About This Game

A fly ascends to the skies, pondering the pointlessness of its brief existence.
The Plan was developed as a side project by Krillbite Studio, who's currently finishing their main project Among the Sleep.

  • "Hey, You Should Play This"
    - Patrick Klepek, Giantbomb
  • "Some may argue that The Plan isn't really a game and it definitely occupies the same terrain as Journey, Passage, and Dear Esther, but it's shorter than Journey, prettier than Passage, and less overwrought than Dear Esther, making it well worth taking a punt on for the low price of free."
    - Jeffrey Matulef, Eurogamer
  • "It’s that space in the mechanics for thought and interpretation that I appreciate most here. The Plan won’t break your brain, but it’s a nicely contemplative journey."
    - Nathan Grayson, RockPaperShotgun
  • "In order, here are the emotions I experienced during the three minutes it took me to play The Plan, the new free morsel from the Norweigan indie developer Krillbite: confusion, frustration, boredom, fear, amusement, delight, joy, enchantment, and regret. One of the things independent games ask us to do is accept that a three-minute game can be as valid as a thirty-hour one. Games like these make it hard to disagree."
    - Joseph Bernstein, Buzzfeed
  • "Krillbite Studio, the developers behind Among The Sleep, have gone on and released a most polished, visually stunning and freeware new game"
    - Konstantinos Dimopoulos, Indiegames.com
  • "Krillbite's The Plan is a short, sharp experimental deliberation on the meaning of life."
    - Andy Chalk, The Escapist

Our lives summed up . We struggle to get our feet off the ground, confused as to what´s our purpose being here, the only thing you know is that you gotta find a way, you have to find your place.During your journey you´ll find yourself trapped, pushed from side to side, knocked down...but you gotta keep fighting, you know you have something to do, someplace to be. And just when you think you have overcome all your adversities you see that shining light...the one you´ve been coveting all along . You chase it , you know that´s the path you must follow to succeed . Without hesitation you go for it, you found your way, that´s where you´re meant to go,you found your place, it´s what you´ve been dreaming about all along. But then the closer you get to your goal you soon realize it´s not what you´ve been expecting all this time...but you got no other option, you can´t stop now.And then when you finally get there it´s all over, and it all happened so fast. You didn´t even had the time to enjoy all the small things that were there , you were so focused on following the path you thought YOU had chosen when in reality there was only one.

After reading the reviews, I thought that the fly just kept going up and up, forever.

And the first thought that came to mind was; "I'M GONNA FLY HIGHER THAN EVERYONE"

So I sat there. And flew. I flew up, and up, and up.

What I got at the end wasn't a victory. Nor a failure.

What I got at the end was art.

Beautiful art.

The Plan is not a game, It's rather short interactive experience. It will take you only few minutes to finish it.
As I see, for many people this game is something more than just a simple experience. It gives them some kind of mystical experience, even reveals the secret of life. It didn't give me so much. To be honest I was little bored of it. So why did I give it positive review? Because after all it turned out to a nice joke and I enjoyed it.

VERDICT:
It's free and it takes only about 5 minutes, so you have nothing to lose. Maybe you will find secret of life here or maybe you will laugh at the end. Or maybe you will be disappointed, who knows? But even in the worst situation you will listen to very nice music.
It's worth to find out.

This is not a game-it is a study in self-awareness of our own mortality and realization of the fact of death. We all inhabit this earth for a short time. It's how we live-not how long we live that matters the most.

I like it.A lot really.But-it is not a game.
