About This Game

Become an appraised bridge engineer and architect in Bridge Constructor. Create and design your own constructions and watch the cars and trucks pass over them - or see them fall and crash while your inferior creations collapse due to weight and the laws of physics!

Progress through numerous levels and build bridges over deep valleys, canals, or rivers. Stress tests reveal whether the bridge you build can withstand the daily stress of continual use from cars and trucks.

Choose between a range of materials for each individual bridge, such as wood, steel, cables, or concrete pillars. Use the appropriate materials and stay within budget to build the perfect bridge. The choice of materials enables you to build each bridge in almost infinite variety – your budget is the only limit.

So get on the drawing board and set your imagination and creativity free!

The Steam version also includes SlopeMania, a fully sized Add-On to the original game, bringing more levels, features, a new setting and much more.

The game was fun, don't ge me wrong on this. I am a big fan of this type of games. But I honesly think this game wasn't worth the money they asked. Plus the Dlcs

Maybe if the full set was for 10$

The idea is good, but the physic isn't impressive at all.

But yeah, it's a pretty interesting game but it's not the best of it genre

PRO:

+ Easy learning curve
+ Simple mechanics
+ Interesting puzzles
+ Achievements
+ Stats

CONTRA

- The game tends to become very difficult in the second half.( found some levels to be very difficult, although the one after those seemed very easy)
- Notice the lack of options and the fact that it looks and feels like a tablet game with better graphics.
- Some of the levels are too hard
- Not enough consistency in the later levels

Conclusion:
When you build something that actually stands, the feeling is quite unique

It all started at 8 pm
"i will finish this level and then stop, okay seriously this level only , okay i swear this is the last level "
And then i found out it was 11 am and i still havent slept, and the only reason i stopped is because my mom came and slapped me and took my laptop and kept playing the game.... wth...
( i actually have over 9 hours in this game but net went off and steam did not record the time )

This game has all the important features for a puzzle game
- Addictive.
- Fun
- Challenging.
- Creative.
- Unique.
- Time Consuming,
- Repeated music that fits nicely .

If you like physics based puzzle games when you build a bridge for the cars/trucks to reaches the otherside, this game is your target , its hard its fun and its not slow, building and changing and editing are fast, get more construction tools as you go.

Have the Bridge collection but yet to try the others but since i loved this one so very much i am looking forward for the next, only if they'd add trading cards that would be really sweet

I like pretending there are people in the vehicles, and i do their voices and send them falling down without building a bridge and making up stories on why there was no bridge and why didn't they stop

Bridge Construction Set (2002) by Chronic Logic is far more better in every aspect. They have trains, ships, and monster truck! You can even sit in the car and view how you cross (and might break) the bridge. You may also test for earthquake and control the light. It's the best construct game I've ever played.

This game is bad, compare to that game.

Not to compare with that game, however, this game is still bad. Most levels leave player no choice but to construct the bridge exactly same to the solution you found on web. There are too small test case, no run around for example. Speaking about arts, most of the time you'll force to build asymmetry bridge even thoug the envorionment is symmetry! And the most annoying is that the physics in this game is wrong, which degrade this aim-to-be-physics-savvy game to an electronic junk.

Played during an Indie-Game-Saturday event. So I have also officially played all three Brdige Constructor games. Overall, I really hate not recommending these games because they are fun, especially in a group (hot-seat style). I just wish that the developers would make better decisions (even with the material they have - not much more developing money would be necessary).

Pros:
1. Fun, wonky bridge construction that *mostly* follows logic
2. Medium level of game content

Cons:
1. Music is SUPER repetitive - especially since these are puzzles that take time
2. You don't so much learn to build bridges as you learn to 'play the game' or break the system lol
3. Medium level of game content
4. The game lacks overall creativity in challenges, levels, music, menu design, and basically everything. So much wasted potential here.

Very simplified bridge building with very strict guidelines -- but once you learn the trick (exploit really) of building hangbridges you can pretty much breeze through most of the levels.

As many negative reviews have said -- the physics are ♥♥♥♥ed up and random at best. You can run your cars through your would-be-bridge two times and the second might work.

Also the UI is.. well, very frustrating to say the least. It does the job allright but somehow feels very outdated with all too much selecting, deselecting, dragging, dropping -- something out of a mobile game really.

I got about three hours in and really it doesnt get any better from the first hour.

This game has a terrible physics engine, and ways of destruction. That is all that can be said about it!

Very repetitive, but still entertaining.

The game lets you turn off the music, but not the sound effects, so that's pretty frustrating.

Bridge Constructor is a game that highlights the dangers of government privatization. It allows me to play as a slovenly, morally-void government contractor building really ♥♥♥♥ty bridges for vehicles for a nation-state consisting of several islands. They have really low standards as to what a bridge is supposed to do, just as long as a minimum of total vehicles get across. Did the bridge collapse after those two cars got across? That's fine, they've already cleared the check and the remaining budget goes right into your slush fund. Smarter contractors than I will take advantage of the game's really weird physics engine to launch cars onto the exit point, therefore saving time, money, and more money. The government finds this acceptable, presumably because they like a good show and will think you are some kind of bridge circus man or wizard. So if you feel like screwing the taxpayer, why not give this game a go?

Experience the thrill of finally being an engineer in a glorified flash game that is way more fun than it should be.

Searing indictment of the negative effects that budget cuts can have on a nation's infrastructure.
