This game is very relaxing. You can get it on sale, as I did, for around $0.50. Definitely worth it if you have 50 cents sitting in your steam account. I personally find the game to be very relaxing. Especially on those nights when you just can't sleep.

10/10 Would buy again.

Fair warning: This game is super addictive. It doesn't take very long to get the acheivements to start rolling in, so if you're a completionist, you might find yourself playing for a few hours steady.

I honestly actually litterally remember doing just this as an early life form. I am not joking. I tend not to have the best memory unless I am interested in what I was doing. As it is with most. & I do remember doing this myself. I also recalled it when I was an infant in my early few years. I have done since also but that is when I know it happened. So magical, wonderful & awesome.
I thank those who made this game possible to experience again. I remember the feelings! So real, in another body.

I really enjoyed this game, but wish it had more content. Feels unfinished and the mechanics leave me wanting more. It's not particularly challenging, more of a game you pick up to kill time and relax while immersing yourself in it's ambiance. I get a real mellow vibe while playing this sim.

Allora come iniziare...
