“7 Days to Die achieves exactly what it sets out to be. It’s a fun and intense post-apocalyptic sandbox with all the right mix of base-defense, scavenging, and exploration.”

“7 Days to Die is like Minecraft with Gravity. Building defenses with friends and huddling in the corner hoping no zombies get through can be great fun. But what keeps me coming back to the game is the TNT.”

Building on survivalist and horror themes, players in 7 Days to Die can scavenge the abandoned cities of the buildable and destructible voxel world for supplies or explore the wilderness to gather raw materials to build their own tools, weapons, traps, fortifications and shelters. In coming updates these features will be expanded upon with even more depth and a wider variety of choices to survive the increasing dangers of the world. Play alone or with friends, run your own server or join others.

7 Days to Die development was launched following a successful Kickstarter campaign in August 2013, demonstrating the initial prototype. Joining us in early access now will help support the cause and ensure continued expansion of the development team, their efforts and the planning and addition of even more features and depth eagerly awaited by fans.

Many of our fans have commented in these early stages that they feel we are building the survival\zombie game they have always wanted. Our goal is to live up to this as much as we can and build a customizable, moddable game that allows users to fine tune their survival and zombie experience to create the experience players and their friends want.

  • Random World Generation - Play Navezgane or roll the dice and dive back into the game with friends in a randomized world with huge cities, towns, rivers, lakes, mountains, valleys, roads and wilderness locations.
  • Create and Destroy - The world terrain, structures and items can be destroyed or scrapped for resources. Re-purpose collected materials to build custom structures and fortification by hand, placing building pieces into the world in real time.
  • Terrain Enhancement - The terrain is now both smooth and natural but can still be destroyed and mined.
  • Upgradable Fort Building - Player built structures are assembled from framework which can be upgraded supporting wood, scrap metal and cobblestone upgrade paths. Hammer away just like real building and use Land Claim blocks to protect your fort in PvP.
  • Structural Integrity - Buildings and terrain formations which are too unstable can fall apart if proper supports are not built. Some building materials are stronger than others and pieces which break off and fall can be dangerous or deadly if they fall on you or enemies.
  • Item Crafting & Degradation - With a continually growing list of over 250 recipes, gather resources such as plant fibers, wood and metal to create weapons and tools such as hand made crossbows, knives and hammers. As your tools wear out over time, use your crafting skills to repair them.
  • Plants and Animals - Locate seeds to plant and grow vegetables, and head out into the wilderness to hunt animals once the cabinets in abandoned buildings are already plundered.
  • Stealth System - Sneak past zombies who can see, hear and smell you and smelly items in your inventory and throw rocks to distract them.
  • Buff/Debuff System – Enjoy or deal with a multitude of buffs or debuffs like a caffeine buzz or a broken leg in our rapidly growing Buff/Debuff System.
  • Cooperative Mode - Tired of zombie apocalypses that are more about fighting humans than zombies? Team up with your friends to work with other survivors rather than against them, using group efforts to build settlements and safety.

(Features in various stages of development, which will be added as the project progresses)

  • World Building Tools and Mod Support - Greatly expanded creation tools for players to create their own apocalypse for them and their friends, including Steam Workshop support.
  • Character Customization - Choose unique character skills and perks, what your character looks like and choose which clothing and gear to equip them with.
  • Drivable Vehicles - The cars in the world have long since decayed, but you may find enough raw parts to build a custom ride.
  • Skills System – Earn XP and upgrade your skills to become the ultimate Bruiser, Gun Nut, Gadget Man, Chemist or Stealth Agent.
  • Missions & Story Points- Do favors for NPC characters in return for experience and rewards, and learn more about what has happened in the world.
  • Infected Wildlife - Wildlife can become infected. There will be bears. Zombie bears.
  • Virtual Reality Headset Support - For the times when wandering through the woods at night isn't quite scary enough.
  • Environmental Temperature - Find shelter or build a campfire. Cold nights or long days in the desert will make a difference.
  • Weather Effects - The weather will change, and it may influence your survival.
  • NPC Characters - Stumble upon the occasional computer controlled character. Talk, trade or engage them. Locate safe houses controlled by them.
  • Professional Soundtrack & Voices - For those who prefer mood setting music to go with their game, and professional screaming.

"COMPRARE ASSOLUTAMENTE!" ... questo è il riassunto di tutta la mini-recensione qua sotto.

a me piacciono i giochi di zombi e i giochi survival: 7 days lì racchiude entrambi in maniera perfetta!
ho passato ore intere a giocarci e a ogni ora ero sempre più elettrizzato e gasato.

a 7 days to die ci sono degli imperativi da rispettare per vedere l'alba del giorno dopo:
- DEVI trovare il cibo;
- DEVI trovare acqua potabile;
- DEVI farti delle armi;
- DEVI farti del materiale da costruzione;
- DEVI trovare gli elementi per produrre le suddette cose;

7 Days to Die is by far the best FPS Zombie Survival game ever made, if George A Romero had a threesome with Minecraft and Rust, this would be the love child.

I've been looking for a realistic zombie game for a while now, and while this is not perfect (headshots don't always kill, very few improvised weapons, you can cure yourself, etc.) it's pretty close, and it's in Alpha anyways so it's subject to change.

It's pretty darned satisfying when a biter steps on one of your mines for the first time, and it's not to difficult to take out a few of them even starting out after you get the crossbow. It's also pretty cool to build up some deffences like sharp sticks and stuff and watch the bastrids kill themselves at night.

The learning curve is pretty steep though, so you may want to look at some videos or whatever before you start.

Starter tip: Make a stone ax (stick, from punching a bush; plant fiber, from punching grass and crafting it up; and a sharp stone, made from a small stone you can find on the ground). It's an ok starting weapon (though you may want to trade it in for an iron/spiked club when you get the chance), and you can use it to chop down trees and dig clay to make molds for ingots.

Bonus starter tip: Get a ranged weapon (a crossbow works) or make a good melee weapon (at least an iron club) before you barge into a house looking for loot. As a matter of fact, don't barge in. Wait for the zeds to come out and then snipe 'em.

Anyways, it's damned fun and *mostly* bugless as far as I can see. Worth the price too, but if you can't afford it then you could probably wait for a sale. Then you should deffinitely get it.

7 days to die, October 17, 77 hours played, will continue playing today at 17:00

Its really hard and scary in the beginning. All those growls, whispers in the wind and many other sounds that you hear the whole time. But you somehow get used to it and start to ignore them as the days go by.

Started alone in Navezgane on medium level. Was like a real hell. Died 7 times a day. I was really thinking about quitting this game.

Then started to play with a mate. You gotta learn from your mistakes and find ways to overcome obstacles - thats probably the best part of the game. Switched to harder level in about 7 real life days and after another 7 days we realized we need even more challenge. Dieing once in 7 days is no fun at all while sitting on tons of supplies...

Now playing on random generated map, 70 zombies and all furious and running the whole time, hordes unlimited (0 setting). Thats when you get the real taste of it!
Just like a first day in game - you can only survive for more than 3 hours on hills or in desert (thats where they cannot catch you if you use the setting that they are always running).
We managed to build a little tower on 3rd day and it was almost destroyed the same night.
No food except cactus and blueberries,.. Few bottles for tea... Have not found any metal tool yet... Scared to think about visiting a town or green zone...
Man, only now i come close to understand what zombie survival genre actually means :)

Truly more satisfied with 7 Days to Die as time goes on. A rare thing for early access,
I have followed this game since early development. This game has came leaps and bounds above what it was before.
A true masterpiece in the "Sandbox" genre. Highly customizable difficulty keeps the game challenging when you become a veteran of 7DTD.
The development team really keeps their word on what they are going to implement. A rare thing in Early Access as I have come to learn. I've had fun playing this game for a long time now. Nearly 200 hrs logged ingame.
Truly the only Early Access game I feel more satisfied with as time went on. Thank you The Fun Pimps! You guys really do pimp out the fun! =)

I thought I'd take a bit of time to review this game since it's occupied nearly 300 hours of my life!

I'm a huge survival fan... horror is a bonus, but the idea of being alone (with or without friends) on a barren wasteland looking for food and supplies to survive really appeals to me. I've tried a few of the genre out there but nothing else has a hold on me quite like this one.

I like to play aesthetically pleasing games, and while I have no unrealistic expectations when it comes to how a game looks or feels, this game delivers for me on all fronts. I've never played minecraft for example for the simplistic look it holds... missing out? expect so.. but nevertheless, its part of what I need to feel immersed.

So what's different about this game? Well it's covering a lot of ground, from finding food, to staying safe, building, farming and a whole host of other stuff to learn and explore. It has melee and projectile weapons which really appeals to me.. theres a time for stabbing zombies in the head, and a time to just blow them away!

I like the fact some things are really hard to find... useful tools and weapons that once found you guard and protect and that the mood of the game shifts significantly during the night phase.

I could go on and on to list everything I like about this game, and while it's still in alpha I'm loving every minute of it. Sure there are some bugs and glitches, but overall this is definitely an alpha I'm enjoying.

If you like survival zombie games with a focus on building resources, weapons and bases, then I really would recommend you give this one a try. The updates are regular enough for me and a strong sense of acheivement in each one as they bring more rewards into the game. I will definitely be sinking as much time into this as I did with Skyrim (800+ hours so far).

Great work deserves great support.. I highly recommend you buy this today!

They ♥♥♥♥ing Ruined It. In the last update that came out they ♥♥♥♥ed up all the graphics, making the game look worse then games made 10, even 20 years ago. So yea, If your going to buy this game, go find someone who has the alpha version, its much better than this piece of ♥♥♥♥

Lost track of time and got trapped on the 5th-story balcony of an aparment complex over-night. While sitting in the corner and quietly crying, I managed to survive purely off of honey. After waiting out the entire night, I managed to dig my way out of the building using nothing but a rusty pickaxe and a shovel, only to get killed by an invincible dog, who despite taking 10 9mm bullets to the face, still managed to rip me to shreds.

Now for a real review.
Honestly, not as bad of a game as people say. They best way to describe this game would be as the zombie infected child of Rust and Minecraft. The graphics and play mechanics are very similar to Rust, but the mining, building, crafting, and fighting systems are nearly identical to that of Minecraft. If you're looking for a fun game to play with friends, and like the survival/horror aspect on a milder level, I would totally recommend this game. If you can't handle getting killed by invincible dogs like I did (Yes, the above story is true) then I would recommend that you do not purchase this game right now, along with any other early access game.

7/10 Will play again.

Spawn, get guns, shoot zombies and repeat, very boring.

This is what I would be saying about most zombie games out there, not this one, this one is different, and that is what makes it good. Let me explain why.

The main objective in 7 Days to Die is survive, obvious right? However, you don’t survive by only shooting hordes and hordes of hideous creatures with big guns and explosions; you need to survive by using whatever you find around you and utilising it to your advantage. This game brings survival down to the real basics. I like that. You spawn in a voxel based world, whether it be the premade world of Navezgane or an infinite randomly generated world, either way, you are immediately greeted with the looks of a previous civilization that was lost by war. You have to live in it.

There are four main fundamentals that you have to keep on top of, stamina, hydration, hunger and overall, health, the rest is up to you. Everything you find, craft and build in the world starts off by you scavenging and collecting anything you can find, this includes food, clean water and useful items, but you never know, that piece of trash could also be useful for something in the vast crafting system, you can even mine for ores and metals for the higher tier items that you will need.

You can find and build up your home in ruined buildings, out in the wilderness, up a mountain, where ever you want, that is the glory of an open sandbox game. You can build whatever want, where you want using a variety of materials including wood, stone and metal. But, you need to build it strong, build it well. WHY!? I hear you scream.

You thought you were safe, you thought everything was gonna’ be okay. Well guess what, you are not alone in this post-apocalyptic world, you are not the only one that survived the war. Remnants of life have been left behind and they are not friendly. This is where the ‘zombies’ come into play, left over mutants that were also spared their lives but not left unscarred and they are coming for you! You can run, but can’t hide for long, they will find you, you need defend your home and yourself. Yes if you want you can still kill horde after horde of zombies with big guns and explosions but you only have one chance, do it wrong, your nothing more and a pile of rotting flesh.

I highly recommend this game alone or with friends. Yes it’s an early access game and does have its bugs yet it is already in a very playable state with a lot to do and very enjoyable to play. Being an early access game, I hope to see this game grow with more additional features that expand the game play even more than it already is.

Best game I have played in a very long time. It is still in developement, but is better then anything most major game studios have put out in years. Easily.
- If you at all have interest in killing zombies then this is for you.
- If you at all enjoy immerisive survival(ie splinting your leg when you take a fall, drinking boiled water instead of water straight from a pond) this is for you.
- If you like exploration this game is VERY MUCH for you.
- If you like crafting/building games (ie minecraft) this game is right up your alley.
-Please note, this game will take you more then a half hour to understand. It is hard, you will die, a lot. Once you get your feet under you, and start procceding along the learning curve, the game opens up and is quite exciting. I have been playing avidly for over a week now and I am still being amazed by the content I am discovering and starting to incorporate into my play style. (ie farming coffee so I can go caffine crazy and sprint like a track star. etc)

Furthermore, it should be mentioned that when creating custom worlds to play in the user can extinsivly customize the game settings, tailoring the game to whatever is more entertaining for their particular play style and interests. (ie I have a friend who doesn't enjoy survial games, he plays it as just a FPS zombie horde slaying, exploration game.)

In conclusion, this game brings together aspects of a lot of games, in one package that functions quite well and provides a challenging, immersive, custimizable, and extremely fun experience. Expect to find your self playing this game significantly more then you may of anticipated. I sure have!

Let me start off and say this, I hate early access games! I tired multiple times to get into this game and HATED IT AT FIRST. That being said one night I decided to read a guide and see if maybe I didnt like the game because I didn't understand it. After that the game became pretty fun BUT when I convinced my friends to get the game THIS GAME BECAME LIKE CRACK.

PROS
______

+ Basically "adult Minecraft"
+ In-depth building system (way more so than Minecraft)
+ Customizable Difficultly settings!
+ Huge map / Random gen map
+ Hard! (It gives you a reason to keep playing after day 5)
+ Fun Co-op!
+ AT ITS CURRENT STATE IS VERY PLAYABLE
+ Already so much and hopefully much more to be added!

CONS
______

- Graphics are a bit of a turn off
- Do not spawn with friends at start (but after you meet up you can set spawn with each other)
- Zombies can sound close but be far and vise versa
- Online has many "sketchy" players, needs better anti-cheat
- Needs more player customization
- NEEDS MORE FREQUENT UPDATES!
- with friends is addicting as fudge
______

To sum up think about it like this...

Did you like Minecraft/Garrys Mod? Its alot like that but harder and more realistic.
Do you like survival games? This game can be set to a hard ♥♥♥ difficulty, personally I like my games hard.
Do you have friends and like COOP games? This is definatly one of the better ones.
Are you going to ease up on the game and take it for what it is rather than what its not? Good, you should do that.
Got 25 bucks? Buy it. Easily worth it.

This game for me is addictive. It basically does what every other openworld sandbox zombie game out there does, and actually does it right. Want a giant concrete fortress with barbwire, landmines, a moat, a comfy sofa, and snacks for days? Or what about a nice tree fort above a lake? Sure you do, and you can have it. Plant crops from potatoes, corn, berries, ect. Turn corn into fuel for your chainsaw and auger. Stockpile ammo you can create and load yourself. Make your own guns and explosives. Mine for minerals and ores to reinforce your palace of pain.

Oh and dont worry, game to hard or zombies to slow and weak? Customize it. Make them all run and hit Mike Tyson. Or shamble and throw a punch like Aunt Eddith. Not enough loot or to much? Customize it. Even decide how many times a supply drop is dumped to bail you out.

And as for zombies. You got your spitters, climbers, dogs, and sexy nurses, not including the creepy ones who drag themselves across the floor. Spitters rip down your structures by either decaying them with bile, or suicide bombing them with a guy full of mentos and Dr. Pepper. Spider zombies can climb your walls, and come through windows upstairs. The Zombie Survival Guide never saw them coming. Make sure you place your barbwire carefully. Dogs run you down and rip you to shreds like Lassie on steriods. And theres actually more variations depending on which biome your in.

Oh, lets talk biomes. You have Wasteland, my favorite, Desert, Forest, Plains, Snowy Mountains, and ive probably forgot one, but trust me there are plenty of biomes to survive in. And you can actually survive in just one biome without having to criss cross over them to find materials. My favorite place is the large Wasteland City. Plus the game now boasts random generated worlds.

The Fun Pimps (how can you go wrong with a name like that), are also looking to add vehicles, character customization and much more. So far updates have been regular as if they were on Metamucil.

Things i would like to see:
1. Steam Workshop Compatibility
2. Dynamic Weather (Rain, snow, nuclear winter, ash, ect.)
3. Random Events
4. Vehicles.
5. Canine Companions.
6. NPCs. Both hostile and non hostile.
7. Choosing what biomes spawn (so if i want all wasteland and burned i can choose).
8. Hatches. For secure bunkers.
9. Sewer system under the destroyed city.

'Another zombie survival game' - you.

7 days to die is a zombie survival game. Maybe it isn't fair to review this game seeing as (at the time of writing) it is in 9.2 Alpha version. But seeing as this review is mostly positive, it should be alright.

There's a few things about this game I'd like to talk about:
Gameplay
Graphics
Crafting
Zombies
Multiplayer
Pros and Cons overall.

Gameplay:
7DTD is a sandbox game. At the start of the game, you get dropped at a random place in the world. This can be one of four locations:
Snowy mountains
Forest
Deserted city
Desert
From there it is totally up to the player to decide what they want to do. To keep survivng the player will need atleast food and water. Shelter is optional but highly recommanded, seeing as zombies get stronger at night.
As player you need food and water to survive. You can also get infected, or get diseases like diarrhea. Ofcourse those things can be cured by things you find while scavenging.

Graphics:
In my personal opinions, the graphics aren't terrible, but they could be better. To be honest, for the graphics it has, it should be easier to run. Even on a high end pc it sometimes has lagspikes or crashes, wether this is because it's still in Alpha or not I don't know. Either way, don't excpect anything fancy.

Crafting:
Crafting is pretty big, most things you see outside can be destroyed and used for crafting. You can chop down trees, or chop down entire buildings and make them collapse. The remains can be picked up en used again for crafting.
Bushes, rocks, and grass are things that are mostly used in crafting, espescially at first, when the player is getting started. Later wood and stone become very important, for building a base.
Later, guns and armour can be crafted, But those require molds and blueprints
There's also a farming system, but I'm not a big fan of that. Just like real life the plants need time and sunlight to grow, but it just takes too long.

Zombies:
There's multiple version of zombies. Zombies are both called 'zombies' or 'walkers'
A few examples that you're going to see a lot are:
Bloated zombie: A fat zombie, does more damage, and takes more damage. Drops better loot as well.
Nurse zombie: A normal zombie, except she has more chance to drop medical items.
Zombie dog: Probably the most annoying type of zombie. Fast and does a lot of damage.
Snow zombies: Zombies that live in the snowy mountains. They are all a tougher than normal zombies.
Police officer zombies: They're like blaoted walkers, except they also have a ranged puke attack.

Multiplayer:
Unfortunatly, multiplayer doesn't really offer anything new. It's just a second you running around in the world, except he isn't controlled by you. You can track other players.
Also unfortunate is that you have to rent a server to play with others, but if you know how to 'port forward' you can host a server without charges. More info for that go here:

Pros and cons:
Pro:
- Fun to play
- Multiplayer
- Good crafting system
- Building is well done

Cons:
- More fun to play with others
- Once you've set up a stable base, which includes food, water, and protection, the game can get stale.
- Have to rent servers
- Game has lagspikes and sometimes randomly crashes

Overal I'd rate this game a 7.5/10, and it's still in Alpha mode.

Well gonna start by saying that ive been playing the game for 370 hrs.
And now i feel its no more to do, notthing more to explore, no more items to get.
I love the game but think it have to be changes in it for people keep playing it.

Things i think should be diffrent or added into the game is:
- More weapons and diffrent weapons
- More items like tools like (lawn Mower, Pitchforks, scramble, wheelbarrow, hedge Trimmer, saw)
Really so many items that you can add in this category.
- More building materials we need more to choose from
- More furniture to choose from.
- More zones (biomes) on the map now everything looks alike. (Darkwood zone etc)
- More prefabs like ( Airport, storehouse buildings, Docks, supermakets, mental hospital, hospital, firedepartment, school)
- Add more items to the game like ( Battery, generators, alarm, switch for lights, eletrical wires (so light can be used)
- Should be added more animals like ( Fish, Cow, Hourse, Goat, sheep, wolfs etc)
So you can build a real farm. Should also add more seeds to the game.
- Mini map should be added
- A button that you can click on to move all in ur inventory to a chest should be added (Or a command for this)
- Add some machines that you can build over time, for farmig and mining etc.
- Add so we can build traps in the game (trapdoors, beartrap, tripwire, and also more items for defence like ( Turrets, cannons, more and diffrent spikes.)
- Could add more diffrent looking Zombies to

Think the looks of the map could be better to, like the details in it, water now have only dirt or grass under it, could be added so it look little more real. (stones, fish etc)
I know this game is in Alpha phase still, and i don't mean anything negative with this, more like tips and ideas of what could be better.
I really like the concept of this game, that you are able to craft, build, shoot zombies and other players. Well done!
This game is awesome and get many stars in the book from me, i would highly recommend it!

Overall i think you need to give us more to do, more to explore.

Super buggy on Mac. Bad item textures are the least of your problems. The game is unplayable at the moment.

The concept and game are awesome, and whilst I'd love to recommend this game on Mac, I simply can't.

The game freezes (without fail) every 15-30 minutes. I have to 'Force Quit' everytime it does and then restart (losing all my progress). You can use console commands to remedy this and save your game manually every 15 minutes but it seriously detracts from the experience. Multiplayer also does not work. I understand that it is in Alpha but seriously, fix the game before you charge people $24 for it.

Devs! Please sort this!

This game has all the core features I have come to think of as desirable in a game.
- co op lan and online
- can build stuff
- can destroy stuff, fully destructable is great
- has tough enemies, but lots of control of difficulty settings
- is challenging and rewards creative thinking
- 3d world, fps and looks good for alpha
- extensive content, with more to come (story missions etc)
How does this game differ from say minecraft, well it's not blocky, the enemies are tougher, more varied and make more sense, (things dont teleport), the atmosphere (post apocolytic) feels more visceral.
It can often feel intense and demands that you work out what to do and prioritize what to do to survive.
Of the cons - there are some minor bugs and some things that don't look or work quite right, which it appears the developers actively work on whilst also refining and expanding the game. I recommend the game if you like this style of game.

Crafting, building your base just as you like with no limitations,PVP and zombis just a madness if you increase the dificulty of the game. SP you can activate cheat mode (unlimited props, noclip), so you can build your mega base just for making work your creativity and build skills! A lot of fun!
