About This Game

"Just when ragdoll was becoming an irritant for gaming, Toribash swoops in to demonstrate why it's the best thing since shaded pixels." - PC Format

"Great physics; the best PC fighting game since "Rag Doll Kung Fu." - PC Gamer UK

Toribash is an innovative free-to-play online turn-based fighting game where you’re able to design your own moves. It is a martial arts simulator (yes, we do call a game with full body dismemberment a simulator) where you move your character by controlling joints on their body. As each of them can have 4 different states, number of possible moves is almost endless, which makes fights unique.

Main features:

  • Completely unique fights with players all around the world
  • Unlimited character customization: body colors, textures, flames, hairs and more!
  • Daily knockout tournaments hosted by the Gamemasters
  • Lots of ingame and forum events
  • Ability to modify the environment and characters using the built-in Mod Maker
  • Open market - trade any of your items with your friends or just give them for free!
  • An extremely long game genre name

Do you want a fighting game where you can screw around with your drunk friends on the weekends laughing at how dumb you guys look trying to fight each other, a la Sumotori Dreams? Then download this game.

Do you want a fighting simulator that you can get into immediately? Do you expect to look like the guys in that video up there right away? If you do, then don't download this game.

You'll get discouraged VERY quickly.

When they say you have total control, they mean it. You control every single muscle in your fighter's body. Are you expecting to know how to do a jump kick right away? Throw a punch? Expect to educate yourself on muscle movements instead, because trust me, you have no idea how complex even throwing a simple punch is.

I'm not kidding about learning muscle movements. You basically have to take an anatomy and physiology course before you can make your fighter even look human.

Go through the tutorial. It'll teach you some basics, but expect your fighter to look like a robot while fighting, and expect to get beat. A lot.

Then, watch some more advanced tutorials on Youtube. There are a surprising number of these, but for a game as complex as this, I'm not really that shocked. Even after practicing and watching Youtube videos, you'll still get beat, but don't get discouraged. There is a very high learning curve, but this is part of what makes this game exciting! I've played this game on and off for 7 years, and I'm still nowhere near as good as the higher ranked guys.

Playing this game takes commitment. It'll take a LONG time before your character will even make fluid movements. Don't expect to look like the guys in that video up there without years of practice. It'll take a long time, but is it worth it? You bet.

P.S. If you want to get serious and actually make your fighter look cool, be willing to spend a fortune because the shop is stupidly overpriced.

I ripped my friend's head off, and he survived and was still attacking and also I ripped my left arm off and used it as a club!

Pros:
+ Customizable characters.
+ Perfect 'jam-filled' fighting gameplay.
+ Many painful things that you can finally laugh at without getting yelled at.
+ Editors.
+ Extremely funny multiplayer.
+ Gamemodes.

Cons:
- When lag spikes strike, loading takes freaking ages!

9/10, the only thing here that is a rip off is the ragdolls' limbs!

Good day there, chap! If you are reading this, you have clearly found yourself upon the interesting game called 'Toribash'. (Before I state any more, pardon my keyboard! My grammer is great, but I cannot say so about the keyboard!), I shall simply explain the pros and cons to it, and if what I beleive might sway your decision, I am satisfied ( :D )!

First we must put this game in retrospect and look at the optimistic view. I shall now list the pros.

Pros;
* Great graphics
* Runs smoothly for laptops with RAM and extra disk space
* Only 272 Megabits (Extremely miniscule amount!)
* Physics compare to real life scenarious
* Has multiple tutorials
* Has Multiplayer
* Runs with multiple languages
* Computer bots
* Custumizable Avatars
* Mod content
* Texture Packs
* Innovative designing
* Creative Idea
* Thousands of guides
* Youtube videos (more guides!)
* Simple design
* FREE TO PLAY! (Got to love money XD )

There sure are alot of positive things! But, alas, there usually is some sort of demise to games. Now I shall list my personal cons.

Cons;
* (Alledgedly) Bugs
* (Alledgedly) Lags out with crappy computers
* (Alledgedly) Tutorial might be confusing and doesn't explain
* (Alledgedly) A lack of background might confuse or bore some
* (Alledgedly) Community can be very unfrienldy
* (Alledgedly) Long wait times for servers
* (Alledgedly) Tutorial doesn't explain
* (Alledgedly) No content available
* (Alledgedly) Overpriced customizables
* (Alledgedly) Boring Graphics.

(All of the cons were said by users, but I have had none of these issues or complaints correlating to the subject).

Honestly, I rate this game 9/10 because it still has to iron out alledged bugs, but it is extremely unique and has amazing graphics. It takes up little space, runs on modern computers and allows for mod content AND the creation of it. Multiple languages are provided, along with user customizable charecters, backgrounds, textures, sound files, etc. Thank you for sparing your time to consider this work of coding genius and it is all free!

Have anything you want to add? Comment below and I will be sure to contimplaint and decide to add this to my short and quaint review! Thank you!

This game is perfect. I'm terrible at it, but I love it. Ragdolls? Check. Fighting? Check. Epic mods? Check. Free-running? Check. Dancing? Check. It's all in this game, and the best part is it's free to play, and it's not currently pay-to-win. You can buy credits, or you can win fights and earn TONS of credits, and then buy things for your character instead of wasting real money. It's amazing. I am so glad this game exists.

I used to play this game before it was released on steam and i have to say that even with more than 200 hours of playing, Toribash it is still pretty hard to master. Overall it is a really challenging and addicting game that is being constantly updated by the developers. If you want a nice free game to keep you busy for a few months, this is the game for you.

Personally, this is one of my favorite games of all time. This game does everything an indie game should. It does DLC correctly, the multiplayer is stable, and the community behind it is fantastic. Also, the main mechanic works really, really well. It is'nt super freindly to new players, but once you get the hang of it, it's a perfect way to spend an hour or two after school.

A really fun physics/strategy game with a very steep learning curve.
Trust me to play this you will need to put in a couple of hours learning the physics.
The game's progression involves the upgrades in belts like you would in a real life martial art. This system allows you to pick multiplayer sessions to give a good idea of the skill level you will be presented with. That's if you dont get a secret pro who made a new account to get easy fights =,=
Anyway, for beginners this game is gonna be very hard and you're gonna need to have determination to even think about being good. But yeah would I reccomend this game?
Yes, if you like the whole human anatomy thing and want to put a few hours into something play toribash :)
And it's Free so you havent got anything to lose!
hope this was of help ^_^

This comes from 160 hours of experience,
You will love this game.
But only if you practice and keep trying, those idiots who put negative reviews that are like:
Horrible, just horrible
or
Crap, just crap
Those are the druggies you saw at highschool.
I have seen countless times people saying its too hard to learn but that is part of the fun.

This game is very hard to learn and even harder to master, yet it is a very rewarding experience.
Ever since i first heard about this game and started my first account, all of my warm memories are strongly connected with the community of this game, which is, in my opinion, the best community out there.
Sure, you will meet some noob sholvers claiming to be ultrapros, you will get kicked out of 1-man-lobbies with no restrictions on joining and no password, but for me, it will always be this nice place to come to every once in a while to have a nice talk at the chat while you wait in the queue to test your tactic against some other's.
This game is very innovative, clever, fun and rewarding.
Also, if you donate, or earn some of the in-game money through bets(which is real, unlike all those paytowin virtually-free-to-play "games"), you get to paint the textures for your in-game-character yourself, which can be educating for people who just start into 3-d modelling, or you can find some artist to make your character look the way you want.
Endlessly expanding number of mods will make sure you find all that you can possibly want (r34 included), every aspect of the game is absolutely customisable and changable, and it will endlessly teach you something new, not needing all of your free time.
It is a shame that developers left the mobile version of the game, but it is not the subject of this review.
If you actually take time to learn how to play, this game will provide you endless hours of fun rewarding gameplay.
Now, to make this review more like the other:

Ripped a guy's head off and then crushed my own legs off with it, TENOUTTATEN
