About This Game

A fly ascends to the skies, pondering the pointlessness of its brief existence.
The Plan was developed as a side project by Krillbite Studio, who's currently finishing their main project Among the Sleep.

  • "Hey, You Should Play This"
    - Patrick Klepek, Giantbomb
  • "Some may argue that The Plan isn't really a game and it definitely occupies the same terrain as Journey, Passage, and Dear Esther, but it's shorter than Journey, prettier than Passage, and less overwrought than Dear Esther, making it well worth taking a punt on for the low price of free."
    - Jeffrey Matulef, Eurogamer
  • "It’s that space in the mechanics for thought and interpretation that I appreciate most here. The Plan won’t break your brain, but it’s a nicely contemplative journey."
    - Nathan Grayson, RockPaperShotgun
  • "In order, here are the emotions I experienced during the three minutes it took me to play The Plan, the new free morsel from the Norweigan indie developer Krillbite: confusion, frustration, boredom, fear, amusement, delight, joy, enchantment, and regret. One of the things independent games ask us to do is accept that a three-minute game can be as valid as a thirty-hour one. Games like these make it hard to disagree."
    - Joseph Bernstein, Buzzfeed
  • "Krillbite Studio, the developers behind Among The Sleep, have gone on and released a most polished, visually stunning and freeware new game"
    - Konstantinos Dimopoulos, Indiegames.com
  • "Krillbite's The Plan is a short, sharp experimental deliberation on the meaning of life."
    - Andy Chalk, The Escapist

Overcame all the obstacles...survived strong winds, spider webs, falling leaves, everything...only for it all to go to waste when the fly died in the end...

A beautiful game, devoted to the life of a single fly. This game is simple and calming, controlling a small fly to outerspace and the beyond. Once you have reached the limit and the fly has been reborn the game changes, it adds a nice new music soundtrack and the fly glows white. I would recommend this game to anyone that has nothing to do with their life and wants to control a fly. Although the fly can do sick 360 spins, trying to get the achievement in this game is so hard. Only experts can achieve................ Not really its pretty easy.

I am a fly.. how neat!

Personally not a bug person but I don't hate bug either.
So I played this game for 5 minutes.(1 run though).

Your path is going up in this game. As you leave the ground your fly become smaller and smaller. Avoid things lika spider web. But even if you are caught you can try to break free. There are also wind, falling leaf and many different objects that made this feels pretty real.

For a Free game it's quite worth it for quick 100% achievement. IT's got neat graphics with amazing sound effects. The music that was playing when you flys really high is quite dramatic.

I would recommend developer to try to make a VR game out of this. It will be cool.

7/10 for a free neat little fly game and easy 100%.

This game changed my life.

Not only was it a dazzling, beautiful masterpiece, but I got to fulfill my lifelong dream of being a majestic and most irritating bug that is in existence.

I highly recommend this. gr8/8

More of an experience - a short one - than a game, but delivers exactly as promised.

I guess what you get out of this, is going to be relative to what you put into it. I found it to be food for thought on a number of topics so it is interesting enough for me, even just for this reason

But I also find the graphics to be sweet, soundtrack to be one of zero-annoyance, and the ending was effective and well-placed to avoid monotony - and can add a new spin to your musings.

Replayability - well it is a kind of story without much ability to control it so once you have seen it, any replayability will come down to whether you will get more thought from re-experiencing it, and that is subjective - I will keep the game in my account because I would like to see what I get from it, or put into it, upon replay at some time.

And I did not feel that the price was unreasonable :)

I would recommend this as a short experience that may inspire some reflections, and I will be interested to see what more interactive and immersive creations the devs come up with.

Some games grab your attention by their fierce action gameplay. Some draw you in by the sense of an unforgettable adventure. Some take you by the deep lore surrounding the storyline. All take time and effort and determination to endure hours upon hours before you feel achievement and accomplishment by completing them.

This game pulls you in... and gently drops you back into society completely changed...

All in a matter of 5 minutes.

You have to play this game.

Nice methaphor, easy achievement, free. Only complaint is that once you finish the game will crash, but all things come to an end.
