+ Takmak stops coming if player didn’t place anything at the altar. When player begins placing items at the altar Takmak arrives again.
+ Now loot remains from beasts when they were killed by cave goblins. Cave goblins stop gathering resources when player demolish their main building.

About This Game

Craft The World is a unique sandbox strategy game, the mix of Dungeon Keeper, Terraria and Dwarf Fortress.
Explore a random generated world populated by dangerous creatures, build a dwarf fortress, gather resources, and craft all the items, weapons, and armor you need.


GOD-SIMULATION
You control a tribe of dwarves by giving them commands to dig in certain places, attack enemy creatures, and build houses and other structures. You'll need to provide your dwarves food and clothing, as well as help them with magic when fighting against other inhabitants of the world. You start the game with one dwarf and gain additional dwarves as your experience level increases.

SANDBOX GAME
Each game level has many layers of earth to explore, from the sky down to boiling subterranean lava. The level is randomly generated as an island, restricted by natural boundaries: oceans on the edges, lava beneath it, and the sky above. Other features include day and night and changing weather conditions. The worlds differ in size, humidity, temperature, terrain, and flora and fauna. Abandoned halls and rooms with treasure are hidden somewhere deep within the islands.

CRAFTING
One feature of the game is a user-friendly system of recipes for crafting. The recipes are organized and easily accessible. You can craft dozens of different items: building blocks for houses, furniture, decorations, weapons, armor, ammunition, and food for your dwarves.

RTS
At the outset you find the recipes for basic tools and items, and build a small house with places to sleep and eat. Then, the size of the tribe increases and catches the attention of other inhabitants of the world. Most of them are night creatures and dwell underground. The worlds are full of fantasy creatures like zombies, skeletons, goblins, beholders, ghosts, giant spiders, and others. Some of them pay little attention to the dwarves, as long as the dwarves do not come into their field of vision. Others gather into quite large groups and try to break into the dwarves’ residence.

TOWER DEFENSE
Especially dangerous are the waves of monsters that appear from time to time from portals. So, do not neglect to build a safe haven with strong walls and numerous trapdoors, cells, firing towers, and secret passageways.

MAGIC
As a divine being, you possess various spells. You can speed up the movement of the dwarves, open small portals, illuminate dark caves to scare away monsters, evoke natural magic in the form of rain or tree growth, hurl fireballs at the monsters’ heads, and find useful resources and hidden rooms underground, thereby helping to speed up resource extraction, exploration of the world, and the population growth of your assistants.

After 30 hours I am finally on my way to world 2. Do not let the cute graphics fool you, this is a very challenging game. The more I play the more I want to beat it. If you like crafting, building, fighting, unlocking, gathering, and exploring you will probably love this one. It has an incredible amount of unlocks for you and your dwarves.

A rather strange, side-scrolling crafting and survival game. I can't quite place my finger on what I like about it, but it is fun. You are limited in what you can make, and many of the things you can make, can be found in underground rooms if you are willing to dig down and explore, but figuring out ways of surviving the waves of enemies who come every 40 or so in game minutes, is fun when you get into the higher levels. If you are looking for a game that lets you sandbox, this isn't for you. On the other hand if you don't mind that and want to have fun trying to survive, maybe you will enjoy it.

OK my "review" won't be really different from the others but I just have to do it. I can't understand how the hell this game has positive reviews, because there is something that absolutely RUIN the game from the go : AI, pathfinding and the crafting tree.

AI and pathfinding

- imagine that two of your dwarves successfully climbed down ( I mean, fell down) a dirt wall, and now they are unable to climb up again with their spiderman-like powers. So they stay there doing nothing. What do you do ? Hey ! you have two ladders in your inventory, let's put them just beside the dwarves, right ? Do you think those dwarves can put the ladder here ? HELL NO ! Another dwarf needs to come from the other side of the map to put the ladders, while the other two morons just stay here watching.

- now imagine that you put some platform across water so they don't need to swim all the way. Do you think they are gonna put the first platform, walk on it, put the second one, etc ? HELL NO ! A first dwarf will put one platform and go home, while a second dwarf swim to the other side and put a platform, and then others dwarfs will come, swim, try to achieve the bridge, get stuck in the water because somehow they can't jump back up. And once the "bridge" is finally complete after 30min, do you think the dwarves will use it ? HELL NO ! They'll walk on the first platform and then jump through the second into the water, and drown.

- now imagine that you need wool to make ropes, used to craft really important stuff like armors. You send a dwarf to kill a sheep at the end of the map, because there is never a sheep near your camp. Do you think the dwarf will pick up the wool and meat in his empty backpack ? HELL NO ! They send another dwarf from the other end of the map to pick that stuff up, like, 1 hour after.

- now imagine that you put a table somewhere. A dwarf needs to come here and put the table. unfortunately, by the time he arrives, there is a FU KING SNAIL on the table post, so the action is CANCELED ! AND THOSE FU KING SNAILS SPAWN EVERYWHERE BLOCKING PATHS !

- now imagine you're playing another RTS. You do ask your drones/villagers/whatever to gather some stone. Do you need to tell them to gather the stone in front to acces the second row of stones ? Of course not, they're not stupid. DWARVES ARE ! They will gather ressources without taking into account if they are destroying their path to gather more ressources ! It's the same when building, you can't fu king build a wall and a roof 3 blocks tall because they can only reach a height of 2 blocks, so it will take hours to put ladders everywhere. And everytime they put a block, it resets the pathfinding and the placement of other blocks gets canceled ! You have to manually put one block at a time waiting 5 minutes between each that a dwarf comes...

I could go on with the stupid AI but I'm only at the beginning of the game and it's already driving me crazy. I can't even imagine what's it's like with more dwarves, more enemies and more stuff to do, when you have to micromanage every action to be sure they don't get stuck doing sh*t somewhere.

The crafting tree

At first I thought the crating tree was nice, compared to games like Terraria where you need a wiki to actually know what the hell you're supposed to do. Then I realized that you need to waste a lot of ressource to craft 10 stuff you don't need just to access the next technology ( if we can call a bucket a technology ), like in stupid MMOs.

And then I realized that you need coal too cook something and the only coal I found was at the other side of the map, and I'd better kill myself rather than wait 2 hours for a dwarf to go there and gather coal. Oh but look ! A SHOP ! I'm gonna buy some coal. So... it's in my inventory right ? RIGHT ? HELL NO ! The coal is on the ground and a dwarf has to gather it, but they are all busy mining, fighting or doing nothing ( yes because doing nothing in this game is a queued action it seems ). So after 30 minutes I finally got the coal, so I can finally cook some meat. Right ? HELL NO ! After you craft the meat, a dwarf needs to cook it at a cooking campfire. Yes, a specific cooking campfire, because you can't cook meat, like, on a simple fire ?

Then I realized that the crafting section to build a stone wall was really far away and that it would take hours to have it, so I stopped playing. THEY ARE DWARVES ! THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO BUILD WALLS INSIDE THEIR MOTHER'S UTERUS, FOR BALIN'S SAKE !

On top of all of that you have to cope with annoying stuff like leaves growing fast everywhere, or plants, or some kind of crystals that look lke you can pick them up but you can't, the fact that dwarves won't eat some food because they had too much of it, or the fact that it takes hours before having a shelter where you can put beds so they can sleep...

Also, rain making puddles here and there, and water that won't disapear and keeps you from gathering the ressources it floods.

And last, the whole game seemed to scream "if this was on mobile/facebook there would be a paywall here to speed up the game and unlock stuff more quiclky !"

In other words : stay the hell away from this game unless you want to laugh at one of the worst AI I've never seen.

Craft The World it is 2D indie project Developed by Dekovir Entertainment. We will plunge into an unforgettable and hostile world. Which is filled with terrible monsters and priceless treasures.

To begin with, I want to thank the developers for a quality product. Usually sandbox survival and open world are rather crude, and immediately begin to bore. Craft The World was fantastic project which immediately pulls the player. The gameplay offers us the opportunity to follow and give instructions for the extraction of resources (wood, ore, coal, food, etc). Also, dwarves using resources can build various buildings (wooden walls, beams, chairs, tables, etc.) and create armor with weapons. Sometimes there are different evil creatures that wants to take the lives of our gnomes. There is a function allowing you to take personal and direct control of the employee. Very interesting tree of technologies, allows you to select which direction you need.

The game world is divided into two spaces, the surface and underground. Of course, on the surface there are important resources such as wood, water, food. Here you can find a variety of edible animals, or bump into enemies. Under the ground there are many minerals (iron, coal, sand, ore, etc) .There probability of finding various treasures, gems, secret rooms. The scale of the maps, as well as its key features are dependent on the world in which you will begin your
exciting journey.

The most interesting thing in the Craft The World - a system of crafting. You can create many different materials. For example, armor, weapons, tools of work, ornaments, etc. For the choice given the huge number of items that can be built. In campaign mode you'll be able to develop the technology tree, which opens up even more possibilities. Kraft is very easy to learn, it is not necessary to select the different ingredients to create something new. All the things that you can make appear in the form of recipes in the menu.

Upon completion of the mission, as well as for the elimination of the monsters, you will receive experience points, and when you achieve a new level you will get a new unit. (1 lvl - 1 gnome). Accordingly, a large population provides us with a huge amount of more resources. Each of the workaholic has its own qualifications, which makes it unique. During the game you will find books that you can use to learn certain skills.

The graphics in the Craft The World is good but not special. There is quite a typical hand-drawn graphics, which is in almost all 2D projects on this subject.

This is a really solid little sandbox game. Takes a lot of elements from games like Dwarf Fortress. Add an RTS element and gives you a retro 2D perspective with tons to explore like Terarria. Really solid graphic design also. The learning curve is a bit steep but it's really fun once you get going!
