About This Game

Dungeon Dashers is a fast-paced turn-based dungeon crawler, bringing the enjoyment of a tabletop board game with friends to the PC. The game's design streamlines the core dungeon crawler experience to its essentials, for an intense, loot-grabbing adventure.

Accumulate wealth by smashing boxes full of gold, slaying monsters, and looting glowing chests. Use your gold to buy consumables to boost your abilities or craft upgrades for your equipment. Find new swords, bows, staffs, spells and other equipment hidden in chests obscured by challenges and quests.

Current Features

These are the features that are in the current build of the game so far:

  • Tactical and diverse combat mechanics
  • Epic dragon boss battle and over 15 enemy types to face (many more bosses to come, and more enemy types)
  • Custom loadouts for each class based on loot found in dungeons
  • 13 unique player skills (30 skills planned)
  • 11 levels spread out across 5 environments (40 levels planned)
  • More than 15 unlockable pieces of unique equipment including swords and armour (30+ pieces planned)
  • Level editor with user campaign creation support
  • Original full-length chiptune soundtrack composed by Nathan “Derris-Kharlan” Antony
  • Compelling narrative and character dialogue spanning the entire campaign

Planned Features

Dungeon Dashers is still in development and we're adding new features every day. Here's what we've got planned for future builds:

  • Hardcore mode for those who finish the game and want more of a challenge
  • Online co-operative gameplay for up to 4 players
  • Consumable items, such as potions
  • Weapon upgrades using the gold you've found from looting
  • Steam Trading Cards
  • Steam Achievements

After heavily delayed patches and an announcement that the game would be completely redeveloped in a different engine, the developer has moved on from this project. This game is dead and will likely never see any further support. DO NOT BUY.

Game is dead.
More than a year ago, the devs stated that it would be remaking the game on unity... more than a year go!

I would not bother.

Long story short, the developer is a SCAMMER who raked in what he could from this piece of vaporware, then went on to work on a mobile game that is obviously making him money: http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/jan/13/crossy-road-mobile-game-million-dollars

For reference, Andy Sum is the guy who should have made Dungeon Dashers.

Sadly, I almost believed he meant to finish this game. Last two updates were in February and September 2014. You can all see why this is never getting finished.

Andy Sum is a scammer and a fraud, please don't buy this and give him more free money for something he doesn't intend to finish.

Mainly posting a review now because I can't believe Steam still has this game up for sale.

It has been abandoned for over a year and only recently the developer mentioned he would come back and finish it after he was away for a year making and working on a sucessful mobile game. I would not recommend anyone purchase this game till that happens and it is fully released.

One of my first early access purchases and the reason I no longer deal with early access.

What's available in the game so far is enjoyable & has a polished feel to it. Gameplay is intuitive & easy to learn. It's also, at the time of this writing (Feb 2), over in about two or three hours. The game has been around in early access since late October. The first update was two weeks later. There has not been an update since.

First there was going to be an update "very soon". Three weeks later, it was "this week". The game remains unchanged, with no signs it has been worked on, aside from the dev saying as much. I have trouble recommending a game that can't keep up with its own schedule, & I certainly can't advocate spending money on an unfinished product that has remained stagnant for this long.

Wait until it's finished, if that ever happens.

Wait till this game is finished! 2 updates I think since its been out and devs always saying next week, or later this week. Save your money and get another game till this one is finished.

Devs like these give Early Access a bad name.

The game is exactly what I was looking for when I first bought it...but seriously...there's no updates, nothing...I'd say, stay a way from it untill there's some news from the devs

Has been in early acces for 2 years. Had some interesting game mechanics for a turn based game but the dev wandered off to make a mobile game instead of the game they already started. Now they return with promises of "remaking" it in Unity so even if it's completed it won't be the game that currently exists on the Steam store. Do not buy.

The game is abandoned.. What the ♥♥♥♥.. What a scam.. I payed 15 € for it.. This is one of the game abandoned by their so called "developers" which do not have any work ethic (or generally any ethic at all) toward consumers that made me decide to not buy early access games any more at all.

The guy behind this game, Andrew Sum, is a complete jackass. He essentially spat in the faces of everyone who supported him and abandoned this games development. The game was fun and promising, practically guaranteeing hours of gameplay and content, until Mr. Sum decided it appearently wasn't worth his time. If Minecraft is a shining example FOR early access games, then this game is a shining ♥♥♥♥ stain against it.
