“7 Days to Die achieves exactly what it sets out to be. It’s a fun and intense post-apocalyptic sandbox with all the right mix of base-defense, scavenging, and exploration.”
8.3 – {LINK REMOVED}

“7 Days to Die is like Minecraft with Gravity. Building defenses with friends and huddling in the corner hoping no zombies get through can be great fun. But what keeps me coming back to the game is the TNT.”

“7 Days to Die looks genuinely impressive, and I can’t see this not making a huge impact when it arrives.”

This is one of those games I purchased in Early Development and expected WAAAAY more from. Not saying they can't deliver, but I would be surprised.

Pros:
Minecraft like crafting and building environment with zombies.

Cons:
The graphics are better than minecraft, but not good enough to inspire real terror.
There are only a handful of zombie types and skins on the zombies. So they get boring quick.
The environments are drab and dull.
Even with mods, this game doesn't provide many hours of quality gameplay.

I bought this game on the summer sale, it was completly worth it! I joined a random server..started gathering stuff and got the hang of things, i managed to build a pretty decent base. I met this other person, i found him in my house stealing things so i killed him, i thought things were fine and countinued on with getting mauled by the bear, but the guy came back so i decided to make a deal and we ended up surviving together it was fun until day 7...a massive horde of zombies attacked us, i didnt even know there were so many types like that spider zambie. i managed to do better than him cause i only died twice. I kept playing till one day the guy was gone, i felt sad but whatever, a few days later i was digging some dirt underground and i finaly got to the one on top...i regret breaking that one becuase once i did a bunch of people dropped in like a swat team and basically i got shot to death...i didnt know that it was some hardcore pvp server :( so i lost all my stuff! they destroyed my bed and i spawned in kilometers away, it took about an hour to get back and than i got shot again. The point is buy this game cuase its so fun even tho you get shot to death,

In my opinion 7 Days to Die is arguably the best sandbox survival game ever made. If they ever add electric circuitry to the game it would be a wrap. The day that happens Minecraft can close up shop. No other game that I've ever played can even come close to the near perfection that this game is. Everything that a sandbox survival game this game has and more. From building to crafting to actually having to defend your base 7 Days to Die is a sandbox lovers paradise.

I cannot recommend this game. After trying valiantly for 25 hours to MAKE IT WORK, I have to give up, and that's a LOT more hours than this game deserves. I should've quit after the first game because no amount of "experience" makes you any better. The game constantly fights with you over basic gameplay. I only ever die when the game screws up--the physics going haywire, falling off a ledge, collision stickies... If the game were just hard, I would have managed it by now, but no, it's not about learning how to play, it's an endless series of bugs and bad gameplay that make it ultimately impossible. Sure, if you're willing to spend 1000 hours, investing in building a base, with a bunch of friends, it might be fun--eventually. NOT when developers fix the bugs, but when you've finally learned how to work around all of them.

AND ANOTHER THING! 25 hours and not a SINGLE achievement? Bah... Why do I waste so much time on games like this?

I dont think the game is worth the price their asking. Yes its updated, but 3 years since its release date and its still not out of early access. It really would be better than Dayz if it werent for that bull ♥♥♥♥. How can you release a game for a console before your pc version has even gotten out of "early access". can you even call it eearly access any more if its been 3 years

I played this game for a total of about 5 hours now and my adentures have been great. First, my friend thought that you could get gas from hitting a gas barrel and exploded me and my bed. It took me about 20 minutes to swim back only to randomly die and have to swim back again. We robbed a bank and built a house on the roof, then my friends set out on a great bear hunt. After much struggling, my friends killed the bear, only to have one of them run into his own spike and die. Next, we had to prepare for the super wave that comes on the seventh days, which basically consisted of us covering the entire bank in spikes and then sitting on our roof. At approximately 21 hours, the wave washed up against our spikes like the Americans on D-Day, and we watched and listened to the terrifying chorus of zombies and mutant dogs crying in pain. As the sun came up, we saw almost a hundred corpses lying against the spike wall and the few zombies remaining were spinning around having PTSD flashbacks. 10 out of 10 would commit mass genocide again.

Was found by zombies and ran into a random house on the street screaming into the microphone for assistance from friends.
Then proceeded to stay in a dark corner of said random house and cried as I went from "sensed" to "unsensed" for the next 10 minutes.
Friends found me, but was too frightened to come down until Day 3.

You could say that I'm a wimp.

---------------------------------------------------------

Gameplay

Okay, okay, in all seriousness, 7 Days to Die: The Survival Horde Crafting Game is a great game that I, personally, needed time to form an opinion on. My friends loved the game from the get-go, but it took me several play through's to even begin to appreciate the quality of the game at hand.

You start out in a vast open world where you need to, you guessed it, survive. Zombies in Hawaii-themed shirts are after your delicious brain and the dogs are not your friends. I repeat, the dogs are not your friends (I made the mistake of thinking they were).

Like many other survival games before it, your job is to build a suitable enough environment in which you can live out the rest of your post-apocalyptic life in (I'm guessing that is the purpose, I've never really survived that long...) Anyways, there are many items at your disposal and the possibilities are endless. Based off of the discussions in the forums, there will be more options in the future which only enhances the quality and price of the game. The developers are, from the looks of it, more than willing to listen to their player base which is definitely a huge plus.

---------------------------------------------------------

Pros
+ I can pretend I'm in The Walking Dead
+ Amazing replayability value here, all for a decent 24,99$ pricetag
+ Offers a "cheat mode" which, of course, makes things much easier. Still provides hours of entertainment
+ Very fungame to play with friends - I've already lost so many hours playing this, it's ridiculous (but clearly not as many hours as many others! That just proves how great this game is)
+ Fun Pimps, the developer's, are amazingly responsive to their fan base. They roll out updates in a timely manner and are always working to better their product. You can't beat that kind of dedication
+ This game is truly terrifying at times. It doesn't have a "horror tag", but I think it really deserves one. Then again, my threshold for scares is dangerously low... this game has been known to terrifying my most manliest of man friends though!
+ Graphics are great - they have improved vastly since it was first released. If you can, play it on high graphics (you will have to restart the game if you change during the middle of your gameplay. Otherwise you will see chrome, neon, and black figures instead of a human being, etc.)

Cons
- Would like to see some improvements to defensive measures: items, like the spikes, prove to be too ineffective at times (zombies can glide over sometimes)
- So many optimistaion issues; so, so many... the game has been plagued with lag since the beginning, and I hoped that it would've improved by now, but alas, it hasn't
- Can there be some achievements and trading cards? I know this is "not the mark of a true gamer", but I truly enjoy this game and would like to have a flashy badge to prove it
- Can there also be some "bandits" and "rivals"? Likewise, it would be nice to have other "survivors" that you can pick up along the way. They can either be persuaded to join your group or become enemies... Am I fangirling over The Walking Dead too much? Whoops.

---------------------------------------------------------

I've been playing this game since it was first released: from the basic blocks, lagfests, and terrible graphics, to its now far more superior quality and number of improvements. While I don't have the hours to prove it (since a lot of time was spent offline), this is a game that I absolutely adore.

In the end, 7 Days to Die has a lot to offer and at a more than decent price, lives up to expectations. With more updates coming along the way, and a sufficient player count, you honestly can't go wrong with this title.

Overall
8/10

Beware every 7th day... you have been warned.

I've played this game for some time and i have to tell you: You get what you paid for.
The game is not some epitome of well-madeness, but it will keep you entertained for a while.
Pros:
- Not too easy neither too hard to progress in the beggining.(It's easy to get started but the starting stuff is not all that useful)
- Big Maps and a decent excuse for their limits(i only found a limit that you could walk past but then you'd die with radiation)
- Nice control/crafting
- Zombies are slow enough so that you can hit them and retreat before they hit you
- The game marks the place you last died on the map so that you can get your items back
- Additionally, if you die it's not difficult at all to get new basic tools/clothes/weapons, should you die too far from the respawn.
- When you crouch, you can see wether you have been detected or not by zombies.
- The game is very "realistic", almost anything can be used as a weapon.
- There are [daily(can be changed)] airdrops with useful stuff.
- The game really puts you in control of the stuff you need to be in control while not letting you change at all the things you shouldn't have the ability to.
Cons:
-(maybe this was my pc) The game is visually monochromatic, and you will get bored after a while
- The single player mode gets tiring after a while.
- Zombies are really strong and will break even forged steel in one night, making it very hard to properly build your base and be safe.
- Zombies are also tough, so hitting them on the head with an arrow does not kill them
- There are very few weapons in-game, but it's still early access
- Some items are very fragile(A wooden club -The basic blunt weapon- will break after 20 hits or so)
- The temperature seems a little over the top to me(If you wear too much on a hot area or too little on a cold area, you get penalties.)
Neutral:
- Creative mode(access to all items) can make the game a little too easy, but it's fun to test and you can disable it if you like.
- There's the option to loose your whole backpack or just your toolbelt upon death
- This is not your usual hack n' slash game, and if you don't time/aim your attacks you WILL get hit by zombies.
- They have put some real effort on the realism part, to the point where carrying raw meat attracts zombies.

Some tips:
- Try and find one of those old decrepit houses to make your base. It's easier to fix them than to create one from the ground. Also, when you do find one, make sure you build a second floor that can only be accessed via ladders. This will protect you even if zombies break through your walls, as the vast majority of zombies cannot climb ladders.
- Avoid going out at night until you have a mining helmet, a nightvision goggle or a gun with a flashlight', because the torch is really weak as a weapon and you won't see a thing without a source of light.
- Gather as much wood as you can during the day and make spikes around your base. This will cripple most zombies, making it easier for you to kill them.
- Make sure to get a lot of iron(can be mined from rocks) too, as you will need it to make your walls be even worth something if there's ever a horde chasing you.
- Don't forget to hunt animals. The give you animal hide, animal fat, meat and bones, and all four are very useful.
- Search everything and anything that is searchable. If you kill a zombie, loot the body and the destroy it to get the bones. Waste is not something that this game forgives.
- Remeber to leave stuff at your base before venturing off scavenging. Your inventory is limited and you will run out of space quickly, even you don't have anything on your backpack upon leaving your base.
-Always carry a source of light with you, sometimes there's not ime to make it home and you DEFINITELY don't want to get caught outside without light.

Day 1: This is pretty cool, like Minecraft with zombies and better graphics!
Day 2: Sweet Jesus the map is pretty damn big!
Day 3: Why did I spawn in this damn wasteland.....
Day 4: That's a big group of zombies, I should check it out.
Day 4.5: That was a terrible idea...
Day 5: Hey I got some guns!
Day 6: Well, it's one more day until the "horde" comes.
Day 7: I should buy a boat.
Day 7.5: How the crap did all of the zombies burrow under my house!?!?!
Day 8: I honestly have no idea how any of that happened and how I survived.

This game is outstanding. It's challenging, intriguing and fun all in one. I've died a good number of times because of dumb mistakes (see day 4...) but when you are able to make it through each of the horde days it's just satisfying. I haven't spent as much time playing as others, and I'm only through about 20 something days but this game is just fun. It would be even better if I could set up my own server and have a few friends in it and all of us were playing together.

I'm looking forward to see what the future updates and actual release of the game look like.

Is it fun?
Do you like Surviving, Scavenging, Crafting, Hiding, Fortifying, Building, Mining, Exploring, BS underground physics, and crazy player made fortresses in true minecraftian style?

If so, this game is worth trying. You may or may not like it, but for those who don't mind this game's current shortcomings, it's a hell of a good time. Especially with friends.

I played this game with friends and solo ( mostly the latter ). And i found that both satisfied me enough to keep me going. Alone makes the game hell of a challenge, especially to past the first horde night (7th day) and yes, you will die alot and give up alot, but every time you play, it is never the same experience.

Playing with friends makes surviving harder, due too food & water depleting fast, without good water sources ( eg. lakes / rivers ) and good hunters, the team wont last long :).

More food = More cook = More heat = MORE SCREAMERS WILL ATTACK

Pros : Alot of content, Alot of ways to play, Every playthrough is different, Fun in both solo & multiplayer, levelling system is good, Challenging enough, New updates arrive oftenly

Cons : No auto sort button for inventory & chest

So we have developer who obviosly releases a full product on the consoles and yet its still early access aka alpha on pc. How about finishing the game on pc and give people who actually supported and funded your game a finished product. I am sick of oh here a patch and we will wipe all your saved progress is this ever gonna get finished.

I played this game for two years. Ran perfectly fine. Problems were extremely minimal. Until update 14.3 came out. It hasn't worked since. After several months of trying to figure out why the game would crash when I join a server, start a new game, or try to load one, I figured out the problem. The problem is 7 Days to Die. Instead of actually improving the game's system stability, the developers have kept changing features around, adding features, removing features, and so on. And with each new update, the game seemingly works for less and less people. And to top it all off, its getting a console port. A console port for a game that barely funcions. I've waited and waited, hoping that each new update will be the one that fixes it and allows me to play one of my top played games on steam. But with each new update, i care less and less. With this new update, my f***s given count has reached zero. I'm uninstalling this game. Goodbye 7 Days to Die. Maybe I'll see you again in 2076 when you finally get a completed release.
