This can be a strangly entertaining game. I'm 8 hours into it and there isn't much point as far as I can tell, other than building and selling skyscrapers.. as it's name would imply. Honestly, even the focal point of the game, the construction process, is short sighted in that there simply isn't enough mechanics or substantial penalties for certain things so the aftermath tends to get somewhat stale because due to lack of challenge. The graphics aren't impressive but do the job just fine. In fact with a shader overhaul it could look nice.
Having said that, for some reason I keep playing it. For me the best part of this game is watching my money grow. Which in and of itself can rapidly dilute the game as the financial burdens disappear when you've accrued 8.4 billion dollars.
Some more specific points of the game include managing how many workers are assigned to any given task or crew such as foundation workers, or a dump truck crew.
There are three (3) different stages of construction: excavation, foundation, and construction. During the excavation stage you'll notice that it doesn't really matter how many excavators you have, only one (1) Earth block will be removed at a time and as far as I can tell, at the same pace.
The foundation and construction stages take the longest to complete. You may slightly notice the progress multiple dump trucks can make, but it's not by large margin.
During these last two stages, the more man power you can afford, the better and faster things will go. After your building is constructed, you can either set a renting price, or a selling price.
Unless I've yet to discover something, that's pretty much all there is to it. Happy gaming!
