Honestly, I bought this game because it was on sale and I was curious to see if it was as bad as everyone said. It's not. The graphics are pretty good and the soundtrack is excellent. The alchemy/crafting system, like the skill tree and gameplay in general, is uncomplicated. There are annoyances aplenty with the targeting and pathfinding, but they're hardly dealbreakers.
Iesabel is by no means a GREAT game - this isn't in the same league as Grim Dawn or anything like that - but its simplicity can be a virtue. Sometimes it's fun to just go kill stuff without constantly checking your gear and worrying about a dozen different resistances. If that's the mood you're in- and it's on sale- then this is the game for you.

Lesabel just feels like an unfinished game. There are 2 classes to choose from and the gameplay is really just kinda 'meh'.

The game have nice potential, but sadly there are too many things that went wrong.

+ quite nice music
+ beautiful lands

- spawn system, mostly you encounter few groups of mobs in a tight 5-10 party, and the rest of the map is empty
- some quests not work
- some dialogues are messed up
- controls are awful
- too many bugs and glitches
- and for me there is also a boring plot

Conclusion is simple, they released the game too early.

Blowing up monsters, beating numerous side quests, leveling up like crazy, having really awkward conversations with a shaman dude, Iesabel has it all. If only it weren’t a mobile game.

Now, I have nothing against mobile games, or mobile ports, but Iesabel suffers from the common downfalls of an Android and iOS port. While the graphics of the game aren’t terrible, and manage to actually retain their quality throughout the game (which is better than about 75% of games these days), I found myself constantly stuck on walls and bugging through trees. The UI seemed a little too rushed in my opinion, and while it didn’t really clutter my screen, it just didn’t look nice.

What really hurt was the targeting system. Just clicking on an enemy doesn’t always mean your character will attack it, and using abilities require you to be facing in the right direction. It wasn’t unplayable by any means, but it wasn’t fun either.

Okay okay, enough trash talk, lets get to the redeeming qualities.

The game’s got a story. It’s not particularly well written, but the plot is pretty good. There are twists and turns and characters that I actually like. There’s plenty of dialogue and a semblance of world creation. It’s not Diablo III, but I promised myself I wouldn’t compare this game to it.

There are plenty of side quests to do. Unlike other games I won’t mention, side quests are actually needed to go through the game. While this can be annoying at times, I personally enjoyed doing them, as I felt like I was actually a part of the world.

This game had so much potential to be great, and I’m sorry I didn’t enjoy it more, but I must be honest here. The game isn’t worth your time. A finicky and boring battle system and bugs galore make it a thumbs down for me.

Iesabel is a hack and slash RPG which has had a lot of negative reviews and IMO i dont think deserves it. Anyway, at start up you only get a choice of 2 heroes a barbarian or a witch. I chose barbarian for my playthrough and encountered NO game breaking bugs. Some people are complaining about game crashes of which I had NONE. The controls are different but easy to get used to. I got this game at 90% off and for the price it was totally worth it. 7/10

It's a dream of many a gamer to have Diablo on the go. Unfortunately, Blizzard doesn't seem willing to accommodate those desires, but plenty of others have stepped up to the plate. The most successful series on iOS has probably been the Dungeon Hunter series of games, but it has taken a turn into freemium that hasn't sat well with many gamers. With not a stitch of IAP to be found, Iesabel [$5.99] hopes to be the panacea for that group, and for a first effort at this type of game from a relatively small developer, it's remarkably well done.
Upon starting the game, you'll have your choice of just two character classes: a male barbarian (who is seemingly voiced by the Cookie Monster) or a female witch. It's not a very big selection, though the classes are at least very distinct. This option turns out to be a secret difficulty choice as well, because let me tell you, the witch has a much easier time of things than the poor ol' barbarian does. As you'd expect, the barbarian is a beefy close-range fighter who can equip more powerful weapons and sturdy armor, while the witch is more of a long-range squishy who can use powerful magic to summon minions and rain a little death.

After choosing your character, you'll wake up in a forest surrounded by dead bodies. You don't remember anything except that you need to talk to a fellow named The Shaman. The first section of the game is pretty linear, but after finishing a couple of quests, things open up a little more. Quests are pretty much what you would expect for this sort of game, mostly involving talking to someone who tells you to go here and murder that. Sometimes you'll be joined on your mission by AI allies, but more often than not, you'll be going it alone. That is, if you opt to go alone.

Iesabel supports online play up to eight players, and that is definitely the way to go for maximum fun. Multiplayer works well apart from a hiccup here or there, and it's a lot more fun (and practical) to take on the enemies with friends. Should you choose to play alone, though, you'll find the game is still a good bit of fun, but you'll have to play very carefully if you don't want to be overwhelmed by the enemy. They aren't especially intelligent, but they come in pretty deadly mixes and fairly large numbers at times. A brainless basher, this is not.
Your adventure will take you through a pretty good variety of large areas. Sometimes games in this genre feel more like an arena fighter, where you enter a wide open area, fight a bunch of guys who pop in, then move on to the next open area. Iesabel luckily avoids this, opting for more considered map designs with lots of twists, turns, and obstacles, which makes combat a lot more interesting. There are also a lot of treasures and hidden goodies tucked away in various crooks and crannies, which gives great incentive to take the scenic route rather than just making a beeline for the waypoint on the map.
Always a vital aspect of this kind of game, the loot you'll find certainly passes muster. Between the shops and enemy drops, you'll come across equipment with a wide variety of stats and effects. That delicious feeling when a piece of epic equipment drops is a staple of the genre, and they've done a pretty good job with it here. You'll almost certainly end up with more cool stuff than you can carry, which is unfortunately an issue at this point in the game's life.

See, for all the good stuff in Iesabel, this is unfortunately a very buggy game that feels, if not unfinished, then certainly unrefined. The game crashes a little more often than I'd like, there are a couple of game-stopping bugs (beware the graveyard), and the UI is really busy and a bit confusing, especially if you're playing on the smaller screen of the iPhone. The game's graphics, even at low settings, prove to be too much for lower-spec hardware like the iPhone 4, which I suppose is understandable at this stage. On any hardware, the load times are quite long, so long at times you'll wonder if the game has crashed (and sometimes it has), and thanks to the game's opaque auto-saving and complete lack of a manual save, it's far too easy to lose a lot of progress.
It also oddly refers to a touch-based control method, when the current version only allows for movement via a virtual stick. It should be noted that the developer has already delivered a very quick patch to address some issues, and seems to be on board with quickly updating the app to the best of its ability, but at this point in time, the game still feels very much like a beta.

Adding to that is the game's short length. You'll probably finish the game as it stands in under eight hours. Now, that's not terrible, but this type of game is usually more enjoyable the longer it goes, offering new challenges for your hero as they get more and more powerful. Iesabel's current content finishes rather abruptly. The good news is that the developer says they will be adding significant content to the app without any extra purchase, but in the here and now, you'll probably see most of what Iesabel has to see offer before your weekend's even up.

I am writting this review because I see it on sale. This is a negative review. This game is bad. I really did try to like it. It just feels broken. The controls feel broken, the skills are unbalanced. I only played a few hours. I just did not want to try anymore. It just wasnt worth it to me. Grim Dawn, Path of Exile, just so many more out there that are really good. This feels like a lazy port. It fooled me because the video and store page made it look so good. Im giving this review to help my steam friends stay away from it. Also it helps me to really study before I get another unknow game.

NO MULTIPLAYER.. WE WERE RIPPED OFF BY FALSE ADVERTISING!!

Bought a few copies so my friends and I could play together.. the multiplayer is diabled by the developers since January 2014.. yet its still listed as multiplayer in steam and on the developers website.

And the voice acting is absolute garbage.. so bad that singleplayer isn't even fun.

I bought this game after reading the reviews and thinking, "How bad can they really screw up an ARPG game?" I mean, its just point and click to move around and attack things. Not much more depth to these games than that.

Needless to say, I was shown exactly how you can screw it up by playing this game for 30 minutes.

1. Bad controls
2. Bad graphics
3. No video options
4. Horrible voice acting
5. interface looks like its from 1993
6. Animations are pretty bad
7. Combat is horribly slow, like its running at half the speed it should be.

If this game is the project of a couple of college students trying to pass game design 101, then congrats. This game just screams amature. It feels very unpolished, and I couldnt bring myself to play it another minute, despite only having played it for 30.

I first began to suspect something was fishy with this game when I noticed the tablet version has an infinitely smoother UI. That sums this game up well. Crappy port of a game built for a platform not ideal for gaming.

This game is poorly designed and has some horrible game breaking bugs. Im a reasonable person, and I know its an indie game so I can cut the devs some slack. I can do that much. But unfortunately what I cant do is play a game where when I click on an enemy, my spell fires way the ♥♥♥♥ in another direction. Additionally, the witches minions always lag 3-4 steps behind you, so basically you have to run into a crowd of mobs and aggro them then run back to get the minions to attack. This coupled with my characters ♥♥♥♥♥♥ aim means that when my spiders finally do attack, they take damage too fast since most my attacks miss completely and the enemies dont die fast enough. If they devs arent going to take the time to correct something so critical as a spells aim, then Im not going to take the time to play it.
