LEGO games are simply amusing.

They always seem to turn a franchise into a complete LEGO themepark, and this game's no exception.
And as usual with the LEGO games, they add a little slapstick in the cutscenes to keep it fun.
Really made for the lighthearted entertainment.

They did quite a nice job on getting the whole Marvel thing in.

I had tried other Lego games at friends, but this was my first lego game purchase of my own. Not only do i enjoy this game, but the fact you can play on the same keyboard or have 2 controllers and play locally with family and friends hooked me. I was satisfied playing through the linear missions to open some of the, over 100 character unlocks. So imagine my glee when right around the third mission an Open World Lego New York becomes available. Take cars, use any character you have opened, explore, side missions, custom characters, races, collectibles and 50 Stan Lee's to save. Since i got this on sale, it is currently my best gaming purchase of 2014. If you like lego games or the Marvel universe, this is a must have.

Highly recommend LEGO Marvel, I was blown away by LEGO Batman 2 when it came out but this is IMO a better game, not only is it a bigger game but you have more characters and more levels then any other LEGO game previously. Side quests are more varied than in previous games but some of the same types apply here, fetch/escort/race. Flying controls may be a bit weird to get used to but you should be fine with them eventually.

It took me 36 hours to 100% the game with every achievement/collectable and the story itself is about 9-12 hours.

LAST POINT, yes you can use a keyboard but I wouldn't expect a great gameplay experience as a controller is recommended. Do not expect online coop either, it's local only which means you're playing solo or getting friends/family to play with you by hooking up some controllers (or using the keyboard/mix of the two).

So yes this is definitely the best LEGO game currently out there right now.

If you're a LEGO Fan you owe it to yourself to play this, if you love Marvel then you'll enjoy it. If you dont like either, what is wrong with you?

One of my favourite LEGO games of all times! I played them all on consoles and this one is definitely my favourite because of the free-roaming and replayability oh and the lovely characters. There's plenty of side-quests aswell and you can play them any way you like either it be hero or villian or none and just want to ride there on a bicycle as Thor then thats good too!

Main quests involves being teamed up with movie-moments such as the avengers or fantastic four ect..the list doesn't end almost every LEGO scene has a funny movie moment that happend but LEGO makes it more funnier.

The graphics is something to admire aswell - they actually look pretty amazing when you tweak around the graphic settings (can cause lag on slow computers) such as entering the free-roam city.

If you have anger issues in games then this game would be perfect for you since it doesn't offer any challenge at all. If you want to release stress then play as the hulk and "Hulk Smash" everything you see in free-roam city that includes every citizen and vehicle you see.

Great fun when playing with a friend (local only) one can play as spider-man and the other green goblin and fight eachother in the free-roam city to bring peace or destruction. Play anyway you choose throughout the whole game.

In total - Great refreshing story mode, new game mechanics, new characters, new comedy and bigger yet.

The serie of Lego games are all pretty nice, and this one is not different.

The beginning of the story is linear and kind of boring, but a little after that point the game throws you in the open world and you can play the story when you want and start to explore the city.

The story is very nice and it keeps getting better until the end. There are a lot of jokes and funny moments for the children but even that is ok and it matches to the storyline.

I played the game without any DLC and there are A LOT of characters, heroes and villains, from Avengers to X-men to Fantastic Four... Everyone of them has an specific reason to be in the story and it is great, also after finish all the chapters you can change the characters at your will, which is pretty nice.

The gameplay is simple but very nice, you can fly with Thor or Human Torch, swing with Spidey, run over everything with Hulk, take vehicles like cars, boat and planes and everything works nice.

Besides the story there are A LOT of side missions, new characters and clothes to unblock, things to do in the city like races and help people and hidden items on the chapters that was impossible to get without the ability to change the character at any time. There are so many things that I completed the storyline and was only 20% of the game.

The voice acting is awesome, the sound is ok, but the soundtrack isn't the most remarkable thing you will hear, after a while playing it seems the same track all over again.

After all that, I'm sure that if you like the Marvel universe or Lego games or super heroes (who doesn't???) this game has everything for you have fun.

Lego Marvel Superheroes was my dream come true lego game. I always wished that there were a lego game about Lord of The Rings and a Marvel lego game after playing Lego Star Wars, because I really liked the relaxed and easy-to-access gameplay style. And then, multiple Lego games later, including Lord of The Rings, it is finally here. After multiple iterations, has the gameplay changed enough to justify the purchase?
Let's start with the controls. This is my first time playing a Lego game on a keyboard(I do not own a gamepad, sadface). The Lego franchise was definently made for controllers, which I definently noted playing this game. The default controls for moving and doing actions worked fine on a keyboard. My only problems with moving were with the flying in the free-roam section. The flyinf races were just plain annoying to do and caused lots of frustration. I accidentaly kept dropping out of the flying mode while trying to adjust my flight course. But the biggest problem with the controls were the camera controls. The default camera controls were really awkward to use, especially while fighting. I pretty much had to stop either moving or fighting to adjust my camera. This problem is resolved by using a controller, so it's not that big of a deal, but it's still not nice.
The gameplay is the same as in the previous Lego games. You control multiple characters do solve light puzzles and fight goons and villains. Which there is alot. I mean a lot, since there is a 100+ characters to play as. Many of the characters have special abilities to solve puzzles, such as Iron Mans rockets to blow up silver legos, Spider-Mans spider-sense to find hidden stuff and the list goes on. The game captures the feel of the characters through different animations and abilities, which is awesome. Mr. Fantastics animations are a definite plus. This game also includes the new Big-Figs, which include Hulk, Juggernaut, The Thing etc. They have their own things only they can do, which is indicated by green handles. They are a nice inclusion, and fit nicely to the regular sized figures.
The game ofcourse has a ton of collectibles, which are fun to collect. You could say it's addictive. Those are going to take most of your time, since the campaign isn't all that long if you turbo through that, like I did.
In the end, the game is lots of fun to play. I didn't notice any bugs or glitches, which I cannot say for the previous lego game, Lord of The Rings. Experienced a lot of bugs with that game, so it was nice to have a smooth experience with this game. The game doesn't require that much to run smoothly, so pretty much everyone can play this excellent game. It is just pure fun.
The game is really solid, and you should buy it, especially if you like Lego games, or the Marvel license.
PS. This is my first review ever, so apologies if there is any rambling or repetition, for I wrote off the top of my head. Thank you for reading :)
