What the developers have to say:

“Thank you for checking out our Early Access page! If you support us now, you will be able to try out the combat mechanics in the arena prototype, duel your friends on the same machine by hooking up two controllers, and use the integrated level editor to explore and modify a number of included environments. You will be able to try out the features in the new alpha videos as soon as they are released.

However! The game is still undergoing very active development, so you can expect bugs and performance issues as the game progresses and changes. In its current state, it is more like a sandbox of technology and martial arts, and less like a story-driven action-adventure. If you want to play through a polished campaign, you may want to wait until the game is fully completed! If you would like to have fun experimenting with our technology and mechanics as they evolve, and support us as we complete the game, then now is a great time to join our community.

Sincerely,
David Rosen”

An Early Access game still in it's very early stages (even though it has been in development for what... 8 years?) with basically no improvements or added features within the last two-three years. And it costs 30$.

Do I.. need to say more?

I've had this game purchased since it basically came out on steam. At the time, it was exciting and looked great. But as of now, it's easily forgotten about. The reason for that is the main feature of this project is its combat. Granted the fighting is still pretty nice, but once there's been next to no progress almost 3 years now (on steam alone). If there were more updates and some actual hope that the project would be done, I'd recommend hands down, but as of now, it's been in "development" for years. If you want to spend $30 for what is essentially a brawl combat simulator, then go right ahead. I just can't recommend a game with developers that haven't made much progress in this many years.

Sucks. I bought this game probably at least two years ago, and never once have I been at all impressed with any of the four or five subsequent updates. Seriously. I can count the number of updates they've made in 2 years on one hand. Minecraft had more, for Christ's sake. Once again, a team of developers releases their game as early-access and abandons it once they've gotten enough of our money. This game will never be finished. What really sucks is that it could be freaking amazing if they would bother to finish it, but no, I guess they think we'll be content to free run, screw around in an endless arena, and stare at a button for a story mode that will never be usable. The only way this half-♥♥♥♥♥ crapfest will ever be worth buying is if they lower the price below a dollar. Or finish it, of course. Hah. 0/10

Stop reading the popular comments on this game never getting done, the devs have recently been employing more and more workers and the alphas are becoming more and more frequent. Exercise patience and buy on a Humble/Steam sale. Mid-late 2016.

This game provides fun hand-to-hand, fury vs fury combat. And that is something you want.
A wonderful game in that it delivers exciting fights, whilst generating a sense of intesity, haste and timing. Satisfyingly dispatch foes with a judo toss, trade gashes in a knife fight, or break your neck from a poorly timed dodge roll, mid-jump.
