Acerca deste jogo

Vector is an exciting, arcade-style game featuring you as the exceptional free runner who won’t be held down by the system. The game opens with a view into a totalitarian world where freedom and individually is nothing more than a distant dream. But the heart of a freerunner is strong, and you so break free. Run, vault, slide and climb using extraordinary techniques based on the urban ninja sport of Parkour all while being chased by “Big Brother” who’s sole purpose is to capture you and bring you back.
Inspired by the practice and principles of Parkour, Vector’s intuitive controls please players of all levels, and sophisticated level designs challenge the most demanding players with fast-paced timing puzzles as the traceur “flows” over the rooftops.

Vector for Steam will become even more unique thanks to controller support (already implemented) and two new game modes that will be delivered as free DLC soon after the release:

- Hunter Mode: Tired of being chased? Start fighting on Big Brother’s side and hunt down opponents to shock them with your trusty taser!
- PC exclusive Level Creator: Build your own dystopian stage with Nekki’s user-friendly editor or tweak the game rules changing the game’s XML files!

The best parkour-inspired action game! Vector lets you break free and run! Don’t get caught!

This is an example of a mobile port done correctly, Vector is an even better game for the PC and I have really enjoyed my time with it, especially since the adition of Hunter Mode and some new tracks.

There is no real need to describe what the game is about being as how the description on the Store Page is about all you need to know. To be brief, Vector is an arcade-style "runner" game where you play as a character with exceptional free running and parkour skills, on the run from the hunters trying to capture and re-imprison you back into their totalitarian World, "where freedom and individually is nothing more than a distant dream."
There is also a fairly recent new mode that allows you to play as the Hunter instead of the Runner, these are definitely more difficult but just as fun as the standard mode tracks, it gives you more variation and replayability for your money.

The game has a ton of characteristics that make it a good one, I really love the art-style behind Vector and the music suits the theme and tension of the game perfectly (playing without the music just isn't the same). The controls are extremely simple, it takes no time at all to learn, however, sometimes they can be very tricky giving you little to no time at all to press a button at the right moment, which can be frustrating on a number of tracks, particularly if you're aiming to get all 360 stars.

So all in all, Vector has become my favourite "runner" game, it's fast-paced and easy to learn gameplay is executed perfectly making it enjoying from the start to the end. I recommend this to anybody looking for a new casual game to play, also for the achievement hunters, this is a very fun and doable game to try and acheive 100%.

Vector, a side scrolling parkour game.

Pros-
* No hassle of sitting through storylines, start up and play
* Good music for tracks
* Good skills

Cons-
* Skills can be done only where the game wants you to do them
* Up arrow, up arrow, down arrow, right arrow - that right there is the skill required to play this.
* Hunter mode is frustrating

In short, if you would like to relax and kill some time, get this. No frustration (unless you are playing the Hunter Mode) at all. If you are a perfectionist, you will love this game, its all about timing.

Personally, I feel it is a great time-killer.

Decent platformer/runner game, but only for true fans of the genre with not an ear for music.

It's about:
  • riot against system;
  • parkour;
  • pushing button in right moment.

Why you should play this;
  • you not only liked BIT.TRIP RUNNER, but also considered it as an easy game;
  • feeling graphic style;
  • development approach: passing through levels you earn points to obtain new parkour tricks;
  • an opportunity to play not only as runner, but as a chaser too;
  • level-design with various game zones and complex, truly differemt levels;
  • meticulous animation of movements.

Why you may not like it:
  • looks like sountrack contains only 1 (ONE!!!) the same melody for all levels (60 for each game mode) - taking into account certain amount of failures that's worse than a torture;
  • no checkpoints - that causes a critical problems:
    • broken balance: if you want to collect all bonuses and perform all the tricks game is painful because mistake means start level again;
    • if you try to choose some middle ground in tricks and bonuses, game is easy;
    • complex levels (starting from second zone) demand to locate a right route - that, unfortunately, possible only through some amount failures - so, failures from wrong choice, failures from attempts to collect all bonuses and perform all tricks, necessity to push the button in right microsecond and inevitability to start level again if you make a mistake - all that hardly a positive gaming expirience.
  • the idea with obtaing tricks for points is meaningless because these tricks only for your eyes - they make your run more spectacular, but don't help to pass through level faster, don't secure you from mistake, they completely useless in other words;
  • tricks can be performed only in special places of the level: so, instead of helping you they become another source of tension.

If you a rookie in this genre, go through 1st zone (basic and bonus levels), delete and forget the game then: in this case, perhaps, your impressions will stay positive. Otherwise... well, you have been warned.
