Don't let the shadows catch you!

The goal is clear: get as many points as possible and as far as possible without crashing into something or running out of solar power. Easier said then done!
Even though this game is as arcady as it can be, it never gets boring for a number of reasons:

  • The map regenerates every 24 hours, making it fresh and new every day you play it.
  • It's great to play when you're drunk or high and or with friends.
  • The controls are great and responsive and if you die, it's your fault so you never feel cheated

I highly recommend getting this game, even if you don't like arcade-style games, because this one really mixes things up! Challenge!

With Kairo like graphics and atmospheric sounds Race the Sun addicts you to itself. The game is based on a very basic mechanics and you don't need to challenge with it. There are three game mods in the game which two of them will be opened after leveling up. Game's map is updating daily so you are playing in the new world every day. Also there are some upgrades you can earn by completing missions and then leveling up. They are really helpful to beat your last record and discover new levels in the game's world. It was cheap in the sales so you must give it a try. Any arcade fan can easily like this game.

With a name like "Race the Sun" there's a certain expectation of speed that comes associated with it. Fortunatly, the game delivers on it excellently. Not only is the straight up speed high, but the split-second obstacle dodging, near misses, and sublime control make sure that the the entire game is a fast paced and exhilarating experience.

Addictive as hell. Minimalist graphics and gameplay, yet what few elements there are, they are done masterfully. Runs at high quality on the integrated graphics of a laptop; if you tote around one with a dedicated GPU, you don't even need to turn it on - you can play on-the-go without burning through your battery.

Even though sometimes you want the next map to just roll around already, I think the decision to rotate them once every day is very spot-on. It forces you to just relax, pull back a bit, and remember that games should be played in moderation.

A great game to play with the controller, I feel that this is the perfect game for casual racing if you are tired of playing something more complicated or you just want a quick high speed thrill (just the load time for this game make it good for this).

I also really like the idea of trying to out run the sun, kind of remember me the novel "Dying of the Light" from George R.R. Martin .

Really cool and fast paced twitch racer, somehow relaxing and exiting at the same time, and gets a good arcade feeling going.

Really cool game to pick up, play a few rounds and easy to drop and come back to.

Easily one of the best games I've bought this year.

Love this god dam game. I just got it today and i LOVE IT!! it is a racing/dodging game. It is very fast and you might find yourself crashing alot at the start!! The pros: Fun, fast, its quite cheap for £6.99 ( i got it for £2.09)

Cons: Can get repetitive. It is very fun but once you have mastered the level you have to wait 24 hours for the map to be different. I still reconmend this game to anone who want to buy it!

A relaxing yet challenging "minimalistic" arcade. The workshop adds a nice layer of content with the community added stages. There's not much depth here but the few things the game does it does very well!

It's good as long as you remember that your sole purpose is to race the sun. If you expect more you'll be let down, simply because there's nothing else to do (besides go for the achievements).

Race the Sun is a minimalist endless runner where you fly a solar powered ship towards the sun until you crash or the sun sets. You have challenges and level up in much the same way as other popular endless runners (e.g. Jetpack Joyride), but there are no microtransactions or ads in this PC game. It's a lot of fun, and addictive, kind of reminiscent of the original Star Fox in visuals. The game lacks polish in several noticeable areas (one of them being that my score usually doesn't get added to the leaderboard).

This game will eat your time. This is an incredible addiciting fast passed game about dodging obsticals and collecting power ups. The progression system is well put together and progression feels quick while you aren't feeling rushed through the game. The game play is quick, smoot and easy to get the hang of, but mastery takes time and learning of how things work and how maps are layed out. The different types of maps and daily layout changes gives this game a lasting appeal as well as an appocalypse mode which is very difficult but fun. Overall a fun little game that will entertain you for a decent amount of time.
9/10
