About This Game

Depth Hunter 2 offers 25 exciting missions in 3 huge locations around the world. Players will hunt different fish species and face the difficulties of breath-holding spearfishing, an ancient fishing method.

Players will also have to find treasures and get the possibility to take underwater photos to capture the beauty of the simulated, detailed and lively underwater worlds they’re exploring also in a exploration mode.

Spearfishing and Underwater Hunting are ancient fishing and hunting methods, used to catch fish by using a mechanical harpoon. Today, spearfishing is a sports activity in many countries around the world, especially in the UK, around the Mediterranean Sea and in South America. Spearfishers hunt while diving apnea, holding their breath, so have to coordinate their energy carefully while monitoring their prey, especially in tactically challenging hunting situations.

Got this as a mystery steam code expecting a big title but got this and you know what? This is kind of a personal little gem of mine now. I'm not going to praise it to be the perfect game, it's JUST a game you can sit down and relax to.

Yeah, it hasn't got "Ryse: Son of Rome" graphics.
It's not a massive blockbuster story like the "Batman: Arkham" series.
It's not the generic fast action gameplay you get in first person shooters.

It's just a beautiful game for you to explore.

I highly recommend this

It's definitely a good game. Only buy this if you are expecting a casual play because the gameplay is very basic.

Super relaxing underwater hunting game.

Beautiful graphics and soothing sound. Splash around hunting fish, seeking treasures and taking photographs in several nicely themed locations. That is very much all there is to the game. Air level warnings give you ample time to reach the surface and beyond a couple of barely damaging and easy to avoid hazards, you may swim and explore at your leisure.
Achievements are very easy to collect with just one taking some time to acquire, though you may also pick that one up if you take your time with all the others.

Recommend for crayon eaters, fish haters/lovers and those wanting a little Zen between games.

I'm not really a fan of casual games, but this game is really nice.
This game is for those days when you just get tired of all the action, gameplay is pretty fun and relaxing, so is the music..
Wouldn't really buy it for the full price to be honest, but it's worth buying on sale! =)

Bought this on sale for about 3 pounds, had fun for 3 hours. That's less than I'd pay to watch a movie or go to the pub for 3 hours so I'm not complaining.

After 3 hours I'd got full upgrades (in fact I got most of them after the first mission after spending time collecting coins) and had played all the modes the game had - fishing, treasure hunting, taking photo's.

Past that, other than more of the same on different maps the game was done for me. I guess it's possible there was a whole different game waiting to be unlocked after another hours worth of play but I doubt it.

I think the main draw with this is the novelty of playing underwater (seems to be one of the next big things from what I can see). If that's what interests you then I'd try Subnautica instead. Otherwise, at sale prices this relieves a boring weekend afternoon - If I'd paid full price this would have been a negative review.
