What the developers have to say:

“Thank you for checking out our Early Access page! If you support us now, you will be able to try out the combat mechanics in the arena prototype, duel your friends on the same machine by hooking up two controllers, and use the integrated level editor to explore and modify a number of included environments. You will be able to try out the features in the new alpha videos as soon as they are released.

However! The game is still undergoing very active development, so you can expect bugs and performance issues as the game progresses and changes. In its current state, it is more like a sandbox of technology and martial arts, and less like a story-driven action-adventure. If you want to play through a polished campaign, you may want to wait until the game is fully completed! If you would like to have fun experimenting with our technology and mechanics as they evolve, and support us as we complete the game, then now is a great time to join our community.

Sincerely,
David Rosen”

Stop reading the popular comments on this game never getting done, the devs have recently been employing more and more workers and the alphas are becoming more and more frequent. Exercise patience and buy on a Humble/Steam sale. Mid-late 2016.

This game provides fun hand-to-hand, fury vs fury combat. And that is something you want.
A wonderful game in that it delivers exciting fights, whilst generating a sense of intesity, haste and timing. Satisfyingly dispatch foes with a judo toss, trade gashes in a knife fight, or break your neck from a poorly timed dodge roll, mid-jump.

I just wanted to point out that this game is being developed by one man and is constantly being updated as you can see in the "news" tab. If you bought an early access game and are offended by it currently being in early access then you are not a smart man.

Got this game back in 2011 before it was on steam(played a few hours). If you look at the developers news feed(referring to todays date), from page 5 to 4 he had an update in 2010 and then took a break for 3-4 years and had an update in 2014(before 2010, he was fairly consistent). I'm starting to get suspicious about this guys intentions on finishing and I feel like he is giving early access a bad name considering the high price and the very slow development ~8 years total.

At least with other early access games, they are actively engaged with the community and letting you know the leaps and bounds they are going through while also communicating grand ideas and producing them. Not taking 4 year breaks between development even though tons of people backed this guy early on.

You need to realise that this game is never coming out. It's impossible. They haven't started on the actual game yet and the team they've put towards it is insanely small. And I assure you that anyone who's been working on the same project for 8 years will have zero passion left, and without that there is very little energy left to make a good product.

These guys are an embarrasment to game development. Despite the concept having been impressive and fresh 4 years ago, these guys don't know how to make games.

I've been trying this game on and off for years and finally tried on steam also, but nothing ever changes. They have taken roughly £3,000,000 (at least) and between a handful of them have obsessively focused on completely irrelevant aspects of their dated game engine, and have continously avoided facing the fact that they don't have the skillset to design a full game and have no idea how to manage and ship a professional product.

20 part time contractors finally being brought on 8 years into development is laughably slow and who knows what the results will be with a new and remote working team.

I'm told these guys run the humble bundle so you can guess where all their minds are. 8 years for a sandbox combat system? Appalling! I've shipped 8 AAA games in the past 5 years at various companies with many being hugely successful.

This latest build couldn't even load on my computer. When you turn on your console or your tablet and have games magically work smoothly and seamlessly and then see this buggy mess throwing up onto your desktop it leaves me lost for words.

This could be a career ender for these guys but they seem to be financially in a good place and are also screwing around with other projects rather than finishing this one.

Very dissapointed in what could have could have been a well meaning team making an innovative game. £30!? ARE YOU NUTS??
