July 9th Hotfix: Server Updates

Hello everyone, and thank you for your support of Rocket League during launch week!

To be honest, it has been a monster on our server structure, with as many as 90,000+ players playing the game on PC/ PS4 at one time. As a result, we've been increasing capacity and making performance upgrades as quick as we can.

Today's Hot Fix begins the first steps in improving the online and matchmaking experiences. Thanks again for your patience and your help.

And now, here's a log of the Hot Fix Deployment Process in reverse chronological order:

7:20 PM PT: Situation Normal. We're All Fine Here Now, Thank You. How Are You?
6:56 PM PT: Status Improving. Approx. 94% Matchmaking Success
6:21 PM PT: Reliability Increasing. Approx. 65% Matchmaking Success
5:43 PM PT: Issue Persists. Approx. 40% Matchmaking Success. Servers Possessed?

So, what makes this vehicular football game so great?

- Great gameplay
- Marvelous graphics
- Very competitive
- Alright singleplayer
- Tons of customization
- Easy to pick up, hard to master
- Up to 4-player splitscreen (!!)
- Cross-platform
+ Much more to experience for yourself!

Cons:
- Servers were pretty bad to begin with, but that's fixed now tho', so this should not count as a con.

Everything else that I would have written as a con, is currently being added, so I have no complaints about this game at all.

Review is based on current state of game.

Game Pros
• Highly Addicting
• Split Screen Multiplayer
• 60 FPS (Its capped, but unlockable if you really want more frames. But 60 is just swell)
• Supports In-game voice/text chat
• Low ping (Make sure to select your region in the server filters)
• Clean Interface
• Smooth Gameplay
• Customizable cars (You can even give them hats!)
• In-game replay recorder (Just hit "save replay" after any match)
• Incredible visuals
• Controller support (The game suggests to use a controller, but honestly, the keyboard works perfectly. All preference)

Game Cons
• Slight lag after letting go of the VoIP button (F)
• No punishment for players abandoning a match
• Reports of crashing/freezing while watching replays
• Has the chance of crashing/losing connection after a round if you're in a group and not the party leader

Relateable Games
• Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Power Battle-Cars

Conclusion

Rocket League is an amazing game. You know those games that you play while you should be going to bed? That's this game. Only 90 minutes into the game, and i've already had so much fun with it. I would honestly reccomend this game to anyone. Unless you REALLY hate soccer, and you simultaneously REALLY hate cars.
